Long ago, powerful AAA games fought a desperate civil war across the industry. The noble 4X games, and the evil FPSs fought to within inches of final victory for the FPSs.
And then suddenly, they dropped in quality.
Their departure opened the door to the younger companies to make their way into the industry, but their progress was slow, for their ability to distribute great distances was limited by the Publishers. The Publishers could only send games between any stores.
The rise of the youngest company, Valve, on Earth in the 21st century let to a discovery that would shatter the industry balance: Steam. With this technology, games could distribute great distances on their own.
Now, the younger companies have found themselves in a race to research, develop, grow, and ultimately conquer the industry.
But as they will soon learn, there are far better titles in the industry... than each other.
