Carbon Fibre GTV: WIP

Carbon Fibre GTV: WIP

2nd blind attempt

I began this new theme about 3 weeks ago.

I wanted to do a dark skin, but I didn't want to do glass. Glass can be over done. I wanted something more original. Also, I didn't want to do the black/blue combo. Though those colors look great together, once again, it can be over done.

Then I began to think back to when I first bought WindowBlinds... how I searched for a carbon fibre skin, and was left wanting...

When complete, this theme will also include ObjectDock backgrounds, a RightClick, and possibly a cursor (if I get the guts! :D )

Where are the clock hands on that screeny?

For some reason, my dx clocks rarely seem to have hands. This is a problem with many clocks, not just yours. I'm guessing it's something wrong with my settings. :S

Do you have the plugin?

Bilbo helped me figure out what to do. I put the plugin in the SDPlugins folder, then cleared my cache. It's all good! :)

What do you suggest?

What do you suggest?

Id either content margin the left side icons ^ up some.. or get rid of a % of the top of left panel.. just looks kinda dead on left > top.

also.. if I'm being honest Brian.. I'd try match up the gradients on the sides of left panel with the ones in the right click menus, their much softer (better)

just suggestions.. dont pay me no mind, I can babble on all night!  :D :X XD

Hmmm... Good idea about softening the gradients.

As far as the height of the start menu, I kinda like it that way. Messing with the content margins doesn't seem to make much difference. I personally don't want to alter the height of it, but I guess I could do a substyle with a shorter menu...

Whadaya think?

Upon further investigation, the gradient in the dark start menu is the exact same as the gradient in the right click menus--just that the right click menus are 95% opacity, and the left portion of the start menu is 100% opacity. Could still mess wit it, tho.
