@morph- I had a truly wonderful day yesterday since that was the day that the Unreal Tournament 3 mod Angels Fall First:Planestorm was released on UDK. It isn't even quite as much as the UT3 version (it's a UDK Showcase version), but it does mean I can now pwn stuff in AFF:PS!!!!

I only get the low frame rate when large numbers people are present in the area.

I'll give you the racial capitols, those could be optimized so this issue isn't that big, but Archosaur, there are NEVER less that 300 people present, whether they're playing or have a shop set up in the main entryway.  300 is a lowball number.  Most often it's 300-600+, no joke.

Probably not going to join PW; the only 2 online games I tried and liked were Taikodom and EVE Online (both are scifi space MMOs). That, and my time is just taken up by the UDK Showcase version of Angels Fall First:Planetstorm.

I haven't posted mine yet because Skidi is the only one who has (and it was in the Banned game way before I asked).

This is pathetic. The game not only needs to be optimized, but it also needs many realms, like any other modern MMO-RPG. I know I am gonna mention it for the 1454353543th time, but in BotI, there are no less than 8 realms, and that was in the closed Beta. It has been said, that if it gets crowded too much, they might add another 2 realms. However, I only saw realm 1, 2 and 3 to be crowded at peak times, the other 5 were just fine.

Thats how a modern MMO should be like.

Also, like I said, it doesnt matter for me if its only on racial capitols. It sucks.

Yeah, but morph is opposed to playing a game with lowered graphics apparently .  I think it's a love it/hate it scenario.

Storm, you dont understand.

1. The extremely low FPS, doesnt have to do anything with lag.

2. The game should run at 200+ FPS with my PC specs, considering its ancient poor graphics, and it goes up to 40, at empty areas (no other players, just monsters). This proves just how insanely unoptimized it is.

3. Realm is: Same server, but different....realm. How can I say it? it doesnt show 300 people all at once, like you said that PW does, instead, you can choose your realm at any time, (even while in game, its changes realms fast), and you go there. The different realms, are basically the same server, same area, but other people. It simply divides people, so that an area doesnt get crowded, thus, not only helping with performance on low spec PCs, but also avoids the "dont steal my cookies" effect (basically when there is 1or2 items required for a quest, and there are 5 people at the same spot, trying to get it all at the same time. I know, these items respawn, but it gets annoying to wait your turn.), these things dont happen when there are different realms on 1 server.

I dont know what lag you were talking about, but in BotI, there were 2 servers for EU people: Atlantis, and Abyss. I didnt play with US people, because I am EU, so I dunno about US, but these 2 "EU" servers, were actually located in US east. I read that in the forums, when the administrator, had first announced the Closed Beta of the game. So in these 2 servers, I had less than 120 ms ping, which is very good for me, considering I live in Greece, kinda far.

In PW, there were many different servers, (more than 6-7, if i remember correctly), I dont know which server was for EU (or if there are actually servers for EU people), I just connected to Lost City, which I knew it was the server you told me to go.

So, in every server, I saw ping latencies, more than 350+ ms. Huge pings for some weird reason, and I KNOW that it wasnt my connection, since I run several pingtest.net, to verify my low pings with most of US locations. Only in PW, for some wierd reason, my ping with all the servers was huge. More specifically, the server with the lowest ping was about 384 ms, and the server with the highest, was 500 ms. Lost City was at about 400, so it was just barely on the edge of it.

Fortunately, I saw no lag whatsoever, only poor graphics, and terrible framerates.

Edit: Oh, and the question you asked about a server that supports more than 300-600 people without lag, do you want me to make a list now, or later?

I dont know what else to say, thats pretty much it, and if you wanna disbelieve me, thats fine. I'm just trying to be real here.

Skidi, I clearly said many times, that my problem was not only the low frame rates, but also the poor graphics of the game. Lowering the already poor graphics to medium or low settings, doesnt make sense for me.

And for the record, I'm gonna say it again, just in case you missed it: PW seemed a really awesome game to me, too bad it has such a bad graphics engine.

BotI is basically pretty much in the same page, (as a game), with small improvements, prettier UI, but decent graphics, and optimized gfx engine.

Thats why I got so hooked up with it (not telling you that BotI is good, and PW sucks, just my opinion and preferences).
