Then this apparently an issue with both IE6 and IE7. I still use IE6 at work but have switched to IE7 at home. Don't see medals in either case.

The admins know, because I was talking to Kryo about it, but he didnt say if they were actually going to try to fix the issues.

Iv'e been a user of FF since it was first released, i think the last IE i used was 5, but i do know that i have had far fewer problems on GC2.com than most, in fact since i changed to FF3 i have only had the "forums go boom" page once, plus the site as a whole tends to load much faster now. Sure it has it's slow days but it goes pretty quick.

Unless you guys are specifically against FF then give it a try, you can skin it to make it look just like IE7, if that's your thing, but it does seem the better of the two, at least where GC2 is concerned.

And no, i do not work for FF and was not paid for that spiel...i should be though, i'll tell anyone who will listen, and more than a few who don't that they should switch over to FF... ;p

I know both DA and myself have Mumbler's going, anyone else got an epic game under construction? A few big high scoring games will give us a nice buffer to the HCH, they do have some activity so we don't want to lose that new medal just as we finally got it....

I think it's funny they have that announcement message about FF3 not being supported, yet FF3 has been working better than any other browser here for quite a while.

FF3 was just released this week; however, FF2 generally works quite well overall.

Hmmm...I just got my new gaming computer online and installed FF3. (Also got my DA updated and registered. )

The site looks fine with it. I saw the login thing being stacked like a post said, but that's not even a hint of a distraction. Posting is the same as in FF2 (the smileys don't work unless you use advanced mode). I see no drawbacks so far.

The medals look nice. Especially that new 3rd place empire one. :HOT:

Well, if I'd been paying attention I would have moved my Corinthian character sooner - I was going to wait until we were really close to the HCH and have that character jump ship. Oh, well, late's better than never, and at least he looks the part even if all his games haven't been evil.

Nope . Maxthon uses the IE engine under the hood, so it is in the same boat as IE when it comes to the medals.

please be aware that not all web pages and applications are actually compatible with Firefox, esp since Microsoft and Mac still control what is out there in the computer market to begin with.

wait a second...Neilo, didn't you achieve Second Place in the MV, at least for a short time? I'm just wondering because I was sure before that once you had achieved one of the Top Three spots, even if you lost it later, you still retained the "Former" medal; but now the Third Place is showing for you. Which- if you never had 2nd place, makes sense, but I thought you had.

Unless....its very dynamic and as long as you're in the Top Three you show whatever medal that is. Once you are no longer in the Top Three, whatever highest rank you formerly achieved now appears in its place...ie when KP overtakes your spot in a few weeks, he will have the Third Place medallion and you will have a Former 2nd Place medallion.

Which, that all would make sense.

Sounds like an accurate prediction from the Oracle of Delphi. Unless Neilo bangs out a few more ZYWs at least, while trying to find the next medal. I feel pretty certain it's at 500 games. If I could add all my games together I'd have found out already.

I did have 2nd place, Mag is slightly ahead. As KP said though, one session of slamming those ZYW's out and i will have the Gold, i was only 12 games off Mumble as it was...Hmmmmm.

As for the Medal...either 500 or there broke. I'm not going to 500 to find out though.
