2nd blind attempt

I began this new theme about 3 weeks ago.

I wanted to do a dark skin, but I didn't want to do glass. Glass can be over done. I wanted something more original. Also, I didn't want to do the black/blue combo. Though those colors look great together, once again, it can be over done.

Then I began to think back to when I first bought WindowBlinds... how I searched for a carbon fibre skin, and was left wanting...

When complete, this theme will also include ObjectDock backgrounds, a RightClick, and possibly a cursor (if I get the guts! :D )

Oh and guys....can't give ya time frame on the Winstep themes...these aren't like cranking out docks in a few minutes. :S Plus I have a few in the can already.  8|

Ok Guys!

 

Got yours Jim...but need more for a Winstep theme. Need little buttons....arrows...pretty much the kind of stuff you'd find in a WB skin. Otherwise it takes longer having to create them to match. And....gradients with textures is torture! Keep that in mind! ;)

 

Oh yeah....video card took a dirt nap this morning!  XO   Using a  old crappy one for now...off to bestbuy or Circuit city later today! X(

BTW- If you notice in the screeny above, my menus are supposed to have rounded corners, and are supposed to be nice and clean; and they are except for in Firefox 3. Can anyone shed some light as to why? What am I doing wrong?

You may have figured out this by now, but firefox borrows the background image from your favorites menu background if you have skinned it. If not it uses the normal menus. Open up IE7 and look at your fav menu. Does it look funky too? The favorites menu doesn't support transparency (i.e. if you have blank canvas around your menu background)

I know this isn't much help, but it explains the issue

Vista light substyle is 99% done. I just need to go through and double check some things... ;)

That probably means that the XP light substyle is about 90%. Dark substyles to follow.

Overall progress is probably around 80% complete!

Work's been absolutely killer. I think I can get this all done within the next couple of weeks.\o/

Been feverishly working on XP Light. All I have left with that is to tweak the start menu and draw the toolbar icons. Those icons are my favorite part. x_x

Nope. Just menus, buttons, and a few other miscellaneous things. Personally, I think the dark ss is a bit more sleek. Screeny coming soon... :)
