Welcome to the Fallen Enchantress beta!  This FAQ should answer most of the common questions you might have for the FE beta.  Again, thank you for your help in testing FE and we'll be around to answer any other questions that might come up.

 

Q: Who gets the Fallen Enchantress Beta?

A: Everyone who purchased War of Magic in 2010 will receive free access to the beta.  These invitations will be staggered, watch your email to see when your invite arrives.


Q:  I’m in, where do I download it from?

A:  FE will be a direct download from your Stardock account page - https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products.  Login with your account and you will find the Fallen Enchantress beta available under the “Games” section.

  

Q: How do I know if I receive access?

A:  We will be sending out e-mails, you can also check the Elemental purchase page (while logged in) to see your upgrade/beta status or simply check your downloads page. 

 

Q:  I found a bug or issue with the game, what do I do now?

A: If you have feedback please post in the FE Beta forum (https://forums.elementalgame.com/forum/1010).  If you encounter any bugs or issues please post those in the support forum. 

To make it easier for us, please tag your post title with [BUG], [CRASH], etc.  Also, when reporting any issue, please let us know what version of the game you encountered the error on.

Q: Is there an NDA for the Fallen Enchantress Beta?

A:  There is no NDA for the beta. 



Q: Do I need to activate Fallen Enchantress?

A: The Fallen Enchantress beta requires the player to be authenticated to receive the latest updates.  You will receive a serial number with your beta invite that you will need to register your game.


Q: When will the final game be released?

A: The specific date has not been finalized yet, when it’s set then we’ll let you know!



Q:  I love Elemental!  Where can I talk about it or find out news about it?

A:  Pretty much anywhere.  We have pages on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and of course our own FE forum for people to discuss it.

I preordered the Limited edition of E:WoM on August 4, 2010.  I received and registered my copy 12/13/2010 but I do not have anything on my Stardock account about the FE beta, and I never received an email although my email hasn't changed on my Stardock account ever.

 

If you didn't register your copy until 12/13/2010, you will have to wait a few weeks probably to be sent an email and be entered into the Beta.

Wow! Stardock knows how to tease customers to death.

Yesterday Fallen Enchantress showed up in my Stardock account for download all of a sudden, although I didn't pre-order and therefore only qualified for the second beta round starting on Thursday. Honest as I am I didn't care and  tried to steal two days of beta access immediately.

Unfortunately I did neither copy and paste my serial nor did I keep the browser window open and after the game was installed... you name it! Now there is that annoying registration window on startup asking me for my serial.

You should be able to get your s/n on the order history page, it's an expandable link right under the name.

I never received an email either and my email hasn't changed.

But when I logged into the store it was there for me to download.

No, because I wasn't supposed to get it that early and it was completely removed from my account again minutes later. However, it is back now besides the update to 0.76.

Just got an email that said I was included in the beta, and will be getting the game on release for free because I supported you guys early. Thanks, Stardock! I'll be sure to enjoy this!

I can't play this :( The setup isn't considered a Win32 application apparently, and Impulse doesn't understand the serial number I got either.

What to do?

I bought my E:WoM 26.08.2010 in Russia (i bought a box) and registred it immitedly.

So, i really want to play beta. My Stardock page - of course, dont have this option. Also, it doesnt have any order history.

Do i have any chances to fullfil my destiny? What i must do? Please, answer me, because i watched this game from e:WoM beta, non-stop. I am big fan of FfH2, played it ALOT, and i search something similliar, and i hope i found this game, in Fallen Enchantress.

at least, im not so sure about register date, it might be innacurate. Just my whole folder was created this date. But this may be false, because i downloaded the game before purchasing, to be sure, that i will play immitedly after i get the copy. But im sure, that i bought the game somewhere in fall of 2010. How i can check this at least?

The beta is not available in Impulse, only from the Stardock store. If the installer is getting corrupted, try re-downloading using a download manager app.

Check with [email protected]. They can review the registration records and get things sorted if need be.

Just checking to see if Beta emails are still being sent out, I believe I got my copy of WOM in late 2010 and registered it in late 2010, can't wait to play the beta since it's been so long since I played WOM. There is no download available as of right now. :)

Bah this is very frustrating. I have been gone for awhile, and I log in to both Stardock Online store and Impluse and I now have zero games :|

I sent an email to support. Heres hoping they can resolve it quickly without any teeth pulling required.

Are they still sending out beta invitations?

 

I see that there is a 'welcome' message on the Fallen Enchantress page thanking me for buying WOM way back when, but I still haven't received any emails yet..

 

Since the last post in here was from 4 days ago, just wondering if I missed something.

Send an email to [email protected].  If you bought WoM in the correct timeframe you should get access, but you do need to follow up if you think you should have access but don't, as it is impossible to get to 100% of people.  Some people need to get in touch with them. =)

Thanks, I sent them a message at the Stardock.com support site.  :)

 

Hopefully I'll find out soon.

 

 

Edit:  I got a reply already from the Stardock staff.  I bought the game in December of 2010, so I'll still have to wait a bit yet.  Pretty impressed with their quick response though.  That sort of prompt courtesy to this customer goes a long ways towards retaining him. :grin:

Got my email & it has a link to my Stardock account & says Beta will be available appx 3pm tomorrow. 

Brad did mention a serial number above, but I assume that will be available on my account page tomorrow when the FE Beta is posted, since there are links to serial numbers below all my other games currently on my list.

 

Yes, your serial number will appear on your "My Downloads" page along with the download when the beta is available. Please note the beta will not appear on your account until we push it live.

They replied in another thread that it is still on target for today, but they are currently tweaking a few things.
