Im Running a 64-bit computer with 6gb... and put the folders in the mods directory

I have problem only with the Rivermod... when i remove the rivermod and the -localdataonly the others submods works.

Try copying over TerrainTypes.xml again. Other than that, I don't know what's wrong - maybe a botched installation of the game. If you feel like it, you could try reinstalling FE.

Or you can always play without that part.

I would love if the installation was super easy. Can you make a exe that installs the mod for you?

You could have a manual installation option for people who are afraid of viruses also.

Yeah, confirmed. The -localdataonly for my rig nukes the swamps and forests. QQ - no rivermod for me. I had to reinstall FE to get the shrubs back for some reason as merely removing the -localdataonly did not fix the problem.

However, I've downloaded version 1.4h and the game is crashing on the load map screen (right after selecting a sov and qing up a map). Trying to figure out what's causing that. Vanilla is running fine.

[Editx2] Wow, just noticed the Win7 upgrade put a 1.5 year old driver for my vid card. Gonna update that sucka then try again.

It was just a suggestion. I would have downloaded this if it was easy to install. Many other mod communities provide it, tested for viruses of course. 

I will probably install it anyways post patch but the patch on Thursday makes me not want to try installing and uninstalling it yet.

Its fine though, it is your choice of course.

I'm thinking about adding Lizardmen as a faction: http://i.imgur.com/sVrKl.jpg

They'd be a sort of mix between Greenskin and Magnar, think Lizardmen from Warhammer. Swamp-travellers, slavers (capture humanoids/train slaves), free access to something like Sacrifice. Lizardmen would have a natural armor giving them some extra defense, would be susceptible to cold damage. They'd also have access to spellbooks like Pariden so they can teach their champs stuff. Maybe juggernauts as well.

Any interest in such a faction?

No, poison I think is more for Drota. I envision Lizardmen as blood magic users practising human sacrifice, also capable of surviving in extreme heat. Like Mayans in culture - a vast empire based on royalty and religion that stagnated and was wiped out.

In Stormworld they existed before even the elves. They ruled all the world approximately 30 000 years before the Cataclysm, but something killed them off (possibly interaction with the first Drota empire combined with internal strife over uncertain succession). Like the Mayans they believe that time ebbs and flows, and that all powers rise and fall and rise again. Perhaps the Cataclysm is just such a catalyst to bring the surviving Lizardmen together again.

Edit: No actually, the Blood Curse killed their civilization. The Blood Curse is a spell that allows a magician to sacrifice huge amounts of population in order to gain a lot of hitpoints. So the Lizardmen used those spells, vanishing entire nations overnight, and then fought each other as demigods. The winners, mad with hubris, went after the real gods in Stormworld at the time (the six primordial elements) and were destroyed. That's why when the Elves appeared they were the only sentient creatures in the world.

Maybe they'll show a little more restraint in their sacrificing. Unlimited blood sacrifice is unsustainable. But regulated sacrifice, that's where the money mana is! *_*

Lizardmen would be great.  I can see them as my new favorite.    

 

Just a note of thanks:  I am loving (!!!) my current game as the Centaurs.  I have been casting Tornado (air spell) all over the place to defeat the stupid hoarder spiders and troll groups that are going crazy out of the wildlands and have a big battle going on with the Elves & Living Stone (battle of expansion, not swords, yet  :) ).   The Elves even took a wildland quest and defeated it.   8C

My 11 year old and my 5 year old are finally showing an interest in the game because they like Stormworld factions rather than the vanilla ones.   They really like the skeletons and shadows and constantly ask me to play those factions.    

In any case, thank you and great job!

 

edit:   My 1st hero now rides a horse that I bought from the shop....I keep thinking it is probably blasphemous for him to ride a horse, but it's too good for me to Roleplay him without one.

I think riding horses is fine in a centaur society as long as you treat it well. Not that centaurs are particularly kindhearted, but there is the implied ancestry and a small thing called "common courtesy".

My Id prefers Stormworld, but my Ego will only ever let me play Elemental Balance Mod. And everytime I do, Superego bitches about how I really should be testing the vanilla game for bugs. :annoyed:
