The one I was looking at for myself is also EVGA and $130.00, but it's at Frys in Austin.  I like being able to actually hold these things in my hand, read the box, etc.  Old school perhaps, but there's just something about having it physically in hand when deciding on a purchase.

If it's the same price, more power to you.

Those of us without a Fry's within 150 miles just have to make do.

Back in the Dark Times?

My latest game.  This one wasn't a mumbler.  It was the older style I played way back when with some refinements of later strategies.  We're getting a variety going now.

No econ event, but none needed.  In fact, I don't know what I would have done with one in this game.  I'll try to refine it further.

Thanks for that Snark. Now that I've been putting some time into TA though, I still haven't found cause to use them.  The implementation is so user unfriendly that it's just not worht it to mess with. There was a lot of complaints and suggestions during the beta to make them more useful, but SD just seemed intent on slapping together some of the 2.0 features they had announced and a ton of useful suggestions went by the wayside.

And now the extended meta downtime is starting to get people miffed. I hadn't personally planned on playing the meta during this time, but I still care about the interests of this empire. Some people that play exclusive meta are talking about possibly leaving the game and even hinting at requesting refund due to not being able to use what they consider a primary feature of the game.I know Kryo has done his best to keep us informed and I personally thank him for that, but i just don't want to see this go on too much longer and have it come back up to find a lot less people still waiting around to play. Maybe we need to email them a bug report of this enmasse to get the Devs attention that GC2 is still here.

I'm enjoying the break to be honest.  Not at first of course, but weaning off of an addiction can be like that.  There's a lot of stuff to be done and the weather is real nice right now. 

If I could just get off of these 12 hour shifts, everything would be peachy.

That's the one! You know, he still has not dropped a monster score on us yet. That's what really has me worried. The longer it takes, the bigger the score will be.

Of course KP has been strangely quiet also. Perhaps he is lurking in a nearby bush, twitching his tail and waiting for that perfect time to pounce!

Well to be honest it wasn't a taunt, it was the truth. Most people join the Kzinti just so they can get a first place medal without giving effort when they could have joined the wither the ToE or Geckodon Alliance and could have put some effort and could have earned it. IMO it's unfair that the ToE and Geckodons struggle to get new players while the Kzinti blossom with new players.
