Tomorrow morning [Friday, Aus time] I'm on a plane to the US and Canada.   All things going well [the US doesn't chuck me out for being unintelligible] I'll be visiting all the great guys and gals at Stardock HQ.

Yay for me.....  It's been a loooong time coming.  I've known these guys for about a decade so it'll be a 'buzz' to finally catch up with them in 'Real Life' [tm].

In all of my history with skinners/skinning I've only met 3 skinners before, all of whom were from Oz, like me.....so this will likely be sensory overload [or something]...;)

I have a beat-up old laptop that'll hopefully keep me in contact here on my travels....and if I get a chance on the road I'll try to post the odd pic or two, but I'll likely not be on quite as frequently/long as is usual.

If you've the inclination to PM or otherwise contact me re issues with Wincustomize and/or its inhabitants it may be a better bet for the next few weeks to badger Island Dog in lieu.....[he yearns for your contact]....;)

Hopefully I can get one or two group mug-shots at Stardock on the 16th to show you what an ugly - er - wonderful bunch of people they all are....

Take care of each other...I'll be busy taking photos....;)

Day 28....Vegas....tacky place...full of sad, pathetic gamblers....no sign of an Elvis.

Day 29...Grand Canyon....helicopter flight down to the river...boat ride....amazing scenery....worth putting up with Vegas.

Got a pair of HD boots for my birthday.....beer 127 ....also managed some silly happy-hour that had a double gin, lime and lemonade....wrong order, Terry....followed up by a double brandy, lime and lemonade....Martini with dinner...and finished off Terry's too....can't remember much after that....;)

Day 30....Santa Monica....beer 131....Terry bought number 7 pair of shoes....needs more feet...;p

Same impression I got 28 years ago.........

Grand Canyon's definitely a must see. So is Yellowstone but it would've taken at least a week to do it right.

Grand Canyon is stunning...just shows one what some water, rocks and time can do...Lantec's absolutely right about Yellowstone. I found Bryce and Zion simply incredible also.

Vegas? Never went...seemed tawdry to me even from the spiffed up ads.

Day 31...getting plane to Oz at 11.30 pm....A380....one of those big bastards....;p

Beer 136 ....end of trip....got yet another Leather Jacket....Terry's wearing it on the plane....ran out of places/weight limits to put it anywhere else...

Left on time...11.30 PM LA time Monday..... got home 8.00 AM Wednesday Oz time.... slept about 10 hours or so though.

All in all....a bloody good trip.....hilight [for me] still was/is the trip to Plymouth....meeting the SD crew....;)

Had the 'fun' of sifting through 399 emails....about 75 were crap.

My UPS decided to make noises and not work....something to look into...but main machine is back in action....good to be back on a fast machine....the Lappy is ancient.....must replace it one day.

I now have 1600 photos to sift through....not counting Terry's as well.

I'll upload a few soonish....;)

Well!!  It's gotta be more relaxing than gallivanting from one end of the Nth American continent to the other. ;)
