Day 5 ....Kanloop.... net access was being a pain....couldn't get on.

Day 6 ....Jasper....beer 30 ...Gimli almost looks human.....Frodo is short....still not King.

On our way to Kanloop I had to sing the tune to First Blood....it was shot nearby....

End of the train leg....in Jasper....one day I'll be in a place that doesn't have issues with fires.....;p

Net is working [obviously].

If I eat any more I'll need jaws-of-life extraction from the next bus/taxi/whatever....;p

getting a little worried about that average.....   ..we aussies have a reputation to maintain you know.....gotta keep your end up.....

Day 7...took a little 'truck' up onto the Glacier...got a foot wet....kinda cold...

Then Fairmount Chateau Lake Louise ....where the only thing better than the view was the venison....

Day 8 ....Banff ....and up on those little gondola thingies...if they had wheels they'd be Smart cars.

Beer 45 ...still not king.

Liver may not last...gotta buy bigger pants....;p

Yep...a couple of decent ones....and now it's day 9 [PM] ...and now in Calgary....after chopper flight [that was fun].

Beer 49 .... still going strong.

Calgary is about a third the size of Melbourne....dunno where they hide the 30 million Canadians...maybe they all skived off to the US....;)

The Canadian rockies have been a buzz... enjoying the trip immensely....

If you're lucky, by the time you get to Ontario, the leaves might have changed colour. The landscape is rocky and rugged, and very beautiful. I hope that you're enjoying the trip.

I don't know, Paul. Watch out what you drink there in Canada. From Wikipedia:

Seeing as how you're in Quebec, you might want to try Brador beer. The city of Quebec is pretty unique. I wouldn't be surprised if you like it.
