Create your own TV show, or what show would you like to be un-canceled?

Hey guys, how is everyone? Everyone has a show they like, but not every show we would like to see is on the airwaves. So, if you have a good idea for a show, or one you want back on, share it here.

Here are my ideas:

The first is Star Trek: Excalibur. It takes place between Enterprise and TOS, and is set in the Mirror Universe. (!)

Here's the set-up: It's been a few years since the events of "In a Mirror, Darkly," and the Terran Empire is in trouble. Dissidents are trying to depose Hoshi, who is going mad with power and introducing increasingly fascistic decrees and the Tholians and Gorn have joined the rebelion. However, the Empire has a secret weapon: the Excalibur, a new ship using the technology gained from the Defaint and the Empire's new allies, the Xindi. As the factions duke it out, the Suliban hatch a frightining plot, one that could destroy the Empire--and humanity--forever...

The next is Brothers in Hell.

Simple premise here: Think Band of Brothers in the Vietnam War.

Finally, I'd like to see Dogfights back on the air. I don't know why this was cancaled; it was the best show the History Chanel.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned Andromeda. It was an awesome show up until they fired the lead writer mid-season 2. He later released the script summarising how it would have ended and it was clear that he'd planned an intricate political and complex story. It just annoys me that the network thought it was too "intellectual" for the mass market and wanted more Dylan-focused episodes with one-offs and simple star-trek like stories (Not that I don't like Star Trek)being more important than having a universe as complex as something Tolkien or Frank Herbert could produce. The Star Trek Excalibur idea sounds cool too. Stories of backstabbing, betrayal and ambition would make a change from the more peace-loving federation setting of the other series.

I always wondered what happened to that show. It was pretty good until they changed it. I stopped watching after the 2nd season... now I know why.

Maybe someday TV execs will realize that Sci-Fi people are smart. We have to be... none of the books we read have the "for dummies" tag. Some I've read almost required me to take a particle physics class at the local community college before I could fully wrap my head around them. All of the good ones require the reader to think... Even a show like Firefly, that wasn't very deep at first blush turned out to have very complex story lines and characters.

Someday (maybe) the execs will learn... Even on this list there's 20 or so shows ruined or removed due to some higher ups so called "intelligence". Someday... I just won't be holding my breath for it.

Thanks for the info...

One show that I've always wished hadn't ended was Nowhere Man. I'm sure very few people know what that show even was, but I was freakin hooked on it,

That makes 2 of us. I was very hooked on it. I always felt it was the inspiration for The Pretender, which is one of the shows that gets my vote for uncancellation, along with Deadwood (I never felt that it finished properly), B5 and Journeyman. Also, there used to be a show called Davis Rules with Jonathan Winters and Randy Quaid. It was one of the funniest shows I ever watched, and it was gone after 2 seasons. Finally, if you're going to bring up Automan, then you also have to bring up Manimal. They did go together, after all.

Original Transformers!!!!
Original He-Man
Original TMNT

As opposed to the crap version that exist now where everything has been intermixed and lost it's direction.
The only universies that have ever combined well was the Alien and Predator ones - and then the 2nd Predator movie alludes to the fact they exist in each other's universe... There were some great books I read at school around this.

Funny how as every generation ages, they hate the animation of the current generation. The kids of the 70's said the same thing about Transformers, He-Man and TMNT. The kids of the 60's said the same about Superfriends, Scooby Doo and Space Ghost. The kids of the 50's said the same about The Pink Panther. The circle continues...

It's not that I hate the current stuff (e.g. Simpsons, Futurama etc...) - just that they have ruined the concept trying to mix and match gimicks to maximise toy sales - e.g. transforming Star Wars Characters etc...
