Fences is really taking off, and I wanted to see how some of you are configuring your desktops.  This is my current simple setup, but I’m going to get more detailed later on.

I would but I pretty much stopped using desktop icons long ago.  I hide the icons on all my systems now.

I will however, tell everyone I know who does use them about Fences, and point them to this thread.  ;P

Here's my Fences setup:

I have all my icons/Fences on my secondary monitor, hence no start button or systray ;)

PS: Image scaling in news comments sucks....

PPS: Commenting on news using FireFox is even worse..... (Had to use IE to put it the screenshot.)

Fences are awesome! I'm really surprised it's been released for free. I thought this would be a OD Ultimate addition. It easily could be. The only problem I've had is that I cannot find a way to exclude Right Click from Fences - or vice verse. When Right Click is running I cannot rename Fences (etc.) because the Right Click program pops up when clicking on an empty area of a Fence. I am surprised how well it works with Deskscapes however.  :)  The Right Click thing is just a trivial annoyance for such a great software. Thanks & great job to all involved. Super program! :CONGRAT:

happycamper88, you can exclude the Right Click by pressing Ctrl key. Fantasic innovative software! Congratulations Stardock!
