Welcome all! The Galactic Senate will be our new meeting room to decide on metaverse matters! This means that this is it's sole function...for now. This may change. This is not a slander thread like the Galactic Council one. There is no tolerance for profanity and swearing.
The leader of the senate will be voted upon once every 3 weeks! When the leader's term is up, he may be elected as many times as the voters want...unlimited! You may vote for yourself!
If the leader of the Senate does something inappropriate on this thread, then he will be immediately ousted and his throat will be slit with a razor. Then we'll rip his heart out and "The Legions of Darkness" (The Raiders special forces) will feast on it!
To be elected, one must have at least 12 the most votes! You may only vote for 1 person each ELECTION!
All issues must be brought to attention by either a senator or overlord of an empire! A citizen may bring up an issue, but it will not be voted on until a senator or overlord formally proposes it. To be considered a senator or overlord, you must have at least one other person in your empire besides yourself and you must have senator status!
That's all there is to say....now let's get started!

AMENDMENTS:
1. Anyone who is a senator in more than 1 empire counts as 2 votes but NOT 2 people! If you wish to be counted as a "Super" Senator, you must send me a PM telling me which empires you're a senator in.
2. The leader of the 1st place empire counts as 3 votes!
3. Free beer for all in attendance, but not to excess.
4. To pass anything, it must receive at least 12 6 votes, but if the nos outweigh the yeses, then it does not get passed.

NEXT ELECTION: Whenever I decide...but i'm a dictator, so i proably won't.

I'm a senator in the Tyranny of Evil and the Kzinti Empire. So my votes are as follows...

As a Tyrannt, I vote Yes to neilo's proposal that the Tyranny should rule this senate and threaten execution and evil possession of any who would defy this!

As a Kzinti, I vote No and further, use my veto powers to veto this ridiculous proposal. Any who support it shall be cut to shreds by my bare claws!

As the Patriarch of the Kzinti, I cast 4 votes for myself to be the leader of this Senate! That's 1 vote for being Emperor of the Kiznti, and 3 for my "other selves". Those voices can get damn annoying sometimes when they all talk at once...

Now we've got a real race. My campaign slogan is "An Iconian in every pot." Vote for me!  :CONGRAT:

If we are going by voices we hear in our heads then I should have about 25 votes. I don't always do what the voices tell me to though so I will have to find a way to hold votes on this council's issues in my head before I vote within this council.....I think.

And yes I vote for free beer too!! Corona's please. Now are we talking a case or what? And who is paying?

So...are you saying that those other people only get two votes? I can live with that. It's a good thing I'm a senator in two empires and a non-member in many more. I get two votes for each of them, right? :HOT:

If this is a serious attempt at a council for the MV then lets kick the dust of the Metaverse Council and replace any long gone players.

Ok, but as Emperor of the largest Empire, and an MVL Team captain, shouldnt I get at least 3 votes? I've got votes from two other people, so It looks like I'm the front-runner! ;)

Hmmmm...9 times 323 characters in the Kzinti Empire means 2907 votes. That seems like a clear majority to me. Thanks for pointing that out Adrian, I'll appoint you as my Minister of Election Rigging. :D

I hear you guys! I have 2 new amendments to propose!
1. Leader of the largest empire gets three votes
2. Free beer must be provided to all participants in the senate hearings, but not in excess!

Now 324 members...that would be 2916 votes!

I vote yes on both proposals, especially since PlayJeff so graciously (how uncharacteristic!) supported my candidacy. "Excess" is a relative term, and is the perception of each being, so I think everone should be happy with that.  :CONGRAT:

Now we're talking, First of all, I agree with Neilo that the MVC is pretty much gone and void. Somewhat replaced by the more functional MVL, which DSap, you should look into joining.
If this is going to have serious issuues, then I would fully support it and maybe put my lighter side on hold for a few moments.

maybe i'll join the MVL when TA becomes MV compatible.

P.S. I'm making an automatic amendment...no vote on this one (sorry but it's a must) I'm raising the amount of votes you need for something to get passed to 10 because 5's just stupid because of super senators!
