once this happened I could build stuff at infinite speed (insta finish)

Soon after I crashed the game by trying to select hundreds of units.

I encountered the same problem in my first game. After about 10 min of play all units and buildings lost their names and descriptors. I could still see the names of the units possible to build though. Sorry no screenshot attached

Once I had played a game for about an hour or so and I exited back to the main menu. When I went to the video options and tried to change to quality settings each quality setting was showing up twice in the drop down menu. "Low Med High Low Med High"

Nothing serious but a bug none the less.

I had the same problem with descriptions disappearing. I also had a blue (or light blue if over a power station) grid appear at random times throughout the game.

The second problem that I had was during the construction of a tier 3 ship the tier 3 factory was destroyed and a "ghost" was left in its place for the rest of the game.

Another weird thing happened after I sent a scout to check out the enemy base. since then I was able to see any firefight on the map that I assume came from the previously visible units.

And then I had another weird thing happen where if I went to the bottom of the map and started moving the camera forward I could see hidden terrain at the bottom of the screen.

Anyway, I hope this is what the Devs are looking for. I would like to know if anything that I'm reporting as a bug is actually supposed to be in the game. Thanks in advance for the help.

Okay, I tried to paste some screenshots into the text (they showed up as pictures in the reply box) and apparently they were converted to text.

Edit: I removed the screenshots and will edit them back in as soon as I figure out how to link to them.

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here's my experience:

Runs great on my desktop with:

i7 4770k

2x R9 280X in Crossfire

16GB RAM

On my work laptop the game doesn't even load, instead only displaying a black screen which turns white on CTRL-ALT_DEL -> Task Manager with the message: "Ashes_DX11 has stopped responding"

I'm guessing the issue is the graphics card, as I'm actually using a professional card- AMD FirePro M6100 with 2GB VRAM

Aside from that the laptop has an i7 4810MQ and 8GB of RAM

Since pro graphics cards aren't all that popular, I'll be happy to test anything you guys need (assuming optimization for Quadro / FirePro is planned).

Proxima had a yellowish day today. Happend directly after launching into the game.

I found a few minor bugs... like health bars appearing in unexplored areas, those healthbars were enemy ones. The same goes with projectlies, being sometimes visible in the fog of war.

Healthbars disappearing from your own units... or not all are shown.

Cancelling construction of a unit in the factory leaves a ghost. Or when the factory gets destroyed leaves a ghost unit back which will not disappear.

I'm not familiar enough with the firepro series to know which card that is, it's possible it's not compatible.

Regarding your desktop, since you have a crossfire setup, if you are feeling particular brave you can try the native multiGPU mode in Mantle. Under MyGames\Ashes Of The singularity\settings.ini you can open in notepad and manually adjust settings. There should be a setting called AFRGPU=0. Change it to AFRGPU=1 and run the mantle build. Theoretically, it will be 2x as fast, but you need to run in fullscreen mode for it to work correctly.

Multi-GPU hasn't been extensively tested yet, but it is something we plan on supporting in DX12 and Mantle directly. That is, the engine does what the driver used to. We find this makes the multi-GPU setup far more reliable.

When I accidentally unplugged my keyboard, the in-game sound stopped working.

When I hit escape to pause the game and alt-tabbed out, when I came back the health bars turned on, and the "Options" button was not clickable.

In a Quick Start match that I had running fairly idle for 30 minutes, the game crashed.

If I can repeat any of these bugs, I'll submit tickets.

Not screenshot worthy but I had a factory build a unit to completion then freeze. Unit would not complete and I could not cancel it in the queue. Only had it happen one time though.

This usually means that you don't have enough logistics points for the unit.

This is a possibility. If that was the case then I think this is the first game that handles unit cap that way. Definitely not complaining though. It honestly makes it more realistic that the created unit can't just be deleted, and also can't deploy due to the cap.

The energizer is supposed to heal damaged units right? I don't think its working. If it is its too slow for how short the length of games are. Or is there a command I'm missing to make it do healing. I was thinking you just had to place it alongside a damaged unit.

agreed its way to slow.  not sure if balance is on the cards yet though.

@ Richy_Young: the blue cross hatch that you're seeing is the blue grid I was trying to talk about above (thanks for the screenshot :) )

Other bugs that I have found:

1) The unit squares in the building bar would light up inconsistently (sometimes I had enough resources to build a tier 2 unit and the research was done, but the unit's box was still darkened)

2) When trying to move a large amount of units up a narrow ledge I found that the capital ships (I had three at the time) would just bounce off of each other and kick one off of the ledge requiring that it start its ascent all over again

The blue grid is programmer art for the radar system.  If you build a radar equipped (Aegis or Pan) unit you can get some intel in the fog.

Some things I found:

Light sources are visible in unexplored territory:

Map borders are also visible:

There was one engineer who seemed to be stuck in the seed. I couldn't select him by clicking on the unit itself. When I tried to move him via the icon in the upper left hand corner he seemed stuck in the seed:

Yeh! I guess so. Would be nice to have some easier visual indication that its doing something though.

I'm not sure how to reproduce it exactly, but I do get a blue-tint on the screen on a startup. When I first launched the game, it happened, and when I tried it again after the computer was put in sleep for 6 or so hours. I'm still trying to get it figured out what causes it. The first time I got rid of it was checking the AFRGPU option.

Blue Tint

When this happens, I am able to zoom in past the unit I have ctrl selected, as in you are underneath the unit and lookup up at the belly of the unit. I have not got a screen shot of that since I forgot when I got this screen...

Another small thing was: I was able to scroll the viewpoint way outside the play area. I was using the arrow keys and moved it so the yellow trapezoid was not on the minimap at all. (moved it to the upper left corner and it kept going).

Kollock -- I saw this post and decided to give it a whirl.  I have an Radeon 295x2 which is essentially two ATI 290s running in crossfire mode on a single card. I have played three games now via Mantle and with AFRGPU=1.  I noticed a marked improvement in speed with all of the graphics options maxed out, with far fewer slow downs when zoomed out or during larger scale battles.  The game has been stable on me each time.  Pretty impressive stuff.

Not sure if it's a bug or just unfinished AI, but in my last game I noticed the AI had not claimed any of the metal resource nodes in their seed region.
