• Pre-orders are not being charged until the app is ready for download.  Any charges you might see are pre-authorization charges from your credit card company.  Some do it, some don't.
  
  
• You are not purchasing a beta, you are pre-ordering ObjectDock 2.0 with the option to download the beta when available.  It is not required, and if you are not comfortable with a beta, I recommend either pre-ordering and waiting until final release, or waiting until the launch.

wrong or not, you still have the choice.  i think everyone complaining needs to recognize that.  also, stardock has a pretty good track record, i've been an obnt subscriber for i don't even know, 8-10 years or something?  sure, i've had my share of complaints and problems, but that doesn't keep me from continuing to buy their software, they earned my trust.

if blizzard charged for starcraft or WoW betas, u can rest assured millions would pre-order for the beta.  this has actually become quite common in the gaming scene now, lots of games advertise beta access with game preorders, and many people buy it.

it just annoys the hell outta me that people complain about it when they have the choice not to participate, why complain, whats the point?

Yes.  Paypal just can't be used now because it's not being charged right a way.

I think peps who own ODPLUS should have been given the beta for free, makes no sense to me paying for something without it being a finished product.

but i see it easyly. information (including x64 support on Vista) is for that who are always asking on forum when OD+ will fully support 64 bit on vista. previous version wasn't officially available for vista 64. i see that requirements should be writen for non thinking people like this:

"requrements:

vista rtm 32, vista rtm 64, vista sp1 32, vista sp1 64, vista sp2 32, vista sp2 64,  etc. "
