For Gondacor!

This is my second AAR, and my first with DA. Since my first one went fairly well, I decieded to give it another go. Since this is the first installment, it is mainly background story, hopefully this one will turn our great. So for your reading enjoyment I present "For Gondacor!"
______________________________________________________________________________________

For Gondacor!
"A New Beginning"

The world was tearing itself apart, explosion after explosion rocked the cities of Gondacor, as powerful nuclear blasts set most the major cites of the planet ablaze. For many they believed it was the end, that the great apocalypse was upon them. All around them it seemed that the enemies were closing in, that the Gondacor Federation, was being pushed back by the Chelsyrian Alliance. For as long as anyone could remember the planet Gondacor had been split into two, the evil vile Chelsyrian Alliance on one side, and the noble Gondacor Federation on the other. Back and forth the two would quarrel, vying for dominance of the planet, until the great discovery. No one knew for sure what was actually found, but there were rumors that it was some kind of alien vessel, the problem was it was found on Federation soil.

The Chelsyrian Alliance, growing evermore suspicious of what was found, mounted an operation to steal the find, and were successful. The Gondacor Federation was outraged by the operation, but since they were concealing the find, they had no way to pressure the Alliance to return it. So the matter was brushed under the rug and forgotten for almost fifty years, but then the war began.

It was a sudden attack form the Chelsyrian Alliance, using nuclear warheads they struck major cities around the Gondacor Federation. They believed if they struck fast the Federation would fall, but that was not to be, and to the surprise of the Chelsyrians, the Federation struck back with equal furry. With the nuclear exchange, the world began to rip and tear itself apart, and when all seemed lost for the Federation, the Chelsyrians vanished, leaving no one behind.

Why and how the Chelsyrians vanished was the greatest mystery of the Gondacor people, but for now they were just happy they were gone. With their exit, the Gondacor Federation worked to rebuild their now destroyed world, and slowly Gondacor was rebuilt to its original splendor, only this time united under the Gondacor Federation. With the Gondacor united, the horrors of the war slowly faded into the past, and time slipped by, and the Gondacor people progressed. When nearly a thousand years had passed, few could recall the horrors of the Great War, for they were only stories now told to children, that had faded into myth.

It was the dawn of the year 2225, and the newly elected President Zocar, prepared to give his address to the Gondacor Federation people. President Zocar was a young Gondacorian, with strong idealist views, he was very intelligent, but very stubborn. Now after a hard fought election, he prepared to lead the Gondacor Federation to new heights.
"My fellow Gondacorians, today we are stronger than ever, and with me as your newly elected president I promise to make us even stronger! My hope is to bring stronger unity to our people, and help those that are still poverty stricken make it in our great Federation. I will be working with the Federation Council to push through some of my new initiatives to reform our education system, and overhaul our space agency. I thank you for your support, and I hope to represent you well! Thank You."

Little did President Zocar know, but his presidency was quickly going to turn into something he could not have anticipated. The day after his speech to the Federation, the fateful day came. It was a picture perfect day, the sky was a shallow cool blue, with just a few fluffy clouds passing by, a day no one would give a second thought about. Suddenly like lighting cutting the sky, a tremendous flame streaked across, darting towards the ground. With a deafening roar the objected collided with the ground, shaking the land for miles. The object had crashed into the middle of a farmers’ field, creating a huge crater were there had once been large fields of crops.

The object was tracked by the Gondacorian satellites, and the military was quick to respond. With the utmost speed the recovery team traveled out to the impact site, not knowing what they would find. To their surprise it was an intact vessel of some type, it appeared to have some damage but was remarkably in good shape. From what they could tell it, it was a space vehicle of some type, but they had no idea where it would have come from, so they sent it to the Gondacor Space Consortium. At the Consortium, the Gondacorian scientist studied the find with curious eyes, and quickly determined it was an alien vessel. The strange thing about it though, it didn’t appear to be finished, it seemed to be a prototype of some kind. After careful study, it was found that the ship was a prototype for a new engine, one that was capable of propelling a ship faster than light speed.

When word finally reached President Zocar of the discovery, he immediately saw this as a means to revamp the Gondacor Space Consortium. Zocar immediately ordered for the reverse engineering of the ship to study how the engines functioned, in order to make them useful for possible future Gondacorian ships. The scientist at the Consortium worked tirelessly around the clock, to figure that engine out, and after about a month of work they finally understood how it functioned. With the schematics the scientist and engineers drew out, it was now possible to reconstruct the engine, and put it to use for Gondacorian ships.

With plans ready to go, President Zocar quietly ordered for three ships to be constructed using the "Hyperdrive" engine, one a colony ship, another a survey ship, the GSS Gallant, and one a mining vessel. The construction proved difficult, but by the first of January, 2226, the vessels were completed. With the completing of the vessels, Zocar decided it was time to announce to the people of Gondacor of the great achievement, and of the new goals of exploration and colonization.
"People of Gondacor, this is a great day, for we have completed our first ships capable of traveling faster than the speed of light. With these new ships we will set out to explore and colonize the galaxy! For the first time in the history of Gondacor, people will set forth and spread throughout the galaxy."

With the conclusion of President Zocar’s speech, the first colony ship disembarked for the nearest planet in the Gondacor System, Alora. With the colonization of the first planet outside of Gondacor, the people now looked to the stars like they never before had.

Here's the second installment of "For Gondacor!" I hope you enjoy.

____________________________________________________________________________________

“Contact”

As the GSS Gallant left the Gondacor system, the crew prepared to test the new engines and head off to the nearest system to Gondacor, Devoa. There they found a beautiful blue world covered by oceans and vegetation, with puffy white clouds that reflected the bright Devoa sun, just waiting to be colonized. It was decided to call the planet Malacor, the ancient god of the Gondacor oceans, they then sent word of the discovery to the Federation Council. It was immediately decided to send a colony ship there and claim it for the Gondacor Federation. Malacor was classified as a class 8 by the Gondacorian scientist, who had devised a system to classify new found worlds, Gondacor was the base, set at a class 10. There was also another possibly habitable planet in the system, but it was toxic to Gondacorian people, and could not colonized.

With colonization plans now in place for a world outside the Gondacor system, there were celebrations and parties honoring the event, as the colony ship left Gondacor. As the celebrations continued across the planet, lead scientist of the Gondacor Hyperdrive Program, Telari Manganthis continued to work to determine the origin of the alien vessel. Form the studies that were done on it, the scientist believed that the vessel was a prototype, but form were is what Telari was determined to find out. The technology was not that too dissimilar from Gondacorian, so she decided that it must come from a civilization not that different from the Gondacor Federation. Telari decided that she must be on the next colony ship that was heading toward the newly discovered planet Remilia, since that was the calculated direction form which the ship came.

Then on the first of February, 2226, contact was made with an alien race. This was a moment of great jubilation for the Gondacor Federation, for the first time the people now knew they were not alone, for they were just one civilization in a galaxy possible crowded with civilizations. The GSS Gallant opened channels with the Kingdom of Paulos, and prepared for the first time use the universal translator that had for so long been worked on. At first it was difficult to understand, but the translator began to work, and the Paulos began to speak.
“We are the Paulos of the Kingdom of Paulos, how may we help you today?”
Captain Casior replied. “We are new to this area and you are the first alien species we have made contact with, we are interested in trade and diplomatic relations with you.”
“How wonderful, we are fairly new to interstellar relations also. We just learned the secrets of Hyperdrive from the Humans, did they also give it to you?” King Mormegil asked.
“No we developed it ourselves, but who are these humans you speak of? Are there many other civilizations out there?” Casior asked Mormegil.
“Many others, some kind, some not so kind. You look fairly familiar, are you sure you have not been around here before?”
“Like I said you are the first alien race we have met, may we always have good relations.” Casior replied.
“Yes, most definitely! Please send word to your leader that we would like to pursue relations with your people.” Mormegil said as he closed the communications channel.

When word reached President Zocar and the Federation Council of the meeting with the Kingdom of Paulos, they were ecstatic. Also the news was received well with the Gondacor people, who were still excited from the colonization of Malacor and Remilia. They were also looking forward to the many races the Paulos said were out there, especially the Humans, who President Zocar believed was probably the origin of the mysterious vessel.

With the close of February and the beginning of March, 2226, four more Gondacorian colonies had been established. They were Temir, Volona, Sidar, and Uvixos, all named after ancient deities from the Gondacor past. With the GSS Gallant continuing to find more and more habitable planets, colony ships were produced as fast as they could, so as to extend the reach of the Gondacor Federation as far as possible. For as many planets the GSS Gallant found, for everyone of them there was a planet, that maybe with the right technology could become habitable.

Like a nightmare coming true, the impossible happened! For what was believed to be myth, and old stories meant to scare children was coming true in front of President Zocar, and the Federation Council, it was the Chelsyria Alliance. Zocar’s jaw dropped to the floor when Empress Surrelia of the Chelsyrian Alliance demanded an audience with the leader of the Gondacor Federation. Through the view screen Zocar could see Empress Surrelia reclined back in her throne, and smirking with a lustful wrath, she was bound in a tight black body suit, and carried a metal weapon of some type on her side belt. She began to speak.
“So the stories are true, and you guys managed to survive that little nuclear holocaust a millennia ago, I guess we will have to rectify that little problem.” Empress Surrelia said in a loathing manner.
“I had no idea the stories were true, let alone that the Chelsyrian Alliance survived the great war, you guys just disappeared, and what do you mean you need to rectify a little problem.” President Zocar asked demandingly.
“Now Zocar, is it ok I call you Zocar?” Empress Surrelia said leaning forward in her armored throne. “There is no need to get all worked up, you give us too little credit. We left that pathetic planet of Gondacor a millennia ago, we didn’t want to live around you backwards pigs.” Surrelia gawked as she put her finger in her mouth.
“Now Empress Surrelia, our quarrels have been over for a millennia, lets not dig up old blood, can we not just move forward.” President Zocar said trying to remain composed.
“Old blood, hardly. These worlds that you have claimed as your own and have colonized, do in-fact belong to the Chelsyria Alliance, and we would be most happy if you got your pigs off of them.” Empress Surrelia said, with a grimacing smile.
“Never, we would never do that, we colonized them, they are ours, we are just going to have to learn to live together!” President Zocar barked at Empress Surrelia.
“Zocar! That is no way to talk to a lady of my power, you must learn your manners. Oh wait Gondacor pigs are not capable of learning manners. We will have to talk later when you are being more reasonable.” Empress Surrelia cockily said as she closed transmission.

“I can not believe the audacity of that Chelsyrian monster. She is no good, and her people are no good, they were evil a millennia ago, and still are today.” President Zocar belted at the Federation Council.
“We will just have to find a way to coexist with them and hopefully we will be able to make some progress with them.” Said Senator Joseti, head of the Federation Council.
“Lets hope something can be worked out, or we could already be on the eve of our first interstellar war!” President Zocar warned as he exited the Federation Council building.

By March 15 of 2226 two more colonies had been established, Cordelia and Tarentep, once again named after ancient deities. But with the discovery that the Chelsyrian Alliance still existed, the future suddenly took a turn for the bleak. It was decided though, that the colonization efforts would continue, and that the Gondacor Federation would continue to expand.

____________________________________________________________________________________

“New Threats”

After the disastrous encounter with the Chelsyrian Alliance, President Zocar hoped that future encounters with alien races would go much better. With the Chelsyrian Alliance now in the mix, and them more evil than ever, the galaxy was quickly turning into wild place. On the 22 of March 2226, the Gondacor Federation came into contact with the Acrean Empire, and Lord Vega asked to speak with President Zocar.
“How may we help you today Lord Vega of the Acrean Empire.” asked President Zocar.
“We would like to open up peaceful relations with the Gondacor Federation, I believe there is much that can be learned from each other.” Lord Vega kindly suggested.
“I agree, peaceful relations are in the interest of both our countries. We look forward to working with you.” Zocar replied.
“We will be in touch later, thank you for your kindness.” Lord Vega said as transmission was ceased.

Meanwhile back on the Gondacor colony Remilia, researcher Telari Manganthis continued to pursue her work on the vessel that crash landed back on Gondacor. She was deeply disturbed by the discovery that the Chelsyrian Alliance was real, and not myth as commonly believed, so she began to go through the old stories. While going through old documents and files on the computer database, from around the time of the supposed exodus of the Chelsyrians from Gondacor, she came across an old Federation document explaining about some strange object that was found in the province of Hitarisis. The document didn’t tell her much, most of the documents and records from that time did not survive the Great War, but it was a start. Telari was growing curious as to how, if it is true, the Chelsyrians managed to leave Gondacor and establish themselves on the planet Chelsyria. Had a ship crash landed on Gondacor a thousand years ago? She had to find out, so it was back to Gondacor, and to the province of Hitarisis to see if she could dig up more information.

Back on Chelsyria, Empress Surrelia was in a mad rage and disgusted with the fact that the Gondacorians were claiming worlds left and right, something must be done. She was in such a rage that she whipped twice as many servants as she usually did around her dinner time. She called in her prime advisor Loke.
“Loke those peace loving Gondacorian pigs are ruining my day! It disgusts me that there is the even remote possibility that we both originated on the same planet, so make sure my adoring masses know this.”
Loke graciously replied. “Quite certainly my Empress, your adoring masses shall be told, is there anything you need of me?”
“Your niceness sickens me, get a backbone! Now also tell them that the Gondacorians are nothing more than pigs, they are weak and inferior.”
“Of course my Empress, it will be done right away.” Loke quickly responded.
“Oh before I forget send in my Chief General of my military, he and I have some catching up to do… on our offensive strategies.” Empress Surrelia said stretching out across her throne. “Also make sure to send in my tailor my suit is not quite tight enough, I need to look my best!” Surrelia said outstretching and grasping her leg.
“Immediately my Empress!” Loke said scurrying out of the room.
“My servants are not quite what they used to be.” Surrelia thought to herself. “Maybe a few more whippings are in order, or best yet some amputations!” Surrelia thought growing more excited, and cackling to herself. “This will be fun!”

On April first 2226, President Zocar was notified that a new colony had been established on the planet Natar, and then on the 8th of April contact was made with the Krynn Consulate.

“I am Ynrhed Eidden of the Krynn Consulate, and I welcome you to our humble empire, of how may we be of service to you?”
“Greetings Ynrhed Eidden, I am President Zocar of the Gondacor Federation, and it is an honor to meet you. We are a new to the galactic scene, and are eager to meet new races.” Zocar pleasantly said.
“We have been around for awhile, hopefully the galaxy is a big enough place for the both of us.” Said the Ynrhed Eidden.
“I as well, and we will look forward to continued relations with you and your people.” Zocar said as he ended transmission. After contact was made with the Krynn, contact was then made with the Altarians, who seemed to be a peace loving people, maybe almost too nice.

Then in mid July the threats from the Chelsyrian Alliance started coming in. President Zocar was in his office when the message came in.
“You nasty inferior pigs, your civilization is too poor to pay us enough to allow you to continue to exist. The Chelsyrian Alliance demands that you hand over some of your technology. If you fulfill my small request, I will let you live for now.” Empress Surrelia said laying back in her throne cackling.
“Oh, I think not, we would never give into the demands of a deranged empress, especially that of the Chelsyrian Alliance.” Zocar yelled back.
“And there I was thinking you might have some manners, I guess that was wishful thinking. It doesn’t matter we will just take what we want when the time is right. Empress Surrelia said annoyed with Zocar.
“Sure, when we cross that road, I’m sure you’ll let me know.” President Zocar said as he shut off transmission. “God! I hate that Surrelia, she’s no good and power hungry, not a good combination.”

With the possible growing threat from the Chelsyrian Alliance, Zocar decided it was time to seek the advise of the Federation Council.
“There seems to be a growing threat from the Chelsyrian Alliance, I’m curious as to what everyone on the Council believes should be done.”
Senator Joseti was first to respond. “We must tread carefully, it the ancient stories are true, they once tried to destroy us. Because of this we must assume they wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.”
“Agreed.” Responded the rest of the Council.
“Maybe what is needed is a military fleet of ships, something to defend ourselves incase of an attack from the Chelsyrians.” President Zocar suggested.
“That would be a good start, the Council approves this measure to create a military fleet President Zocar.” Joseti said.
“Great, we will start design plans immediately, but first we need to find out what kind of ships, if any, the Chelsyrians are building, so we can counter them.” President Zocar said before exiting the Council Chambers.

With the approval of a new military fleet, plans were put into place to construct the new ships, but first they had to determine what type of ships the Chelsyrians were constructing. Once found out the plans could progress.

Interesting very interesting will history repeat itself, and the Gondacor and Chelsyrian Alliance end up in a war??

I think so

After contact was made with the Krynn, contact was then made with the Altarians, who seemed to be a peace loving people, maybe almost too nice.

I agree like this part very much too

Here is the fourth installment, things are beginning to heat up across the galaxy as powers grow restless. I hope you enjoy!

“Evil Unites”

The first ships the Gondacorians built was the GSS Tigria and the GSS Dracor, there were not that powerful, but could probably get the job done if the need arises. By November of 2226 most the habitable planets were colonized, the exceptions were some the toxic and radioactive worlds, but even those were made useful someway or another. As the colonizing subsided, the tensions between empires slowly began to simmer.

Then on the first of December the galaxy grew much more dark, for contact was made with the Korath Clan.
“I demand an audience with your leader! Krindar I’Agohl of the Korath Clan demanded.
“This is President Zocar of the Gondacor Federation, of how can we be of help to you?” Zocar politely asked.
“Great another pesky good civilization to annex, do you guys ever stop coming out of the woodwork?” Krindar I’Agohl gloatingly said.
President Zocar turned to his advisor sitting next to him. “Is the Universal Translator working?
“Working properly” he replied.
“Krindar I’Agohl there is no reason we can’t work past our differences and find common ground to work together. We would do nothing to ever harm you, but beware if you threaten us you will face the full force of the Gondacor fleets.” President Zocar said firmly.
“Hahaha! You’re killing me, you threaten to send your little fleet of gnat ships against the Korath battle ships, you wouldn’t even make it to the battlefield. I don’t have time to deal with you worthless beings, go crawl back to your home world where you belong.” Krindar I’Agohl said threatening.
“You know what, I have had enough with the antagonistic races, you all do nothing but cause destruction and maleficence, you should be the one crawling back to their home world!” President Zocar countered.
“I have never been more insulted in all my life, you better believe that you will be the first civilization were annex, and we will slaughter everyone of you!” Krindar I’Agohl said steaming.
“Just come over here and try, you wouldn’t make it past our border your ships are so rickety!” President Zocar said loosing his patience.
“You know what, I think I am done talking to you. You and the rest of the Gondacorians are nothing more than slime!” Krindar I’Agohl screamed as he shut off communication.
“I can’t stand this guy, not only do we have to deal with the sadistic Chelysrians, but now we have to put up with the malevolent Korath!” President Zocar said out loud.
“I think you handled the situation quite well, I think they got your message.” Council member Joseti said.
“Lets hope they got the message.” Zocar said hopingly.

Meanwhile back on Chelsyria, Empress Surrelia was of course listening in on the exchange between President Zocar and Krindar I’Agohl. Empress Surrelia turned to Loke.
“Didn’t I tell you Krindar I’Agohl is wonderful! Maybe if we could get together, we could lay waste to those pathetic Gondacorian pigs! Empress Surrelia said barely containing her enthusiasm for the idea.
“Yes Empress Surrelia, that is an excellent idea!” Loke quickly replied.
“Did I tell you to talk! That will be ten more whippings, and you better enjoy it! Empress Surrelia shot back.
“Yes my Empress, I will thoroughly enjoy them.” Loke grudgingly said.
“That’s my Loke. Now where was I? Oh yes, our plans to conquer the righteous pigs. I noticed lately some ship construction in Gondacor Federation space, do we obtain any info on them Loke?” Empress Surrelia demanded.
“Yes my Empress, we do know some things about them. The Gondacorian ships are about equal in strength to ours, but ours outnumber theirs.” Loke proudly said.\
“That is unacceptable! Our ships have to be better than theirs! Where’s my whip!” Empress Surrelia in a rage said.
“It is next to your knife collection.” Loke said pointing to the knife table.
“Oh yes, I forgot I put it there! Lean over Loke, I need to relieve some stress! Empress Surrelia said feeling the need to vent.
“Yes my Empress.” Loke sighed.
SMACK, SMACK, SMACK, the whip cracked across Loke’s back.
“I feel better now, didn’t you enjoy that Loke?’ Surrelia said with a smile across her face.
“Of course my Empress I enjoyed it with all my being.” Loke said pretending to be enthusiastic.

Then on the eighth of December contact was made with the Drengin Empire, and relations opened up about the same as they had with the Korath, disastrous. By the 22 of December war broke out! The Chelsyrian Alliance and the Korath Clan, growing evermore power hungry declared war together on a weak empire, the Krynn Consulate. Word of the war reached President Zocar immediately.
“What do we know of what’s going on?” Zocar asked his military advisors.
“Well from what we can tell, and from what our listening post have picked up is that the Korath and the Chelsyrian fleets are amassing along their borders, and it will not be too long before they move in.” Head Commander Tarsus said.
“How does the Krynn fleet stack up against the Chelsyrians and the Korath’s fleets? Zocar asked wanting more information.
“That’s the problem, the Krynn have no military fleets, at least we don’t know of any.” Tarsus informed Zocar.
“Is there anything we can do to help? Can we send some supplies, maybe a few ships?” President Zocar suggested.
“It might be a good idea to send some money or some supplies, but it would be a bad idea to send ships. We have barely enough ships as it is, and we do not want to be found out for that.” Tarsus said.
“Yeah you are right, we will send them some money, but no ships.” President Zocar ordered.

By February of 2227, the Korath and the Chelysrians were beginning to get the upper hand, with planets beginning to fall to their forces. Things across the galaxy continued to progress, the multiple races continued their threats amongst each other, but nothing much came from them. Through June of 2227 the war between the Krynn and the Chelsyrian and Korath continued on, keeping them preoccupied while the Gondacor Federation built up it’s military. The newest design that the Gondacorians came out with in June of 2227 was the GSS Malacor, it was designed to keep up with the growing Chelsyrian fleets. Also by June of 2227, the Chelsyrian Alliance had amassed the largest military in the galaxy, and its’ full force was bearing down on the Krynn Consulate.

“Revelations”

Back on Gondacor Telari Manganthis began her search for answers to the questions that had been bothering her. Arriving in the province of Hitarisis she found a lightly populated farming region, a people bound to the land in which they lived. Her first goal was to try to determine the location of the crash site a millennia ago, so Telari began the arduous work of finding answers. She poured over old documents stored in government archives from the time period, but the searches kept turning up nothing. Growing weary of the document searches, she began to think to herself.
“Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place? I know not much survived the war so long ago, but there must be answers somewhere, it could not of just all disappeared.”
She turned and looked out the window of the Archival Center, and looked out across the endless green fields. She watched the farmers tending to their fields, and going about their daily routine. The Hitarisis plains were one of the best farming areas in all the quadrant, and were one of the most temperate areas on Gondacor. Then it hit her!
“I am so dumb! The answers that I have been seeking, have been right in front of me! If something that big happened it would have had a strong effect one the local population, and who knows what the effect has been through the millennia.”

After her revelation, she went back to the computer consol, and began looking up information on the culture of the people of the Hitarisis plains. She found out that the people of the area were deeply rooted into their religion, which revolved around the Gondacorian sun. What surprised her the most was some of the text in the Pi’Tar, the religious text of the Hitarisis Plains people, and what some of the stories told about. In one story in the Pi’Tar, The Ruination, there was an account of the end of the world. Through greatly embellished, Telari knew the story was probably originated from the nuclear holocaust a millennia ago. As she read on the story went on to tell how on a perfect day on the second solar cycle, the heavens parted and God descended on to Gondacor and brought across the planet the ruination of the world. The people of Gondacor had for too long been greedy and vile, and the time of cleansing had come. Shortly after the fire came raining down across Gondacor vaporizing cites and wiping out most the planet. After the rain of fire, the long winter ensued, and only those that had be righteous were spared.

Telari realized that The Ruination was describing the effects of a nuclear war.
“Of course, this is an account of the Great War, but what was the cause? I know that if what the Chelsyrian Alliance claims, that they originated from Gondacor, and started a nuclear war before disappearing, they must know of what was the cause of the war. Something had to have been found, like the alien vessel we found almost two years ago, that could be the God that descended down to Gondacor in the Pi’Tar. Telari contemplated to herself.

The picture that began to be painted in Telari Manganthis’s mind, became more and more disturbing. She pictured Gondacor, at a time when the people were progressing at fantastic rate, and the world had untied into two factions, the Gondacor Federation and the Chelsyrian Alliance. The two factions, in Telari’s mind, probably slowly grew apart in their ideology and intentions. Then something happened that set off the ever growing tensions, which caused a global nuclear war, and ended when the Chelsyrians left.
Telari thought to herself, “Could an alien ship have crashed all those years ago? That is the only explanation I can think of, how else could the Chelsyrians of left Gondacor? I think the only place I can find that answer is to go to the Chelsyrian home world, Chelsyria, but that would be easier said than done.”

With a war going on along the borders of the Gondacor Federation, President Zocar went to Orbital City 2652 for a military conference on the escalating tensions. He was to meet with Head Commander Tarsus to discuss the growing possibility of a war with the Chelsyrian Alliance and the Korath Clan.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

President Zocar began, “What are our options to counter the growing threat from the Chelsyrian Alliance? We need an effective strategy now, because the Chelsyrians are building ships left and right, and outnumber us.”
“We need to increase funding for ship construction immediately if are to remain able to counter an attack from the Chelsyrian Alliance. Empress Surrelia is no fool, she can smell a weakness from across the other side of the galaxy, so we can not let her see us with any kind of weakness.” Tarsus sternly said.
“I know, I know. Empress Surrelia is a power hungry warmonger, and she we love to she us gone from this side of the galaxy.” President Zocar grudgingly admitted.

As Zocar contemplated his options he stared out across the vastness of space, then looked down to Gondacor below and wondered what was becoming of his peaceful world. With the growing hostilities across the galaxy, Zocar wondered how long the world he loved so much would remain untouched by the ravages of war. Looking down he could see beautiful vast blue oceans, and the city lights growing brighter as the planet rotated into the dark. Zocar let his mind drift, like the Orbital City drifted around Gondacor. “I can never let Gondacor fall to the evil of the galaxy, this oasis of peace must be preserved at all cost, it would be the end of all Gondacorians if Gondacor burnt once more. Gondacor is the home of all Gondacorians and possibly Chelsyrians, they must be made to understand this, this may be the only thing that can bring our two peoples closer together.”

President Zocar turned to Commander Tarsus, “I am not ready to give up on peace. I will not and can not let my people suffer a costly war, which would surly cause billions upon billions of casualties.”
“If we do not do something, the Gondacorian people may suffer anyway, as soon as the Chelsyrians finish off with the Krynn we will surly be next.” Commander Tarsus pleaded.
“I am just not ready to give up on our diplomatic options, there is still more we can do. I was thinking maybe we should engage the Drengin Empire and build better relations with them. They are evil, but the better of the three evil empires, and I am sure they are weary of the growing power of the Korath Clan and the Chelsyrian Alliance.” President Zocar suggested.
“You may be right, but that will be easier said than done!”
“I know, so for now you have your money, but we are not giving up quite yet on a diplomatic solution. The military option should be our last resort.” Replied Zocar.
“Understood, and thank you.” Tarsus said.

With President Zocar now alone in the conference room, he again looked out across Gondacor below. He watched the shuttles leaving the planet’s surface and docking with the Orbital City, and watched the transports speeding off to other planets in the Federation. “I do all in my power to protect this world and its’ colonies from the ravages of war.” Zocar concluded in his thoughts.

With the beginning of October of 2227, the Krynn Consulate continued their fight with the Korath and the Chelsyrian, and were continuing to hold out. Aid from the Gondacor Federation was helping to keep the Krynn Consulate alive, and fighting the Federation enemies.

“Small Steps”

“Loke! Where the hell are you?!” Empress Surrelia screamed.
“Coming my empress, of how may I be of service to you today?” Loke politely offered.
“What did I say about being soft, I hate softness, and I am beginning despise you!” Empress Surrelia nagged at Loke.
“Of Course my Empress, I will do my best to continue to please you and meet your satisfaction,” Loke said looking down toward the floor.
Empress Surrelia got up from her throne, and began to pace around her royal chamber, then moved to the nearest window.
“Loke, what is the status of our fleets moving into Krynn space? “
“They are moving in to intercept the enemy, and the transports are not that far behind,” replied Loke.
“Good, make sure that they leave no survivors, I don’t want to have to mess with an ugly occupation. They must all die!” Empress Surrelia Screeched.
“Yes my Empress, they will be informed. Is there anything else I can do for you?”
“No, just go away!” barked Empress Surrelia.

Empress Surrelia continued to look out the window and stared out to the great ship yards of Chelsyria. She thought to herself.
“Yes, my fleets are amassing, soon they we bring terror across the galaxy! With these great ships, no enemy will be able to stand up to the power of the Chelsyrian Alliance, and all the fools who dare try, will be dealt with swiftly and wiped from existence.”
Surrelia then moved from the window, and walked over to her throne and sat down in it. “From this throne I shall rule the galaxy! But, there is still one annoying thorn in my side, The Gondacor Federation. I can not let them live, they are atrocious and despicable, I can’t even stand to look at them. I must get rid of them before they come to much of a pain.” Empress Surrelia thought to her, and cackling out loud of her genius.

Back on Gondacor President Zocar received a message from Head Commander Tarsus.
“President Zocar, we have received word from the Chelysrian border that Chelysrian fleets are beginning to amass there, what would have me do?”
President Zocar responded, “How many fleets are moving to the border, do you think they would try an offensive against us while fighting the Krynn?”
“We can’t tell how many yet, but we have noticed several moving there. In my opinion Empress Surrelia is crazy enough to try something like this, she has always had malevolent feelings towards us.” Tarsus answered.
“I agree, but before we take any kind of action I am going to contact Empress Surrelia, and demand answers. If she has any kind of honor, she should at least imply what she thinks she is doing. If it goes badly, standby Commander Tarsus.” President Zocar reluctantly said, grasping his desk.
“I understand, I will standby,” replied Tarsus.

With President Zocar’s mind made up he decided to contact Empress Surrelia to demand answers. Zocar put in a request for communications with Empress Surrelia of the Chelsyrian Alliance, while he waited for acceptance he paced back and forth across the room. Within a few moments communication was opened, and Empress Surrelia’s face shown across the view screen.
“What is your reason for bothering me! You know how I can’t stand your hideous face.”
“Empress Surrelia can you just be civil for awhile! I demand to know why you have moved fleets to our border, you have no right to threaten our sovereignty!” President Zocar sternly said.
“I can see you still have no manners, you ghastly pig of a leader! I am surprised that you little Federation has managed to survive this long! As for my ships, they are there to stop all the criminals that inhabit your space from getting over here, if must know. Seeing that you are unable to control your own borders, we are doing it for you!” Empress Surrelia gloatingly replied moving her hand through her hair.
“You have no right to move along our border, and I can tell you there are no criminals in our space. If you want to find criminals just look around your planets, you are infested with them!” Zocar shot back.
“I have never been more insulted in my life, you are pathetic, and it would bring me so much pleasure to smear your face in your precious Gondacorian soil! What we are up to is no business of the Gondacor Federation, and I advise you to keep a distance from us!” Empress Surrelia screamed at President Zocar growing evermore furious.
“IT IS our business, and we will continue to inquire when you violate our space, and we would appreciate it if you stayed on your side the border! We will not tolerate anymore intrusions into our space!” In a rage Zocar shouted.
“If that’s the way you want to handle this, FINE! But, be warned that you are aggravating the Empress of a mighty Empire, that could crush you like a bug at a moments whim. I advise to tread carefully, and stay out of our way till you learn some respect!” Empress Surrelia shouted back getting the last word in before transmission was ceased.

President Zocar again began pacing around his office, fuming with anger at Empress Surrelia, as he tried to sort our the situation in his head.
“That Empress Surrelia, the scum of the galaxy, something must be done about her. If she carries on the way she has the last few months, there will be nothing left of the galaxy! Surrelia and her genocidal ally Krindar I’ Agohl must been destroyed before it is too late for the free people of the galaxy. If we do not begin to stand up against such Malevolence, who will? We may find ourselves alone in a sea of evil as one by one the righteous states of this galaxy fall to the forces of evil. I can not let this happen, this will not happen on my watch!” With Zocar’s mind now made up, he went to the Federation Council to plan action.

President Zocar entered the Council chambers, and began to discuss his plan with the rest of the Council.
“The time is now for action, we must act now to save the free righteous people of this galaxy! If we lay around idle, one by one they will be swallowed up, and we may find ourselves alone against the evil that threatens our sovereignty! I move to increase the size of our fleet and move them to our border with the Chelsyrian Alliance, to prepare for a strike on their worlds. Does the Federation Council approve?”
Senator Joseti answered for the Council, “We agree that action must be taken, and we will approve of the increase in fleet numbers, BUT war? I don’t know if you know what you are asking us to do, it would mean the deaths of countless billions of Gondacorian citizens, and do not want that kind of blood on my hands!”
“If action is not taken, the blood of all Gondacorian citizens will be on your hands for not taking action when we still could! You fail to grasp the situation we are in, the free peoples of this galaxy are being exterminated by the evil which is spreading like a cancer across the galaxy! You can not tell me that you approve of this, if you do not allow for action, the Council is no better than the evil that threatens us!” President Zocar demanded, not wanting to budge on the matter.
“We do approve of the fleet increases, we just don’t think the time is right for a military conflict with the Chelsyrians or Korath. Once the fleet increase have been made, we will reconsider our military options, until then, you need to continue diplomatic options.” Senator Joseti, trying to be reasonable replied.
“I will come back once the new fleets are created, but if you do not approve of military action, the blood of our people are on YOUR hands!” President Zocar, infuriated, said as he left the Federation Council chambers.

Enraged by the Councils failure to act on growing threats from the vile races of the galaxy, President Zocar contacted Head Commander Tarsus.
“Commander Tarsus here, how may I be of service to you President Zocar?”
“I need you to draw up plans for a strike against the Chelysrian Alliance. Since currently their forces outnumber ours, we need a plan that can take them by surprise to maximize our advantage. Do you believe it can be done?” President Zocar asked of Tarsus.
“Yes, I believe that it can be done, but we would need more ships.” Tarsus answered
“That is currently being taken care of. The attack needs to disable their ability to invade Krynn worlds and ours, and needs to be swift.”
“With more ships this can be done. Have we been granted permission for military action?” Commander Tarsus asked.
“No not yet, but I want to be ready to go when we get approval.”
“Understood, the plans will be drawn up, and on your desk soon.”
“Thanks Commander Tarsus.” Zocar said as he closed transmission.
With communication closed, Zocar laid back in his chair, and looked out his office window to the capital plaza below. He thought to himself.
“I will save this planet, and all righteous people of the galaxy one way or another.”

In orbit around Gondacor, Telari Manganthis’s transport docked with the Orbital City where she hoped to find a transport to Chelsyria. But, not surprisingly, there were no ships heading for Chelsyria, so she began to look around for a possible solution. She looked all across the station, but there were no shuttles or transports heading anywhere near Chelysrian space, so she decided to try something different, she headed over to a computer consol.
“Computer, can you tell me if there are any shuttles or transports heading to Chelsyria in the next week?”
The Computer replied, “sorry but there are no shuttles or transports heading for Chelsyria anytime soon. All transports to Chelsyrian space have been restricted.”
“Are there any other options to get to Chelsyrian space?” Telari asked.
The Computer again replied, “There is a freighter leaving this station at fourteen hundred hours heading for Acrea, if you take that, there are scheduled transports from Acrea to Chelsyria.”
“Yes, that’s what I need!” Telari shouted at the computer consol.

With a route to Chelsyria found, Telari Manganthis boarded the freighter to Acrea, pretending to be a tourist trying to find a quick route to Acrea.

The seventh installment of "For Gondacor!"

“The Drums of War”

Back on Gondacor, tensions between the Chelsyrian Alliance and the Gondacor Federation were taking a turn for the worse. Threats between the two began to be thrown back and forth at an unyielding rate, the Chelsyrians would demand money for frivolous claims, then the Gondacorians would reject. Then on the eighth of November 2227, the Chelsyrian Alliance signed a peace treaty with the Krynn Consulate, ending hostilities between them. The signing of the peace treaty, caused great alarm throughout the Gondacor Federation Council, they now worried that the way was now open for a war between Gondacor and Chelsyria.

With war looming, the Federation Council asked for an audience with President Zocar. Senator Joseti began.
“President Zocar, we, the Federation Council, have grown alarmed at the growing tension between the Chelsyrian Alliance and the Gondacor Federation. Now with the peace treaty between the Krynn Consulate and the Chelsyrian Alliance, we feel that confrontation between the Gondacor and Chelsyria is imminent. We feel that we should move all fleets to areas most vulnerable to attacks form the Chelsyrian fleets. Also we feel that there is a need to construct a new capital ship to more quickly counter the growing Chelsyrian fleets.”
President Zocar responded, “I agree, war does indeed seem imminent. I have been conferring with Head Commander Tarsus, and he is currently drawing up plans for a strike against the Chelsyrian Alliance. He believes if we quickly move against key worlds under Chelsyrian control, we could inhibit their ability to wage war against our border worlds.”
“That would be the best possible kind of strike we could hope for. We need to use our limited amount of fleets to our advantage, and keep the war in Chelsyrian space to limit Gondacorian causalities.” Senator Joseti said agreeing with Zocar’s plan.
“As soon as Commander Tarsus finishes drawing up the plans to strike the Chelsyrian Alliance, I will notify the Council immediately.” President Zocar said leaving the Council chambers.

After returning to his office from the Federation Council, he contacted Commander Tarsus to discuss the plans for the campaign against the Chelsyrian Alliance.
“Commander Tarsus, what is the status of the plans against the Chelsyrian Alliance?”
Commander Tarsus replied, “The plans are progressing along fine, and I hope to have all the logistics of the attack straightened out within the next few weeks.”
“Sounds good! The Council is beginning to understand the need for military action against the Chelsyrians. They have grown more fearful on an attack since the signing of the peace treaty between Chelsyria and Kryseth.” Zocar gladly said to Tarsus.
“At least the Council is finally beginning to see eye to eye with us. We have been anticipating this impending conflict for a few months now.” Tarsus proudly said.
“Yes, I know. Another thing is where do you anticipate our strike will originate from? President Zocar asked Tarsus.
“Well, we have moved most of our fleets to the Chelsyrian border, near Hoth and Rathra, in sectors 05-09 and 06-09. We hope from here we can strike their border worlds near us, which would be Gabe I, IV, V, and Aquilae II, all in sector 05-08. My general tell me that a strike in this area would open up a window for ships to quickly move to Chelsyria.” Commander Tarsus reported to President Zocar.

“I like the plan, report to me when you have finished polishing the plan. The sooner we can get everything sorted out, we can strike the Chelsyrian Alliance, and rid the galaxy of reckless evil!” Zocar ordered Tarsus, and then shut off transmission.

After discussing the war plans with Commander Tarsus, a report came in from the Krynn about the atrocities the Chelsyrians had committed, and the Korath are continuing to commit. Zocar was deeply troubled by what he read, from what the Krynn could tell, the Chelsyrians had slaughtered roughly five Billion Krynn citizens. But the worst was what the Korath were doing, they were committing genocide on a grand scale, one the likes the galaxy had never witnessed. From what the Krynn could gather, once a Korath ship would enter orbit around a planet, all communication with the planet would be lost, and the population would be quickly wiped out. The Korath were moving from planet to planet wiping out the total population of the planet and making the world barren. The information was deeply disturbing to President Zocar, and served to reinforce his commitment to wiping out the evil empires galaxy.

On the 15 of December, 2227 the freighter that Telari Manganthis was taking to Acrea finally arrived, where she meet up with the transport that was heading to Chelsyria from Acrea. On the 22 of January, 2228 her transport docked with the orbital station, Tortu Cor, around the Chelsyrian home world Chelsyria. Realizing earlier that Gondacorians were unwelcome and shot if found in Chelsyrian space, Telari had obtained some fairly convincing holo-disguises that would make her look more Chelsyrian. She knew she had to be very discreet, for if she were found out, she could not even fathom what would become of her. But, she knew the risks were worth the danger, for the truth had to be found out, and the secrets the Chelsyrians might hold revealed.

Telari, right after exiting the Acrean transport, sought out the nearest information panel she could find on the station. The stench of the station was almost nauseating, and she could barely stand the sights of the poor half whipped workers tending to the station. She continued down the long corridors of the dismal Tortu Cor station, the deep red and orange lights made it difficult for Telari to make out exactly where she was going, but she finally came across what appeared to be a computer consol. Using her translator, she began to go through menus on the screen, and after some time she finally accessed information on centers of learning and repositories of documents. Not to her surprise, there were no libraries on the planet, the Chelsyrians could care less about books and the arts, besides the arts of war. There was one place in the capital city, Chelsyria Prime, where some documents were kept, the Chelsyrian Hall of Records, it was also a museum of sorts towards Chelsyrian military achievement.
With a place to start found, Telari now had to find transport down to the surface of the planet. She pulled up the transport schedule on the information consol, and looked through to find a transport heading down to Chelsyria Prime. When Telari found one, she began to make her way down the winding corridors of Tortu Cor to the space docks on the lower levels of the station. The corridors twisted and turned in every direction, as if laid out at random, and done so on purpose to confuse anyone going through them. The flashing red and orange lights were also very disorienting, and only served to give Telari headaches. After what seemed like an hour, Telari finally found her way to the space docks, where she was to disembark for the capital city, and hopefully find the answers she sought.

Meanwhile on Chelsyria, in the Empress’s sprawling royal palace, Surrelia was once again worked up into a irate rage. She was throwing daggers into doors, and was screaming with rage at the news she had just found out.
“LOKE! Get the hell in here!” Empress Surrelia screeched at the top of her lungs.
“My Empress, what seems to be the trouble?” Loke said in a nervous tone.
“Our listening post have just picked up what appears to be Gondacorian plans for an invasion of Chelsyria! What do those ignorant pigs think they are doing? If they want to play war, we can do the same. Loke, get me my Chief General of the Military, Songore. There is much that we must discuss.” Empress Surrelia said in a demanding manner.
“Of Course my Empress, is there anything else you need of me?” Loke asked.
“Well, I really do need to relieve some of this rage! Why don’t you bend over, and hand me my whip.” Empress Surrelia said with a growing smile.
“As you wish my Empress, I am only here to please your every whim.” Grudgingly Loke said.
SMACK, SMACK, SMACK, the whip cracked across Loke’s back. But, by this time his back had grown so chaliced by the constant beating, that he felt almost nothing. Loke new better than to make any sound, for if he did, it would only mean more suffering at the hands of Surrelia.
“OH! I feel much better now. Run along Loke, and fetch my Songore, we have so much we need to catch up on.” Empress Surrelia said, letting the words roll off her tongue, and wrapping her arms around herself.
“I will get General Songore immediately!” Shouted Loke scurrying out of the royal chambers.

Within a few minuets, Loke returned with General Songore, and warned him that Empress Surrelia was in ‘one of those moods.’
“My General Songore!” Empress Surrelia shouted, barely containing her excitement.
“High Empress Surrelia, how may I be of service today? Songore said in a commanding tone.
“Oh, don’t be so commanding and stern. You military types are all the same, loosen up a bit…That is an order.” Surrelia said cackling to herself, knowing the power she had over him.
“Ok, What would you like of me today?” General Songore expressed with some emotion.
“Ah! That’s much better. Now to business. Our listening post have picked up information that those Gondacorian pigs are wanting to play war. What do we have to wipe them out, and rid the galaxy of the Gondacor Federation.”
“Well, our fleets outnumbers theirs two to one, so it shouldn’t be a problem if they attack. If they actually think they can win a war, and try, the heads of the military believe that the Gondacor Federation can be defeated in two to three months. They just don’t have the capacity to wage an effective war.” Songore proudly said to Surrelia.
“How wonderful, maybe we should attack first, and take them by surprise? Wouldn’t that just be wonderful, We can finish the job we started over a millennia ago, and exterminate all eighty billion of those pigs.” Empress Surrelia said, loving her idea.
“That is a great idea Empress Surrelia. It would be in our best interest to attack first, and bring the war to Gondacor space.” Songore agreeing with Surrelia said.
“Great, put some plans together, and bring them directly to me when they are completed so we can go through them together. I knew I could count on you, my Songore. Now run along, and draw up those plans.” Empress Surrelia said giving him a lustful eye, and twirling a dagger in her hand.

On the first of February, 2228, news reached Gondacor that the Korath had declared war on the Jessuins, and were continuing their invasion of Kyrnn. Then on the 15th of February, the Acreans decided to declare war on the Paulos, and take their only world. With the increasing hostilities the galaxy started to destabilize, and descend into conflict.

“The War Begins”

Finally on the first of March, 2228, the new ship the Council had commissioned was launched. The GSS Helios, was the new top of the line capital ship in the galaxy, and it was the final piece in the plan for the strike on the Chelsyrian Alliance. But, something happened that was quite unexpected, on the 15 of March the Chelsyrian Alliance declared war on the Altarian Resistance. Then the Torian Confederation declared war on the Chelsyrian Alliance as a response to the attack on the Altarians. With this development President Zocar called for an emergency meeting with the Federation Council.

“Members of the Federation Council, the Chelsyrian Alliance has declared war on the Altarian Resistance, and has begun to move their forces toward Altaria. I propose that we move up our plans for the strike against the Chelsyrian Alliance!” President Zocar forcefully said.
Joseti responded for the Council, “We agree, the plans need to be put into high gear, if we are to thwart the Chelsyrian expansion across the galaxy. You have the approval of this Council.”
“Great the plans will be expedited! The Chelsyrian Alliance will never know what happened. I will go confer with Head Commander Tarsus, and prepare for the attack against the Chelsyrians.” President Zocar said, then exited the Council Chambers to much fanfare.

Then on the 15th of April, 2228, the galaxy lit up with flame of war, and splintered apart, as one by one the nations exploded into conflict. President Zocar was sitting at his desk, finalizing some of the paperwork for the military campaign against Chelysria, when he received word that Empress Surrelia was demanding an audience with him.
“Empress Surrelia, what a pleasure to see your shinning personality on my view screen, how may we help you today?” President Zocar said, rolling his eyes.
“Well, you can begin by surrendering to the Chelsyrian Alliance, that would make my day!” Empress Surrelia said laughing to herself at the shock of Zocar’s face.
“What the hell do you mean! We will never surrender to such a vile people, why do you carry out these kind of threats?” President Zocar said shocked at Surrelias audacity.
“That would be because as you are sitting at your desk, multiple Chelsyrian fleets are crossing the border, and are preparing to annex your pathetic Federation. You have inhabited this galaxy for far too long, and we are no longer going to sit by and let you continue to exist. Enjoy the time you have, for our fleets will be to Gondacor in the matter of months, and we will leave no survivors!” Empress Surrelia screeched at President Zocar, and even cackled to herself.
“You will suffer for what you are doing, the other righteous nations of this galaxy will not idly sit by while you slaughter our people. Another thing you underestimate is our perseverance, and will to fight to the last man standing! So see you in HELL!” Zocar shouted back.
Surrelia responded, “We will burn Gondacor to the ground, and finish what we started over a millennia ago, prepare to die!” Empress Surrelia shouted back, and through her dagger at the view screen, ending transmission.

So the second great war between the Gondacor Federation and the Chelsyrian Alliance had commenced. With the beginning of this great war the galaxy shattered in an instant, all the tensions that had been building up for the past several years had finally boiled over. President Zocar was relieved at the support the Galactic community gave to the Gondacor Federation. On the same day that the news of the Chelsyrian Attack on Gondacor was reported, the Terran Alliance, Thalan Empire, Krynn Consulate, the Paulos, and the Jessuins declared war upon the Chelsyrian Alliance. But, that was not the only surprise on April 15th, the Korath, seeing their friends, the Chelsyrians, were maybe in trouble, declared war upon the Torian Confederation and the Terran Alliance. So, this was shaping up to be the first great interstellar war, that encompasses the entirety of the galaxy.

Back on Chelsyria, at the Chelsryian Hall of Records, Telari Manganthis was diving deep into the historical documents that the Hall contained. See was finding very interesting information about the Chelsyrian past when the view screen across the library all lit up, and began to flash bright red.
“This is your Empress! I feel it is my duty as your ruler to inform you that as of this morning we are now at war with the Gondacor Federation, and are currently preparing to engage the enemy fleets! I am asking that all loyal subjects be on the watch out for Gondacorian spies, and report any suspicious activity to the nearest prefect. I know turn this announcement over to our Chief General of the Military, General Songore.” Empress Surrelia announced throughout the Chelsyrian Alliance.
“I am General Songore, and I will be engaging the vile righteous Gondacorians, and their pathetic allies. As it stands right now our fleets grossly outnumber the number of fleets the Gondacorians and their alliance have, victory shall be swift. We are asking that all subjects of the empire to work increased hours, so as to increase military production. All those who work especially well, will be greatly rewarded, so be good loyal subjects, and work especially hard for their Empress!” General Songore said rallying the subjects of the Empire.

Suddenly Telari was in a panic, she did not know what to do. If she were found out to be Gondacorian she would surely be labeled a spy and killed on the spot. Telari quietly stood up and proceeded to leave the Hall of Records. As she was walking out the door, she could see out front of the Hall in the open plaza that a crowd had assembled and were burning Gondacor Federation flags, and those of her allies. Telari also noticed that Chelsyrian troops had put up roadblocks, and were stopping people walking along the streets, and were testing their blood, making sure they were Chelsyrian. She also saw that the troops were stopping all traffic on the sky ways above the city. She began to wonder how she was going to get off of Chelsyria.
“How in the hell am I going to get out of this one!” Telari thought to herself.
“Maybe if I make a run for it, I can make it to the transports up to the Tortu Cor space station. No, I don’t think I can do that, the Chelsyrian troops probably have that grounded too.” What am I going to do?” Telari continued to think to herself, trying to draw up a plan. But, as she stood outside the Hall of Records contemplating her situation, the troops began moving through the plaza, rounding up anyone not yet in the lines to check for nationality.
“Hey you up there, get down and into the lines or be shot!” A soldier barked at Telari
Now Telari was terrified at the situation she was in, she didn’t know how she was going to get out of this one. She answered back.
“I’ll be down in just a minuet, but….”
“Come down here know, or we’ll shoot!” The soldier repeated forcefully.

Panicked, and terrified, Telari took of running across the plaza. She ran as hard as she could, dodging plasma weapon blasts, but the soldiers were in close pursuit. Telari ran past the grand stature of Empress Surrelia, and into the crowd of people burning flags. She hoped that she would not be found in such a large crowd, but the soldiers came right in after her. She weaved between people, and knocked down a person in here way, but it was too late, the troops had the group surrounded, and were closing in on her. Telari ducked down, and crawled across the hard stone plaza, but it was of no use, one of the soldiers saw her and grabbed her.
“I have the runner, now lets see why you were in such a hurry to get away.” The solider said wrapping his arm around her, and taking out his blood analyzer. He took a blood sample from her arm, and waited for the results. The analyzer displayed that she was Gondacorian.
“Well, well, we have a Gondacorian spy! You know what they do to spies? They torture them and cut their heads off!” The solider said laughing at Telari struggling in his arms.
“I am no spy! Let me go! Let me go!” Telari screamed at the top of her lungs.
“Take her away, and notify the Generals we have found a spy.” The solider ordered, as the troops carried Telari away, screaming and kicking.

With the galaxy now gripped in a great interstellar war, President Zocar decided to immediately meet with Head Commander Tarsus.
“Commander Tarsus, I need a report on the status of our and our allies fleets.” Zocar asked of Commander Tarsus.
“Yes sir! Come over to this display, and we can run through our fleet locations, and the locations of the know Chelsyrian fleets. As you can see the Chelsyrians have multiple fleets in sector 05-08, but appear to have the bulk of their invasion fleet in sectors 04-08 and 03-08.”
“Do we have a sufficient number of fleets to hold of the Chelsyrians, and keep them form attacking any of our border worlds.” President Zocar asked.
“I believe we do, most of our fleets are in sectors 05-08 and 05-09, and are in easy striking distance of the Chelsyrian fleets along the border. The hole I can possibly see developing is along our border with the Altarians, The Chelsyrians have a base planet there that needs to be taken care of.”
“Good, keep me updated. I need to go and address the Council on the situation.” Zocar said leaving Commander Tarsus’s office.

With the war now on, Commander Tarsus left Gondacor for the battle front to lead the Gondacorian fleets into battle. Once he arrived at the front lines he ordered the fleets across the Chelsyrian border, toward the Gabe system. Commander Tarsus announced to the all fleets that the Gabe system is to be the first great battle in the war against the vile Chelsyrians.

Maybe not a human commander, but a Gondacorian Commander would. The Gondacorians are suppose to be an honorable race. If the Head Commander is going to send in troops to an area, he is going to go with them. Anything he makes his troops do, he is expected to do the same. I probably should of made that more clear.

Now for the ninth installment, I hope everyone enjoys. This is the first battle in the war against the Chelsyrians.

“The Battle of Gabe”

With the opening of May, 2228, the Battle of Gabe commenced. The seven Gondacorian fleets crossed the border and moved into striking range of the inhabited planets in the Gabe system. Commander Tarsus ordered all fleets to move into attack formation, and prepare to engage the fleets in orbit around the Chelsyrian planet Gabe IV. The fleets moved into high orbit around the planet, and prepared to engage the enemy forces that surrounded Gabe IV.

The Gondacorian ships were the first to fire. It was Commander Tarsus’s fleet that was the first to break ranks and dive down toward the Chelsyrian ships in orbit. Tarsus’s fleet was made up of the best ships in the fleet, it contained two Helios class ships, and the flagship of the Federation, the Allacor class cruiser. Commander Tarsus than gave the order for the rest of the ships to follow.

“All ships prepare to engage the enemy fleets! Don’t let the enemy out of your sight, and show them no mercy, for they will show you none! For Gondacor!
With that the Gondacorians engaging the Chelsyrians, and the second great war between the two had really started. The battle quickly turned bloody, as ship after ship fired and destroyed one another, but it appeared the battle was leaning in the favor of the Gondacor Federation. All across the Gabe System, fighting was breaking out, as Chelsyrian ships broke orbit and engaged the Gondacorians before they reached the planet. Left and right, Chelsyrian ships were being blasted apart, but the Gondacorian losses were also beginning to mount.

“This is Commander Tarsus. Gabe IV has been cleared of enemy ships, we are now moving on to Gabe I to assist all Gondacorian fleets engaged their. Gabe I task force, What is your status?”
The head of the Gabe I task force responded, “Glad to hear you’re coming! We are currently in a dog fight with swarms of Chelsyrian Protector fighters. What do you want us to do?”
“Pull back into high orbit, and regroup with us, hopefully that will draw the Chelsyrians into a higher orbit.” Ordered Commander Tarsus.

The sight was quite spectacular! As Commander Tarsus’s fleet grouped up with the Gabe I task force, they formed a long line of ships. Close behind the regrouping Gondacorian ships, the Chelsyrian fighters were in close pursuit, and closing end. Quickly two lines formed, as the Chelsyrians and Gondacorians stared each other down.
“Fire all plasma guns now! Commander Tarsus shouted through the Com system.
Suddenly the darkness of cold space, was lit up with the illumination of all the plasma and laser guns fired from the entire Gondacorian fleet. The beams hit their targets, and multiple Chelysrian fighters quickly exploded before getting off a shot. But some of the fighters fired back, and Tarsus spotted multiple incoming projectiles.
“Prepare for impact!” Commander Tarsus warned.
The Chelsyrian weapons came in fast, and hit ships across the fleets, but the hardest hit was a Helios class ship, which began to break apart.
“This Captain Nordis, we have taken heavy damage and need immediate aid! They have hit our engines and our shields are down!” BOOM, BOOM, was heard through the Com. “We are hit again! All hand to escape pods! We are breaking up, to the escape pods!” Captain Nordis shouted through the Com.
“Captain Nordis we will rendezvous with you back at Gabe IV, fly your escape pods their, we will cover you.” Commander Tarsus ordered.
“Understood! Abandon ship! All hands to escape pods!” Captain Nordis could be heard through the Com before transmission was ceased.

Commander Tarsus’s fleet broke ranks, followed by fleet 118 to cover the GSS Helios 178 escape pods. As Tarsus’s fleet was diving down to block Chelsyrian fire, They shot of round after round of Plasma bursts, taking out multiple Chelsyrian fighters. Then through the view screen the GSS Helios 178 could be seen breaking apart and exploding apart in a spectacular fire ball.
“All Gondacorian fleets move in now, and clean up this vile Chelsyrians! Gabe I is ours!” Commander Tarsus Commanded through the Com.
With that order, the entire line of Gondacorian ships moved forward and formed an attack pattern and engaged the rest of the Chelsyrian ships in orbit. Shots were fired from both sides, one right after another. The battle was beginning to grow so compact that when one ship was destroyed, another ship would be taken out by the debris of the first. But, slowing the Chelsyrian ships in orbit around Gabe I were taken out.

“The enemy fleets in orbit around Gabe I are destroyed! On to Gabe V!” Commander Tarsus ordered through the Com.
The Gondacorian fleets quickly reorganized and proceeded to Gabe V, where a large Chelsyrian defense force stood ready for an engagement with the Gondacorians.
“Ok, lets try to divide up this defense force. Fleet 21 and Fleet 7, I want you to aim your fire toward the smaller defense ships. My Fleet and Fleet 16, we are going to aim our weaponry on the larger vessels. Prepare to engage the enemy! Fire!”
With the order to fire, the third planet in the Gabe System was engaged. The Chelsyrian fleets advanced as the Gondacorian ships were advancing on them, and a clash of two great fleet ensued. There were plasma beams and mass driver projectiles flying every which direction, and ships were being hit and taken out all around the orbit of Gabe V. When it became obvious to the Chelsyrians that Gabe V would be lost, they became desperate, and began a desperate attack. The Chelsyrians began purposely ramming Gondacorian vessels, trying to take out as many of their enemy as they could.
“Shoot down that incoming ship! Blast it before it hits us!” Commander Tarsus ordered as a small Chelsyrian vessel began heading their way.
“Got them sir!” said the tactical officer.
“Good! All fleets, move forward and take out the rest of the Chelsyrian ships in orbit, they are falling apart.” Ordered Commander Tarsus.

Then a message came in to Commander Tarsus. Tarsus’s communications officer read off the message to Tarsus.
“Gondacor Federation transport have arrived in the Gabe system, and have began their ground assault on Gabe I and Gabe I. Please Standby for assistance if needed.” The Communications officer read off.
“They are already here! Great, we need to finish off this conflict a little quicker then.” Commander Tarsus said out loud.
With that, he ordered his powerful fleet to unload all weapons on the enemy, and take the rest the scattering Chelsyrian forces. Within a few minuets all remaining Chelsyrian fleets had been wiped out, our quickly warped out off orbit.
“All fleets! The Chelsyrians have been defeated in the Gabe System! We must now cover the ground forces landing on Gabe I and Gabe IV. Provide any assistance the ground commanders need, and then we will regroup for the push to Chelsyria!” Commander Tarsus ordered.
With the battle in space won, the ground battle was ready to commence.

Back on Chelsyria, Empress Surrelia just heard the news of the Chelsyrian defeat at the Battle of Gabe.
“How in the Hell could this happen General Songore! You promised me that the Gondacorians would be easily defeated, that their ships were weak and powerless compared to ours!” Surrelia screamed at Songore.
“I don’t know what happened, we should have won! Our forces were just spread too thin, and we were not prepared for the scale of the attack the Gondacorians launched.” General Songore tried to explain.
“That is no excuse! Anyway, we will still be victorious, the battle will just be a little longer than we anticipated. Songore, send in our battleships to take care of the Gondacorian ships infesting the Gabe system immediately!”
“Yes my Empress, they will be dealt with swiftly.” General Songore said and exited the royal chambers.
“Loke! Where the hell are you!” Empress Surrelia screamed.
“I am here my Empress, what may I do for you?” asked Loke.
“I need to kill something! Is there anything that needs slaughtering, or should I just kill you right now.” Empress Surrelia said cackling at Loke.
“The troops patrolling the plaza near the Hall of Records have reported they have captured a Gondacorian spy, and she is to be executed. You could go and torture her if you want.” Loke suggested.
“That sounds absolutely wonderful! Where are they holding her?”
“In the prison of Tortu Cor Station.” said Loke.
“Let them know I am coming!” Empress Surrelia ordered Loke.

You might want to hurry the getting-to-Chelsyria thing.
