Fallen Enchantress: Beta FAQ

Welcome to the Fallen Enchantress beta!  This FAQ should answer most of the common questions you might have for the FE beta.  Again, thank you for your help in testing FE and we'll be around to answer any other questions that might come up.

 

Q: Who gets the Fallen Enchantress Beta?

A: Everyone who purchased War of Magic in 2010 will receive free access to the beta.  These invitations will be staggered, watch your email to see when your invite arrives.


Q:  I’m in, where do I download it from?

A:  FE will be a direct download from your Stardock account page - https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products.  Login with your account and you will find the Fallen Enchantress beta available under the “Games” section.

  

Q: How do I know if I receive access?

A:  We will be sending out e-mails, you can also check the Elemental purchase page (while logged in) to see your upgrade/beta status or simply check your downloads page. 

 

Q:  I found a bug or issue with the game, what do I do now?

A: If you have feedback please post in the FE Beta forum (https://forums.elementalgame.com/forum/1010).  If you encounter any bugs or issues please post those in the support forum. 

To make it easier for us, please tag your post title with [BUG], [CRASH], etc.  Also, when reporting any issue, please let us know what version of the game you encountered the error on.

Q: Is there an NDA for the Fallen Enchantress Beta?

A:  There is no NDA for the beta. 



Q: Do I need to activate Fallen Enchantress?

A: The Fallen Enchantress beta requires the player to be authenticated to receive the latest updates.  You will receive a serial number with your beta invite that you will need to register your game.


Q: When will the final game be released?

A: The specific date has not been finalized yet, when it’s set then we’ll let you know!



Q:  I love Elemental!  Where can I talk about it or find out news about it?

A:  Pretty much anywhere.  We have pages on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and of course our own FE forum for people to discuss it.

Question... I logged onto my stardock account on your website, but under games I did not find Elemental - WOM listed. Is this good or bad?

I didn't get cancer, but I got another, unpronouncable disease.  Is there an issue with me having different hardware than Heavenfall?

I got what Heavenfall got AND what Winnihym got, where do I go to receive free healthcare for life? I'm pretty sure it's because I'm running a GTX580 and not the newest, fastest card on the market that would have prevented this. 

In all seriousness, I CAN. NOT. WAIT. to get cancer by playing this game. Could 2012 be the year of Stardock's resurrection/vindication?  

I sure hope so. I'm pulling for you guys.

All in good fun, good sir. Just letting FrogBrad know that we aren't going to kill him if the game isn't perfect. 

I'm sure you guys are working crazy overtime to get this thing ready, but are we still expecting it to start tomorrow?

I'm guess Fallen Enchantress isn't showing up yet?  I look through my history and it shows I got Elemental Limited edition August 1, so I should get early access, just don't see anything about FE on there yet.

Official launch for beta is the 19th.

My thoughts exactly. I'm going back to school for game development so I've been pouring over the XML files for WOM (even though I know its pointless because FE may change them) and try my hand at modding to practice some of the skills and kinda learn how this stuff works.

When the e-mails start, they are going out in staggered groups like the FAQ said.  Not everyone will receive them at once.

I too have received the e-mail on the FE beta but there is no serial number in that message with which to register the game.     That does not fit the FAQ above.

Island Dog would you please help us understand this change from the FAQ?

Got my email & it has a link to my Stardock account & says Beta will be available appx 3pm tomorrow. 

Brad did mention a serial number above, but I assume that will be available on my account page tomorrow when the FE Beta is posted, since there are links to serial numbers below all my other games currently on my list.

Oh wow, it is showing my purchase date as last month and I preordered the game as we were able to. o.O

 

 Update: I received the email like 20 minutes ago :). All is good in the world!

Thanks Island Dog, I did, because although I did receive the email for the beta, there's nothing listed at all at my account... and I got the email on a different adress. Something is not right, and I want my disease!
