With apologies to those that may have seen this information elsewhere, and with deep appreciation (even if it goes unstated over the next several busy days and weeks) for the well wishes that have been and may be sent my (and my family's) way, I'm posting this article to note the unexpected passing of my wife.
She died in a car accident on the afternoon of July 19, 2009. Her car was rear ended and apparently the car and she took enough damage to terminate her life.
I've posted elsewhere that this should send a message to anyone that reads this news that life is far too short and things like this can happen anytime and to anyone. If you've not already done it, and you have family to be concerned about, be sure to do those nagging little legalistic things like forging and filing a will and be sure to have conversations with your loved ones about the types of arrangements you'd want after your passing. I know some of those things and I think I'm making informed and intelligent decisions on behalf of my wife, but if such things were written down there'd be no questions.
Meanwhile, if you have loved ones, grab 'em, hug 'em, and tell 'em you love them at every chance you get. Yes, it really is that important.
