This takes the graphical aspect from Balknight's mod and merges it with Uzii's Sins Plus mod, keeping none of the gameplay changes except of the ones specific to new planet types that were created by Uzii and his compadres.

All the credit belongs to Uzii, Balknight, and those who were mentioned in Uzii's readme, i just compiled.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to pm me.

Thanks Balknight and Uzii.
Also thanks to LFFPicard for hosting my mod on mirror 2.
He has an unnamed sins project site coming up, which i believe will be dedicated to sins mods.

This Repack Includes the newest versions of both mods, as per March 31, 2008. Namely:
Balknight's Graphics Mod v1.2
Uzii's Sins Plus v1.3a + v1.04 Compatibility and Balance Changes

This mod does not attempt to change any gameplay mechanics. It plays just like the vanilla (1.04), but with new planets and greatly overhauled effects.

This mod has been compiled in the interest of multiplayer consistancy, so that people can meet online and play this exact mod together, without having to worry whether or not it will work.

Enjoy, Please :D

the sins v 1.00 did not have a mods folder because it did NOT support mods, BUT sins from v1.02 and later DOES

here is my standard advice for mod folder locating

assuming you have sins 1.191/entrenchment 1.051/diplomacy 1.01,  the Mods NEED to be placed here for xp

C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-v1.191
C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.051
C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Diplomacy v1.011

or here for vista/windows 7

C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-v1.191
C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.051
C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Diplomacy v1.011

NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder options', then 'view', then click on 'show hidden files& folders' then click ok, then you will be able to browse your want to the folder. I suggest when you find the folder that you create a shortcut to it on the desktop

NOTE 2 the 'user name' in the above paths is your WINDOWS login user name, eg Administrator

and if the mod you want to use is from an EARLIER sins/entrenchment version place the mod in the mods folder FOR THAT version eg mods-entrenchment v1.03, then download and run my mods updater from the latest version archive which will have the same number as the vanilla sins version number, and AFTER updating the mod(s) to the current version for any mods of pre 1.04 entrenchment ALSO run the manifest maker on ENTITY manifests on EACH of the mods EXCEPT for total conversion mods

for sins BEFORE 1.15 the path to the mods folder sa the same as above except for the last folder name in the path(s) above which is Mods, and also there were some changes to the texture files that happened with sins 1.10 that caused a LOT of work for the modders on various mods.

This mod is almost three years old. It will not work for any recent versions of Sins. Try going to the modding forum and find some mods that have actually been updated, their downloads will work.
