I have been working on making some content mods for the release. I wonder how long people will play before switching over to the realm of storms? Better make sure the content is Stormworld compatible. I will be nice to have a larger number of people playing mods. But all others are going to be dwarfed in comparison to this one. Hope the reviews go well.

I definitely plan on running this mod, and Seanw's.

 

On another matter, one of my heroes donned the Collar of Fire in 1.4s.  (I'd like to finish that game before upgrading.)  Upon approaching an enemy I was informed its cooldown time would be 4294967295 turns.  This seems excessive.

If it's a content mod that is compatible with the vanilla game it should be compatible with Stormworld. Just make sure you follow the Background Unitstat mod for new unittypes and injuries.

Managed to start a Random Large map with Skeleton King (eh =/) but when I try play Angels the game crashes without fail every time I try creating a new Random map. Gave up after the tenth reload and loaded up the default Large map that comes with the game.

Update: Seems to be a problem with the Rivermod, removing that lets Random maps load with zero issues.

Make sure you read the install instructions for rivermod, or that crash will happen.

Added it to the original post and a FAQ section on the wiki. People keep having that issue, you're not the first. Unfortunately I need to keep those special instructions to make it work for now.

Are the new rivers rare occurrences Heaven?

Fixed the crashing issue with that missing file but I'm noticing with all the new games I'm starting (trying to get a decent starter city location on random maps can be tricky!) I'm only seeing normal rivers so far.

Mod is definitely installed (C:\Users\x\Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress\Mods\Stormworld_Rivermod) with that extra file in the Data/English main directory.

Yes, they are fairly rare. I used to have them more common but it devalued the "epic-ness" of finding them. They are also almost never placed near starting positions.

No, that was Derek Paxton that is the lead designer on Fallen Enchantress. The mod-team he led in Civ4 produced the Fall from Heaven 2 mod.

Actually, my nickname has nothing to do with the mod. I never played it.

Heavenfall: My feeling. You Derek Paxton  that is the lead designer on Fallen Enchantress.  At day you work on the vanilla game. But at night, doing your favorite thing - do a cool fantasy game!

Maybe this is being talked about in other threads, but what are your future ideas for the direction of this mod? Also, I kind of wish the FE modding section was laid out more like civfanatics forums so you could see all the discussions and threads relating to a mod in one place.

Please note that I haven't played any mods yet, but since yours seems to be a complete overhaul of the game maybe you're interested in other ideas for changes as well.

I played through the campaign and came away feeling really disappointed, but it did at least give me a few ideas for features that could be added to the vanilla game.

*spoilers*

For instance, have you thought about adding some form of religion to the game? The padres who worship the five, the kind of weird seer worshippers in the east, and more religions could be fleshed out and added to the tech tree. I think it would be cool if they added empire wide bonuses, and through research allowed for unique champions/improvements.

Sorry for the kind of randomness of this post, but your mod will definitely be the first I try, so I thought I'd share an idea in advance.
