I found a bug, well I think its a bug when I was facing the Angels AI, I faced their sovereign who was riding a horse.

I also have a query how rare is a item that is marked as Reliquary in Rarity display?

Angels riding horses is a bug, but I can't really fix it without improvements to the engine. It is enough that humans can't do it for now.

Items tagged as class Reliquary are extremely rare. There are guaranteed drops from the Burning Man and Dstaurmim, and a chance to loot something from the Vengeful dead (all three are events that only happen rarely). There is also a very small chance (0.5% maybe) to loot them from certain wildland bosses.

Some are 13-15.

Not juggernauts, units just have 1 member instead lf 3-5-7. Equip cloak on trained units for special powers.

 

I will put categories for items in next update on wiki. It is a good idea to have them there.

Hi HF - some minor polish stuff in the quest_tombofthedead2.xml:

  • Actual cost demanded in the first part is 40 gildar "...pay him 40 Gildar when you get there." but what is actually charged upon arrival at quest location is 30 gildar. May also want to look at references in the xml to gold instead of gildar.
  • An extra before just needs to be struck from this line:
    • From <ChoiceText>You see the tomb in the distance. All is quiet. The man demands to be paid before the guardians he encountered before wake up.</ChoiceText>
  • [Edit] Also, upon killing the guardians it said I received a red axe but I ended up getting a scroll of fortune (not complaining btw, +2 gildar merchant trait woot!)

Ever think about having a melee applies spell item that just gets out of hand? The Reliquary could do with some sort of amulet that applies an MAS (melee applies spell) that applies an MAS and an effect. Basically it would add say +1 Initiative to the guy that is hit and make each person he hits get +1 Initiative. I imagine it would be like getting hit speeds up your travel through time, working like a virulent poison. Any unit that is affected by the item would get soul sickness for a time after the battle. A sort of boomerang effect in the time stream where their velocity moves heavily back and forth until eventually settling. During the soul sickness, you would have a +-5 Initiative at the start of battle. I was going to add it my game, but it would fit so much better in the reliquary.

When I play, I mostly play Empires. They just have cooler champions imho (a zombie champion > an elf champion in coolness). Recently I've started to play the Kingdoms a bit more, so if anyone has any ideas on how to make them cooler let me know.

Thoughts:

Angels really should have a spell to turn shards into life shards.

Elves are bloody overpowered! Their drawbacks don't really make up for the huge mana income.

Centaurs badly need something to make them stand out as a faction. They have +20 Carrying Capacity and +1 Moves, but they need some spice.

Gnomes, Living Stone and Shadows all have their fun mechanics that separate them from the other factions.

an idea for the centaurs, perhaps all units of the centaurs get a bloodline trait that gives charge,

and another idea for the elves no metal mining/armour as they are tree huggers/wild children not ones that dig in the dirt(which would be the gnomes)

Shadows have charge so I can't give that to centaurs unfortunately.

I had a reduction in metal income for elves before, but it was very problematic because you really needed it to build any unit. Now there isn't the same metal requirement for magic gear, and you don't need warfare so much to get magic gear either. I'll put it back in.
