First I would like to take the thank  rjhughes67 for taking up this project. Nacey has had a lot of things on his plate and so he has not gotten around to Distant Stars lately. He says he will occasionally pop in with comments and ideas but his time is being taken up else where. I, Ryat, will continue to be forum moderator and master bug hunter for this project. And maybe the occasional change/addition.

Second I would like to thank Nacey, -Ue_Carbon, Draakjacht, Stant123 and Skyline (the originator of this mod) for all of their hard work on this project. Also give thanks to all the modders whose mod projects we used, abused and otherwise mutilated for our own mod.

And finally to our fans. Let's face it. Sins of a Solar Empire is a very moddable game and there are some excellent mods out there. We thank you for sticking with us.

Are you using Rebellion v1.82 or v1.83 ?

Hi, I was wondering if there were a way to modify Galaxy Forge to create Rebellion Distant Stars maps?

You need to drop the GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef from the mod (found in the GameInfo folder) and into the GalaxyForge GameInfo folder. Art and pictures is a similar concept.

It's been ages sine I last played this mod, I was thinking about this mod and how I loved it before rebellion came out (it definitely made Sins a better game for sure)

 

Any news of the next update coming out? I am anxious to play this mod/game again and it looks like it was supposed to come out in January or something. 

 

Anyways, real life takes priority over games and modding, I know you guys will deliver when you have the time, just keep up the good and know that there are people out there watching this project still, its not dead. :D

We have something that will work with 1.83 but we are awaiting its official release, though I think we should just release it now as its seems the devs of Sins is just leaving 1.83 in hiatus.

We are aware of the 1.84 update. It doesn't look all that much different from 1.83 but we will be releasing an update for it soon.

And more is released. We hope to have it all updated to 1.85 soon but incorporating and exploiting the new DLC will take a while. Please be patient.

Just got the new DLC today so work has begun on updating to 1.85 and making it DLC compliant. As Ryat said you are gonna have to be patient. We will keep you updated.
