My bad, vanish
Damn dude the V and W keys are a world apart! (kidding)
That's not to say a certain Litestep theme configuration may be compatible with alternate docks, etc....but not all shell themes will be suitable
Absolutely Jafo! LiteStep is a full shell replacement meaning in certain circumstances, OS's, systems and themes, it could utilize most of your screen's video region that's demanded for all of the app's built-in components. Sorta like when you run a Desktop X Theme, your desktop icons goes bye-bye.
LS is really a nice looking and highly useful application. But as with most shell replacements, it's just prudent to run them alone at first.
If the LS theme you're running isn't loaded enough for your needs and some do come fully loaded, work your other apps needed to augment what you're missing in slowly to see how your system reacts.
If you get detrimental behavior, back off. There's more than one way to get stuff just the way you like it.
Personally I love the WinStep / NexStart shell, but it just doesn't act right on my XP box. My paltry 64MB on-board video card is too weak and the results are near catastrophic. But it flies at the speed of light on my Vista system.
I hope this helps a bit MindTooth, some of this stuff you have to flow with how your system reacts to it, kinda trial and error. And a major part of the end results of course are based on how your system's built.
Best of luck to ya!
