Unfortunately [or not] everyone has an ego....generally people will consider whatever they have done themselves to be superior to others'.  It's natural and I'm certain no-one is exempt from this.

Natas2 would be good to notice that most people CAN'T rate their downloads. That privilege is restricted to only PAID members, which I assume is a very small percentage of whatever is downloaded. And that's assuming that even all of the paid members vote when they download. I for one got so used to not being able to vote, I haven't even thought of it until now, as I just became a paid WC subscriber (in a moment of weakness, ).

I am a paid member (does that make me a payloader?) and downloaded and used the dock background. It was exactly how the artist described it in his two-word description.... black and simple.

If the artist wishes his audience to view his work as superior, it would be helpful if he didn't describe it as simple. Perhaps on his next upload, should there be one, he could describe his work to better reflect its true splendor so we may vote accordingly.

natas2, while your docks are good to say they are superior is going a bit to far. they are no better and no worse than any other submission by any other person. for you to think that your work is better is either extremely arrogant or very short sighted and devalues all the other people who submit docks to the gallery. hopefully you have learned something during this debarcle and won't be so pig headed in future.

Natas....Apparently you didn't venture to far into the Objectdock library...so to save you some time why don't you go check out these galleries... Mine ... Messiahs & Cavan1's ... Now...mind you they may not be as "superior" to yours since we've only been doing these for a few years now...if you indeed made that dock...but I'd venture to say they are pretty close to superior.

Ok...having said that and gotten it out of my system. First.....don't worry about ratings...I've had lots of docks with low ratings because not everyone takes the time to rate...but yet the downloads said otherwise. Second...If you did make that dock it doesn't look bad for a first submission...so lets see some more...and if the next few get any better I will personally give you a 5 rating on them across the board.

Well nata2, I am a paid member and download a lot of things...skins, docks, widgets, etc. and I might make a comment about how the screenshot looks, but the proof is in the using. Once I use an item and see how it works and looks on my system, then I go back and rate it. Why rate WHEN you download when the item might be total crap once you install it.

By the way, it's vain-glorious for you to call your own creation "highly superior". That would be for others to judge don't you think?!
