Children of Storm

A high fantasy mod pack for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary heroes by Heavenfall, with help from EviliroN and jeffqyzt2. Players are advised to not play with the Rivermod on Huge maps, as the game may have issues with memory then. If you are having issues with world resources, such as iron ore, not appearing in your game - delete the Rivermod folder and start a new game. This only affects a small number of players for unknown reasons.

hi! is the undead faction the same of the dlc?(so i can save money XD)

and what ade the best mods compatible with COS (like quest, ui interface and other stuff)?

Don't know what other mods you want, you'll have to look around. As for compatibility, generally no. Some modders have gone out of their way to make it compatible with this, and if so it might say so in their post.

Ah, I thought he was an option for the lvl 9 fame event, my bad. I'll fix him in next release. People who follow this topic can delete the file meanwhile, or up the spawnrating to 9.

Megalol, DSRaider has said here https://forums.elementalgame.com/446891/get;3471857 that the current version of B&M is not compatible with COS but the next version "might be" as both mods are very extensive

Heavenfall,

Thank you for the COS mod.   It has really significantly increased my enjoyment of LH.   By the way,  I am using COS with a version of Hellion's Black Market Bazaar mod labeled as being compatible with COS and the two indeed do work well together.   

I hope that when LH 1.7 comes out you won't have too much work to do to update COS!

I want to preface this post by expressing my appreciation for it. I am awestruck by the size and quality of it. Zounds!

I have a problem however. Due to playing this game on a very low end computer, I am forced to pretty much play the whole game on the cloth map. However on the cloth map, dragon mounts and such from this mod are HUGE. The are so big that they occlude several squares behind them, which makes using them extremely problematic. I literally opt to have heroes use regular horses, even when they have a dragon, simply so I can realistically use them. Is there some number I can tweak somewhere to make their resolution scale on the cloth map more in keeping with other units?

Have you tried messing with the option "Scale Units When Zooming" in the advanced options? Not sure if that is what would help or not, just remember seeing it there.

My "Scale Units When Zooming" flag was off. When I turned it on, the problem got vastly worse. I would like for dragon rider units to be at least on the same order of scale as regular units. Right now they appear on the cloth map with four times the height of regular units, so occupying sixteen times the map area. I find it to be quite impossible to play on the cloth map with them showing.

Another question, is the graphics data for the Whisperhelm stored anywhere else than in the Reliquary.xml file (other than png and such files of course)? I tried to get the whisperhelm to use a different graphic, and found only two graphics references. Changing those resulted in the helm having 'no' graphic.

There is a cloth map scale value that might be slightly off causing the problem. Not sure since I don't play CoS, although it is a fantastic mod.

Unfortunately some mounts will show with the wrong scale on cloth map. I don't remember exactly why, but it has something to do with the mount scale overriding the unit cloth map scale. That said... the dragons look the right size to me! What dragon mount did you summon?

The whisperhelm uses the artdef Art_PlateHelmet_Light which you can find in ArtGameItem.xml in installation folder

Hey wanted to say I love the mod, made FE:LH fun again for me and been playing it non-stop since last Friday.

 

I am having one issue however that I am hoping someone will be able to help with. That issue is that about 3/4 of all the maps I start have no iron, crystal, apairy, temple, etc on them, only things they have are shards and very few clay pits. I tend to play on huge maps with most of the stuff balanced or default including resources if that helps.

Hmm that's kinda weird... Lots of (certain) mods can cause it but COS by itself should be ok.

Someone might have some better ideas.... but i'd start by moving all the COS files out of the mod folder.. and test that (a default, empty mod folder), so that then you know for sure it's something to do with the COS install.

As far as I know Children of Storm should not affect iron spawns. But you are not the first to have the same problem. I don't really know what to do about it. I'm not touching the iron ore world resource and I am not adding new world resources.

That is very weird then. Wasn't sure if with the added rivers if they counted as world resources or not, but I doubt that it would hit the limit that I have noticed people in other mod threads mentioning with just those even so. I might try just reinstalling it completely from scratch on steam when I get home in about 5 hours then adding CoS hope that solves it.

Are you using cheats to scan the whole map? There is the off chance that you are just very unlucky and aren't having any pop near you. If you aren't, enable cheats, do a couple ctrl-n to start new maps with same settings and then take a look at the entire maps immediately.
