Cheesenium, i'm up and running. The begining screen is still atad off, but I can bring it up to the center. Craig was a very big help. I got into the tutiorals and that 's where i'll start today.
Looks nice and the music is great.
thanks for your concern. Wonder if I should print out the manual.

Could be because he's one of the game developers :P

Craig's one of the developers, so he knows what's up. :)

If you know something about computer monitors, you can probably change the window mode setting back to false, then find the appropriate resolution and refresh rate lines in that file, manually set them, and be off and going (I had to do this to get the exact resolution and refresh rate I wanted to be recognized by Sins).

...Or because I suggested it a few posts above (people have had the same issue with GC2 in the past when using odd refresh rates or certain displays). :p

For all practical purposes you're clumped with the devs :P So there!

Well I dunno who else to say thanks to but if i've failed a name or two, consider it done now. As a 66 year ole puter person, some of the inner workings of a computer game are beyond me. I needed some help, came to the "source" and I'm very grateful.
Now I can enjoy the demo and in time buy the game.
THANKS ALL
 :CONGRAT:

Haha, glad you enjoy the game.Sins probably gonna be my game of the year for 2008.It's freaking addictive and it feels good to have a large fleet. The battles feels epic and building an army never feels boring.

Oh ya,i just placed my pre-order for Sins at EB Games Aus just now.Sins is in Australia now.

Well, demo wouldn't work for me. But... I HAVE THE GAME! :D
Must say, it is truly an addictive masterpiece. I do keep getting thrashed by 3 easy comps, but I will learn. The game is fun, awesome, and... fun. And awesome. Did I mention fun? What about awesome? Must say, truly a great game. GOOD ONE! :)

Damn you Ironclad/Stardock!

I`ve never heard about Sins in the mainstream gaming media. One day I read about it on a forum and so I watched the game and waited patient for a demo.
Now I tried the demo...
This game is so freaking awesome... I can´t describe it... I really don´t know a time when I was so exited about a game like now I´m about of Sins.

So I played the demo.. builded a my fleet, vaporized some enemy planets and got ready for the final strike... then nooooooo! Demo time was over. :-(
So damn you Ironclad/stardock.

But I must be strong and wait for the european (german) retail release to put a sure sign to publishers that publishing games like sin will be rewarded.
