First I would like to take the thank  rjhughes67 for taking up this project. Nacey has had a lot of things on his plate and so he has not gotten around to Distant Stars lately. He says he will occasionally pop in with comments and ideas but his time is being taken up else where. I, Ryat, will continue to be forum moderator and master bug hunter for this project. And maybe the occasional change/addition.

Second I would like to thank Nacey, -Ue_Carbon, Draakjacht, Stant123 and Skyline (the originator of this mod) for all of their hard work on this project. Also give thanks to all the modders whose mod projects we used, abused and otherwise mutilated for our own mod.

And finally to our fans. Let's face it. Sins of a Solar Empire is a very moddable game and there are some excellent mods out there. We thank you for sticking with us.

No. You need to remove them from the player files along with all research. If you tell me what exactly you want I will help you. ( I need to know what Add-On's you are using.)

Hey hughes.

I just want to play the game without the CPU's loading up 50 superweapons. Slows the game down incredibly. I want them gone altogether.

I'm using the pirates and sound mod with the core Distant Stars mod.

My game always stops when it's getting good. Crashes my whole computer (specs are plenty good for the game I'm assuming it's the persistent RAM issue?). should I turn everything down to low graphics wise?

The settings I use are:

High     High     High

        Medium  Medium

           Low        Low

I also use the "LAA" program.

Here is your "No Super Weapon" Add-On :

The order Is:

1. DS-SoundMod

2. DS-NSW(Pirate)

3. DS-PowerfulPirates

4. DS-CoreMod

Would you explain more on how to use large address aware  and how to use it, and would it benefit us. If you are using it with success, I would like to know how to use it also. I just don't have any experience in doing so. 

 

Also, thanks for everything you have done with this mod. It is my favorite by far. Keep up the good work and anything you add to this mod is greatly appreciated.

I enjoy playing the huge maps and my game just locks up every time. I give up.

No error. The games just not capable of it. I like playing the huge map called Vast.

 

1 and 15 games let me go all the way.

Odd I have never had the game lock up even on the biggest map with several mods.  Sorry to hear your troubles.  :(

It would be software. You control the hardware by buying a 64-bit processor.

What do the different levels of Electornic Warfare do?  The first unlocks the drone.  What benefit does further (3) researching get?

I believe the effect is increased. Will look over to see if I can word the description better.

Hey, I have installed the core mod and the one that adds 6 new ships. The menu background has changed and everything. But where do you build the new ships from? In the diplomacy tree there is some researches i cant click or when i hover over it it says nothing.

So how do i build the 6 new ships and the super caps? AKA the phoenix.

Not super caps....They are "Flagships".. You must play the game in "Flagship" mode.

I dont have those options... I have the core mod plus the allegicance one that says it adds the 6 ships.. Do i need anything else to make it work?

Looks like a new update is in the works (1.86) that will make end game run smoother. We will be on top of it as much as we can.
