For Gondacor!

For Gondacor!

This is my second AAR, and my first with DA. Since my first one went fairly well, I decieded to give it another go. Since this is the first installment, it is mainly background story, hopefully this one will turn our great. So for your reading enjoyment I present "For Gondacor!"
______________________________________________________________________________________

For Gondacor!
"A New Beginning"

The world was tearing itself apart, explosion after explosion rocked the cities of Gondacor, as powerful nuclear blasts set most the major cites of the planet ablaze. For many they believed it was the end, that the great apocalypse was upon them. All around them it seemed that the enemies were closing in, that the Gondacor Federation, was being pushed back by the Chelsyrian Alliance. For as long as anyone could remember the planet Gondacor had been split into two, the evil vile Chelsyrian Alliance on one side, and the noble Gondacor Federation on the other. Back and forth the two would quarrel, vying for dominance of the planet, until the great discovery. No one knew for sure what was actually found, but there were rumors that it was some kind of alien vessel, the problem was it was found on Federation soil.

The Chelsyrian Alliance, growing evermore suspicious of what was found, mounted an operation to steal the find, and were successful. The Gondacor Federation was outraged by the operation, but since they were concealing the find, they had no way to pressure the Alliance to return it. So the matter was brushed under the rug and forgotten for almost fifty years, but then the war began.

It was a sudden attack form the Chelsyrian Alliance, using nuclear warheads they struck major cities around the Gondacor Federation. They believed if they struck fast the Federation would fall, but that was not to be, and to the surprise of the Chelsyrians, the Federation struck back with equal furry. With the nuclear exchange, the world began to rip and tear itself apart, and when all seemed lost for the Federation, the Chelsyrians vanished, leaving no one behind.

Why and how the Chelsyrians vanished was the greatest mystery of the Gondacor people, but for now they were just happy they were gone. With their exit, the Gondacor Federation worked to rebuild their now destroyed world, and slowly Gondacor was rebuilt to its original splendor, only this time united under the Gondacor Federation. With the Gondacor united, the horrors of the war slowly faded into the past, and time slipped by, and the Gondacor people progressed. When nearly a thousand years had passed, few could recall the horrors of the Great War, for they were only stories now told to children, that had faded into myth.

It was the dawn of the year 2225, and the newly elected President Zocar, prepared to give his address to the Gondacor Federation people. President Zocar was a young Gondacorian, with strong idealist views, he was very intelligent, but very stubborn. Now after a hard fought election, he prepared to lead the Gondacor Federation to new heights.
"My fellow Gondacorians, today we are stronger than ever, and with me as your newly elected president I promise to make us even stronger! My hope is to bring stronger unity to our people, and help those that are still poverty stricken make it in our great Federation. I will be working with the Federation Council to push through some of my new initiatives to reform our education system, and overhaul our space agency. I thank you for your support, and I hope to represent you well! Thank You."

Little did President Zocar know, but his presidency was quickly going to turn into something he could not have anticipated. The day after his speech to the Federation, the fateful day came. It was a picture perfect day, the sky was a shallow cool blue, with just a few fluffy clouds passing by, a day no one would give a second thought about. Suddenly like lighting cutting the sky, a tremendous flame streaked across, darting towards the ground. With a deafening roar the objected collided with the ground, shaking the land for miles. The object had crashed into the middle of a farmers’ field, creating a huge crater were there had once been large fields of crops.

The object was tracked by the Gondacorian satellites, and the military was quick to respond. With the utmost speed the recovery team traveled out to the impact site, not knowing what they would find. To their surprise it was an intact vessel of some type, it appeared to have some damage but was remarkably in good shape. From what they could tell it, it was a space vehicle of some type, but they had no idea where it would have come from, so they sent it to the Gondacor Space Consortium. At the Consortium, the Gondacorian scientist studied the find with curious eyes, and quickly determined it was an alien vessel. The strange thing about it though, it didn’t appear to be finished, it seemed to be a prototype of some kind. After careful study, it was found that the ship was a prototype for a new engine, one that was capable of propelling a ship faster than light speed.

When word finally reached President Zocar of the discovery, he immediately saw this as a means to revamp the Gondacor Space Consortium. Zocar immediately ordered for the reverse engineering of the ship to study how the engines functioned, in order to make them useful for possible future Gondacorian ships. The scientist at the Consortium worked tirelessly around the clock, to figure that engine out, and after about a month of work they finally understood how it functioned. With the schematics the scientist and engineers drew out, it was now possible to reconstruct the engine, and put it to use for Gondacorian ships.

With plans ready to go, President Zocar quietly ordered for three ships to be constructed using the "Hyperdrive" engine, one a colony ship, another a survey ship, the GSS Gallant, and one a mining vessel. The construction proved difficult, but by the first of January, 2226, the vessels were completed. With the completing of the vessels, Zocar decided it was time to announce to the people of Gondacor of the great achievement, and of the new goals of exploration and colonization.
"People of Gondacor, this is a great day, for we have completed our first ships capable of traveling faster than the speed of light. With these new ships we will set out to explore and colonize the galaxy! For the first time in the history of Gondacor, people will set forth and spread throughout the galaxy."

With the conclusion of President Zocar’s speech, the first colony ship disembarked for the nearest planet in the Gondacor System, Alora. With the colonization of the first planet outside of Gondacor, the people now looked to the stars like they never before had.

Here is the Tenth installment. I maybe getting into too much detail, making this story rather lengthy, but I hope everyone still likes it.

“The Suffering”

“Shackle her to the wall!” The guard order the troops carrying Telari. The troops bound her hands and feet, then shackled them to the wall. After a few grunts and a couple of checks to make sure Telari was bound tight, the Troops ungaged her, and left the prison cell. Telari looked around her cell, a living hell come true, and began to cry to herself. The pain of the shackles was already starting to be felt, and the horrific red lights shown down bright on to her. The stench of the place was also unbearable, the cell was so nauseating. She began to tug at the shackles to see if they could be loosened, but they were securely attached to the wall. Then as she was began to jerk her body back and forth to try to loosen the whole constraint, she heard voices coming towards her cell.

“Open the Door now!” Loke ordered the guard stationed outside Telari’s cell.
“Yes sir,” replied the guard.
As soon as the Guard opened the door, Loke walked in to examine the prisoner before Empress Surrelia came to have her fun.
Telari screamed, “Get the hell away form me! What do you want with me! I promise you I do not know anything of strategic value!”
“Stop screaming or I will have to have you gagged!” Loke shouted back. “Guard! Get her down, and shackle her to the examination table.” Loke again ordered the guard.
“What are you going to do to me?! Please don’t harm me.” Telari pleaded.
“No harm will come to you…yet. I am just going to conduct an examination of your health. We need to know how long you can take being with Empress Surrelia.” Loke said with a grimacing smile.
“What is she want with me?” Telari asked.
“Oh, you know, information.” mumbled Loke.
Telari shouted back, “But, I don’t know anything! I am just a scientist, and was here for research purposes, I am no spy!”
“That’s for Surrelia to determine.” Loke said as the guard took Telari out of her shackles on the wall. When the guard got the last shackle off her left foot, Telari tried to kick the guard in the face, but he grabbed her and moved her to the table in the middle of the cell. The guard then reshackled her to the table, and moved back over to the door to let Loke work.

“Please, I promise you I do not know anything! We are one and the same, Gondacorian or Chelsyrian, our blood is the same.” Telari said, pleading to Loke.
“Enough of those Gondacor lies! Chelsyrians are superior in every way to Gondacorians, we have nothing in common.” Loke said, as if a scripted response. Loke then grabbed the things he needed for the examination.
“Now, I can see right through that. I know you don’t believe that, I can see it in your face.” Telari calming told Loke.
“Why would you think that? Are you a telepath or something.” Loke said joking.
“Ha! I saw that small smile, so you Chelsyrians have some feelings. I was beginning to wonder if you were capable of any positive feelings.” Telari said, hoping to connect with Loke.
“I did no such thing! Now be quiet, while I exam you. You need to be in good health before Empress Surrelia begin.” Loke replied trying to change the subject.
“What will Surrelia do with me? It is going to be bad isn’t it? Telari quietly asked Loke, as a tear rolled down the side of her check.
“I know not what Surrelia does when with prisoners, but it won’t be pleasant.” Loke quietly mumbled back, watching the tear roll down and hit the metal of the table.
“Please help me get out of here! I have heard the stories about Surrelia, and I know I will die, don’t let her do this to me!” Telari said begging Loke to help her.
“I’m sorry, I can’t.” Loke said looking into Telari eyes, and seeing nothing by a sea of fear. “Well, I am all finished, it looks like you are in good enough health. Before I go,” Loke leaned in close to Telari’s face, “What is your name?”
“Telari, Telari Manganthis.” Telari said, turning her head away from Loke.
“Guard, I am all done here. Keep watch while I inform Empress Surrelia that the prisoner is ready.” Loke ordered the guard as he left the cell, and Telari to her suffering.

Back in the Gabe system, by June 15, 2228, the ground wars on Gabe I and IV were going as planned. The troops were meeting little resistance in their occupation of the two planets. Also the transports had arrived for the ground invasion of Gabe V, and were preparing to land.
Commander Tarsus ordered through the Com system to all fleets, “I have just received word that the Chelsyrians are amassing a large fleet in the Aquilae system. All fleets, not needed in the Gabe planetary invasions, are to intercept the assembling Chelsyrian fleet at Aquilae.”

Tarsus then turned to his intelligence officer Hevork, “What is the size of the fleet assembling near Aquilae? Also can we tell what type of ships the Chelsyrians have there?”
Hevork replied, “From what intelligence has gathered, it appears to be a good sized fleet, made up powerful ships. We do outnumber the fleet gathering there, but just barely. I would advise extreme caution, who know what the enraged Empress will do.”
“Agreed. We must target the bulk of the Chelsyrian fleet in and around Aquilae II, and hopefully that will cause enough disorganization in the Chelsyrian fleets to lead us to victory.” Commander Tarsus said strategizing.

Commander Tarsus then turned to his communications officer, Gretara, “Get me President Zocar!”
“Right away sir.” Gretara said, and proceeded to open a channel with the President. “I got him up on a secure channel.”
“President Zocar, I thought I would let you know that the battle for the Gabe System has been successful. We are now proceeding to Aquilae to intercept an organizing Chelsyrian fleet. Is there any updates from our allies?” Tarsus asked.
“It appears that everyone is currently engaged in multiple conflicts, but the Krynn Consulate is in bad shape. The Krynn are fighting a two front war, from the two most powerful empires. We are doing all we can to help, but it doesn’t look good.” President Zocar informed Tarsus.
“We hope that eliminating the growing threat around Aquilae, might alleviate some pressure on the Krynn.” Commander Tarsus replied.
“I do hope so. Another thing that you should be made aware of is, the Korath have declared war upon the Thalan Empire. Also the Gondacorian embassy on Toria reported before it was evacuated that Korath had invaded Toria, and that the Torian government had fled to Toria IV. But, they expect the Torians to surrender within days, all their fleets have been destroyed. It appears that the whole of the lower galaxy is falling to the forces of the darker empires.” President Tarsus sadly reported to Tarsus.
“That is not good. But, as long as the Gondacor Federation is around, the upper galaxy shall be free from darkness and oppression.” Commander Tarsus said reassuring Zocar.
“I do hope you are right.” President Zocar said as transmission was ceased.
After discussing the situation with President Zocar, Commander Tarsus then gave the order to move into the Aquilae.
“All fleets, on to the Aquilae System! We will engage the enemy near the Chelsyrian planet Aquilae II.” Commander Tarsus ordered the fleet.
The fleet quickly moved into formation, and disembarked for Aquilae, not knowing what exactly to expect.

When the Gondacorian fleet arrived at Aquilae II in the Aquilae system, they found a massive Chelsyrian fleet waiting for them. Commander Tarsus ordered the fleet to prepare for combat.
“All fleets in battle formation!” Commander Tarsus ordered through the Com., and the fleets moved into battle formation, and charged weapons.
“Prepare to fire on my command! Do not leave a single Chelsyrian ship intact, lets blast them back to hell! Tarsus said putting the fleet on standby.
The Gondacorian and Chelsyrians fleets were now lined up ready to fire upon each other at a moments notice. It now became a question of who would fire first. The wait was not that long, for the Chelsyrians, not wanting a repeat of the Battle of Gabe, fired first.

“Open Fire! Target those ships firing upon us!” Tarsus ordered, shouting into the Com across the fleet.
“They are targeting our Malacor class fighters! Tarsus’s Tactical Offer shouted.
“Take us in, and draw some fire off of them!” Tarsus shouted.
With the Battle of Aquilae underway, the Chelsyrian fleets began moving in on the Gondacorian fleets, firing furiously. the Gondacorians also moved in, firing off plasma burst after plasma burst, and taking out multiple Chelsyrian fighters. The Chelsyrians, fearing they would loose all their fighter ships, began firing upon the Gondacorian cruisers, and took out a Allacor class ship.
“Sir, the Chelsyrians have taken out one of the Allacor class ships!” The tactical officer shouted to Tarsus.
“Take out those ships closing in one that fleet! What are our loses at this point?” Tarsus shouted back.
“We have lost multiple Malacor class fighters, and the Allacor class ships are under…” BOOM! “We have just taken a hit to our Warp engines!”
“Move us out of range of those ships NOW!” Tarsus order his ship.
“Moving out of range of their fire.” His officer reported.
“Commander Tarsus, this Hevork! The Chelsyrian ships are retreating. They have taken heavy damage and are trying to flee. Should we pursue?” Hevork asked.
“Send the fighters after them, but only till they are out of the system. Let them leave in shame.” Ordered Commander Tarsus.

With the Chelsyrian Retreat from Aquilae, the system fell to the Gondacor Federation.

You'll be invading Chelsyria in no time! Be careful, though. They might whip out some kind of supership or something.

Alex, dont worry about detail:D Your readers loved it with less detail, we can easily stand a slightly longer read:) I am actually planning on archiving this thread into a story and saving it for future reads once it is completed. Hope it ends well, this one is excellent thus far.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks GalenEvil! As it looks right now, there is a ways to go. I really wanted to build up some characters in this AAR, so it is more than one battle after another.

I hopefully will have the next installment out tomorrow evening, look for some cool new ships to enter the war. If you want an early peek, one of the ships is posted over at the "Show off your ships 2007," post #146.

“Unacceptable Losses”

With the Gondacorian conquest of the Chelsyrian world of Aquilae, and the start of July, 2228, the Chelsyrians were ready to strike back with the might of their military.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

“General Songore!” Empress Surrelia screamed through the Com to General Songore.
“Yes my Empress, It is a pleasure to hear from you.” Songore said trying to dodge the obvious.
“Don’t pretend you don’t know! Why in the hell did you allow Aquilae to fall to those bastard Gondacorian pigs!” Empress Surrelia angrily demanded.
“They outnumbered our fleet in orbit there, we just weren’t expecting such a bold move from them so soon!” General Songore pleaded.
“That is no excuse! Both engagements with the Gondacorians have ended in defeat for us! I will not tolerate another loss! There are many more Generals that would be more than happy to have your job.” Surrelia threatened.
“Yes my Empress, I understand. I will not let you down again. We are currently preparing to engage the Gondacorians advancing on the Patroklos System, they will not win this fight. Our great fleets amassed there will surely defeat their inferior ships, I promise you that!’ General Songore said assuring Surrelia of victory.
“I am holding you to your word! If you allow the Patroklos System to fall to those ghastly Gondacorians and there allies, it will be your head!” Empress Surrelia sternly said.
“I completely understand, They will be defeated! None will survive!” General Songore reassured Empress Surrelia as she closed transmission.

General Songore turned to his second in command, Gorth, “Raise the Com to the rest of the fleet!”
“It is done sir!” Gorth said.
“This is General Songore. I am ordering all fleets to prepare to engage the oncoming Gondacorian fleets. Don not let any of the enemy ships into the Patroklos System, for the Empress commands it. Also any ship that tries to retreat will be immediately shot down by me personally! Standby for orders.” General Songore commanded to the whole of the Chelsyrian fleet.
“Sir, the Gondacorians are approaching the outer border of the Patroklos System!” The Second, Gorth, said.
“How long till they reach the border!” Demanded General Songore.
“Approximately five minutes.” Gorth replied.
“Attention all fleets! Enemy ships have been spotted. Advance on the incoming Gondacorian ships. Ordered Songore. “When the enemy is within firing range, open fire immediately. Do not give them a chance to get the first shot off! Songore Commanded as the Gondacorians entered visual range.
The Gondacorian fleets crossed the border into the Patroklos System, with roughly the equivalent number of ships as the Chelsyrians had stationed there.
“Fire! Fire now!” General Songore commanded as the Gondacorians entered within firing range. He then turned to his weapons officer.
“Target the lead Gondacor fighters! Don’t let them break through our lines!” Songore shouted.
“Aye Sir! Targeting now.”
“Yes, that is it! Keep targeting those fighters. If we hit them with everything, we take them all out! General Songore ordered.
“Sir! Our Battleships on the left lines are taking heavy damage, their shields are down, and impulse drives have overloaded.” Gorth reported to Songore.
“Bombard those ships targeting them! Now! We can’t afford to loose anymore ships, Empress Surrelia will not allow it!” Commanded Songore.
Songore’s ship then fired and took out two Allacor class ships, blowing them into huge fragments, which then crashed into the rest of the Gondacorian lines, hitting fighters and taking out a Helios Class ship.

Over on the Gondacorian side of the battle front, Commander Tarsus was in a real predicament.
“Hevork! Report!” Commander Tarsus shouted across the bridge as weapon fire hit the ship, sending sparks raining down onto everyone on the bridge.
“Our fleet is taking very heavy damage from the Chelsyrian ships! One of the Allacor ships is breaking apart!” Hevork shouted back, as the consol next to him caught fire.
“Move us away from the debris! Get that fire out!” Commander Tarsus shouted as another burst of weaponry shook the ship.
‘The shields are failing! We have reports of casualties on most decks. My Computer Consol just went offline, I can‘t get any reports!” Hevork screamed through the loud noise on the deck.
“Do we still have engines?” Tarsus, stressed, asked.
“Engines are undamaged. Some of our ships are falling back.” Hevork replied, moving to the consol next to him, and coughing on the smoke on the bridge.
“Engage the engines and get us out of here! Gretara, raise the Com.” Commander Tarsus ordered through the chaos.
“This is Commander Tarsus, fall back to Aquilae! I repeat, disengage the enemy, and fall back to Aquilae!” Commander Tarsus ordered through the Com. With that order, what was left of the Gondacorian fleets began fleeing the Patroklos System, and the Chelsyrians quickly took advantage of the situation.
“Commander Tarsus! The Chelsyrian fleets are targeting our fleeing ships, and are trying to disable their engines!” Hevork shouted to Tarsus.
“Our ships are faster than the Chelsyrians, tell them to engage engines to full!” Tarsus replied.
“Also most of the escape pods from the destroyed ships have been brought aboard the remaining ships, but there are hundreds still unaccounted for.”
“We will deal with the casualties once we get back to Aquilae. This is just one battle in the war, victory will still be ours, it just might take a little longer.

Meanwhile back on the Chelsyrian side of the battle, General Songore was ecstatic over the apparent victory.
“General Songore, the enemy appears to be retreating!” Gorth shouted.
“Great! Lets push the Gondacorian scum back out of this system, take out as many Gondacorian ships as you can while they flee!” Ordered Songore. “Get me Empress Surrelia.”
“Empress Surrelia is on a the secure channel.” Gorth informed Songore.
“Empress Surrelia, I am pleased to inform you that your grand fleet has been victorious, and has repulsed the Gondacorian intrusion.” General announced proudly to Surrelia.
“I expected these kind of results a month ago! Why weren’t you able to pull victories then?” Empress Surrelia replied back with a smirk, deflating Songore’s pride.
“I promise you the rest of the battles will end in victories, for the Gondacorians are in disarray.” General Songore assured Empress Surrelia.
“You better hope so, or it will be your head!” Empress Surrelia said cackling as she closed transmission.

Back on Gondacor, President Zocar received the news of the defeat at the Battle of Patroklos. He was worried that the defeat may signal a shift in the war, Zocar decided to consult the Federation Council on the matter.
“Members of the Federation Council, we have suffered our first defeat in the war against the Chelsyrian Alliance. I propose that we go ahead and rush produce the long needed replacement ships for our fleets. The new ships should be up to the challenge of taking on the newer Chelsyrian fleets.”
Senator Joseti answered, “We are agreed, these ships must be ready to go as soon as possible. We can not allow this war to continue on for extended period of time, the people will not respond well to that. You have your funds for the ships.”
“Thank you your High Council. We will break this developing stalemate between us and the Chelsyrian Alliance. There will be no dawn for the Chelsyrians! President Zocar proclaimed to the Council, then returned to his capitol office to hammer out the plans. Zocar raised Commander Tarsus on the Com.
“Commander Tarsus, The Federation Council has approved the building of the new ships that have been on the back burner. You should have them in your fleets very soon.” Zocar proudly announced to Tarsus.
“Thank you! We need them badly now. The Chelsyrians have built new ships that counter the ones we currently have. The reinforcements will be greatly appreciated.” Commander Tarsus graciously replied to Zocar.
“You are very welcome! I hope these ships will again turn the tide of the war to our favor.” President Zocar said as he closed transmission.

With the Gondacorian defeat at the Battle of Patroklos, the outcome of the war with the Chelsyrian Alliance became uncertain. But, back on Chelsyria, Empress Surrelia had a spy to deal with.

“The Looming Conflict”

“Guard! Open that door!” Empress Surrelia shrieked down the hall, approaching the cell Telari was held in, with Loke at her side. Inside the cell, the shrieking of Empress Surrelia’s voice echoed, and woke Telari out of her daydreaming, and brought once again the back to the reality of her situation.
“Loke, is the prisoner all ready for a good questioning? Surrelia asked with growing excitement.
“I checked her out awhile ago and she is in good health.” Loke replied, grudgingly.
“Ah! Wonderful! Finally some new blood to play with. When I’m done with her, she may not be in the best of health.” Empress Surrelia said out loud, cackling. “Wait out her till I am done Loke, It won’t be too long.” Empress Surrelia said strutting into to the cell, closing the heavy door behind her.
“So, you are the spy that I keep hearing about in my palace. Gondacor sure has a great since of humor, sending a feeble person like you over here. My troops tell me you took off running, and fell to the ground, trying to get away from them. Needless to say, you didn’t put up much of a fight.” Empress Surrelia said mockingly.
“Like I told your troops, guards, Loke, and now you, I AM NO SPY!” Telari shouted at Surrelia, spitting in her face.
Wiping the spit from her face, Surrelia began, “so, you want to play rough! I was hoping for this, I can now bring out my toys! Also, Get one thing straight, address me as EMPRESS! Surrelia screamed, getting into Telari’s face, and striking Telari with her fist.
Coughing, Telari responded, “You can beat me all you want, but you will never get anything out of me! I AM NO SPY, and I NO NOTHING! I know nothing about Gondacor military plans, or intelligence! So, you get me, I will never address such a vile scum, such as yourself, as EMPRESS! You are nothing but a pathetic scum, infesting this galaxy!”
After Telari finished venting her frustration, Surrelia looked around, licked her teeth, then grasped Telari by the neck.
“YOU GET THIS, one way or another I am going to get the information out of your head.” Surrelia screamed, moving within an inch of Telari’s face, and grasping her hand ever tighter around Telari’s neck.
Gasping, Telari pleaded, “Please! PLEASE! Let go! I can’t breath!”
“TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!” Surrelia shouted back, grasping her hand even tighter.
“AHH! LET GO!” Telari barely gargled out.
“Very well!” Empress Surrelia said, letting go of Telari’s neck. Being let go, Telari let out a loud gasp, sucking in the putrid air, and coughing.
Surrelia than began again, “That was only a taste of what is to come for you! Guard, Get this pathetic thing of the table, and strap her to the wall! Also bring in my cart of goodies! Empress Surrelia ordered through her Com.
“Right away my Empress!” The guard replied.
Surrelia then turned to Telari, with a smirk, “Now the real fun can begin!”
“Nothing you can do to me will ever break me! I would much rather die, so just kill me know! Telari shouted at Surrelia, then turned her head toward the wall.
Surrelia grabbed Telari’s chin, and jerked her head back around. “Where would the fun be in that! Plus, that would be too easy!” Surrelia sternly said. looking deep into Telari’s eyes, Surrelia spoke again in her loathing voice, “the fun is just about to begin!”

The guard walked into the cell pushing the cart with Empress Surrelia’s ’toy collection,’ leaving it beside the table. He then went over to the table, and holding Telari with all his strength, picked her up, kicking, and shackled her up to the wall.
“Is there anything else you need my Empress?” The guard asked.
“No, that is all. Just tell Loke I’ll be done in awhile.” Empress Surrelia said, turning her attention back to the prisoner. Empress Surrelia walked over to her cart by the table, and pushed it front of Telari hanging the wall. Surrelia then moved over toward Telari.
“Can you guess what is inside this cart?” Surrelia asked menacingly. Telari just turned away, and ignored Surrelia’s question.
“Well, it is the silent treatment now!” Empress Surrelia laughed at Telari. Surrelia then immediately stopped her cackling, and grabbed Telari’s head.
“You listen here!” Surrelia punched Telari in the gut. “No one disrespects me by not answering when I demand it. I am going to let you hang here for awhile, and when I return, I expect some manners. I’ll let you contemplate what fun awaits in the cart.” Empress Surrelia shouted, then turned and exited Telari’s cell. She turned to Loke.
“Loke, make sure she is ready for some fun when I get back. I want her to be fully aware of what’s going on.” Empress Surrelia ordered Loke.
“Yes, my Empress it will be done.” Loke said with a sigh.

Back on the galactic scene, more conflicts were breaking out, and spiraling the galaxy deeper into chaos.
“Commander Tarsus, what is your status?” President Zocar asked, opening communications.
“We are currently conducting repairs on the fleet in the Gabe System. The fleet sure took a pounding in that last engagement with the Chelsyrian Alliance, we might be out for awhile.” Commander Tarsus said disappointed.
“You are not going to be able to be down very long! Our scout ships, in Chelsyrian space, have reported a massive fleet of Chelsyrian ships heading for the Gabe System, and they will be there very soon. The scouts reported that the Chelsyrian fleets were composed of heavily armed battleships, and almost outnumber your fleets stationed at Gabe almost two to one.” President Zocar informed Tarsus.
“Shoot! I don’t think we will be prepared in time to counter their attack!” Tarsus reluctantly replied.
“Don’t worry too much, I have a little surprise for you. The new ships that we have been franticly trying to put together are done and ready for action. I have ordered the ships to rendezvous with your main fleet down at Gabe. They should be there before the Chelsyrians make it there.” Zocar pleasantly reported.
“Wow, that was quick! The ships are much appreciated, I will be putting them to use as soon as they get here.” Commander Tarsus said in amazement.
“You are very welcome. We want this conflict dealt with quickly, and with minimal loss of life. Zocar graciously replied.
“I will end this as quickly as I can!” Commander Tarsus promised, and closed transmission.

After transmission was closed with Commander Tarsus, President Zocar returned to his work. But, before he got to deep into it, his secretary came running into the office.
“President Zocar! We have just received word that the Drengin Empire has attacked the Korath planet Florin, effectively declaring war on them.”
“Thank you for the information. Get me Lord Kona on a secure channel immediately!” President Zocar asked.
“Right away President Zocar.” the secretary replied.

When communication was opened President Zocar began.
“Greetings Lord Kona! It is a honor to have your audience.” President Zocar said welcomingly.
“The same to you. Now what is your reason for contacting us?” Lord Kona said questioning Zocar.
“We heard of your declaration of war upon the Korath Clan, and would like to offer you support in this conflict. If there is anything you need, the Gondacor Federation will be here to help.” President Zocar expressed.
“The Drengin Empire thanks you for your offer, but it seems that you can use all the help you can get in your struggle against the Chelsyrian Alliance. I don’t see how Gondacor could possibly help.” Lord Kona replied, concerned.
“We are having a bit of a problem with the Chelsyrians, but if the Korath are not stopped, Gondacor will surely be a target of theirs.” Zocar stated.
“You are probably right. If there is anything we need, I will be sure to ask you first.” Lord Kona said, and closed transmission.

Following Zocar’s discussion with Lord Kona, Zocar tried to get back to work, but was too distracted to concentrate. He got up from his desk, and walked over to the window over looking most of the capital. Zocar looked out across the city, watching all the ships and vehicles flying through the sky, and began to contemplate the effects the war with the Chelsyrian Alliance would have on Gondacor. He knew that this war must be won at all costs, for Empress Surrelia would love nothing more than to blast Gondacor to fragments. Zocar then turned his head up, and looked into the evening sky, watching the stars slowly begin to poke their light through.

He began to think back, before the time of space travel, when he was still young. Zocar pictured all the times that he remembered just going outside and laying on the soft grass to watch the stars. He remembered how they always seemed so far away, but he loved to imagine what amazing things must lay around them. Now, all Zocar could see was the misery that laid waiting around them, the stars had become a diminished memory of what they had used to mean to Zocar, they were the bringers of sorrow.

Suddenly, breaking the dimming evening sky, a shooting star came streaking across the sky. It only lasted a moment, quickly burning out, as it shot towards the ground. For a moment images of disaster entered Zocar’s mind, before it hit him that it was only a shooting star. He could no longer see the beauty in the heavens, when he looked towards it, Zocar only pictured disaster. Zocar realized that finding out Gondacor was a small and insignificant spec in a universe full of life, somehow had diminished the preciousness of his world.

While President Zocar contemplated in his office, light years away in the Gabe System, Commander Tarsus’s fleet was preparing to head out and meet the advancing Chelsyrian fleets. The battle that was beginning to unfold, involved more ships than any previous engagement, and promised to be a turning point and longing war.

Alex: Do you have a game screen recorder available to you? If you do it would be pretty cool if you could make a video of a battle or two, upload them to a site, and then post a link with a screenshot from the video on here. I think that actually seeing your ships in action would bring a slightly higher "Im there" feeling to the story. Great AAR, glad to see that you are diligent in your pursuit of victory.

Nope, I don't have a screen recorder, so I am left to descriping the battle scene. I am glad I inspired you to get Dark Avatar, it is really great.

Now, here is the Thirteenth installment! I hope you enjoy.

“The Carnage of Gabe”

“Commander Tarsus! Enemy ships closing in on our position!” Hevork reported to Tarsus from across the bridge.
“Officer Gretara, signal all fleets to prepare for battle, and assume an attack position. Also raise the Com to the rest of our fleet.” Commander Tarsus ordered.
Officer Gretara replied, “Channel is open.”
“Gondacor Federation fleet, this is Commander Tarsus. Enemy ships have been picked up heading towards our current position, ready all weapons. The Chelsyrians will try to strike hard and fast, so have shields at maximum. Wait for my order to fire!” Commander Tarsus commanded as the Chelsyrians entered visual range.

The Chelsyrian fleet, approaching the Gondacorians defending Gabe, slowed down and assumed an attack position. The Chelsyrian fighters positioned themselves around the Chelsyrian Battleships and Cruisers, preparing to make the first strike.
Commander Tarsus then gave the fateful order, “Open fire on the Chelsyrians! For today we fight for Gabe, for the Federation, for Gondacor!”
With the order, the Gondacorian Battle Cruisers broke formation and advanced forward, firing plasma cannons, and newly installed phaser beams at the closing Chelsyrian fighters. The Chelsyrians struck back with equal furry, letting loose their weapons upon the advancing ships, blasting apart one of the Hevonacor class battle cruisers.
“All Destroyers advance now!” Commander Tarsus order upon seeing the destruction the Chelsyrians were raining upon the Gondacorian lines. The Benacor class Destroyers were truly a sight to behold, for they were the largest ships the galaxy had ever seen, and the most powerful. Destroyer class weaponry was unmatched by any ships the Chelsyrians had built, and promised to bring devastation to Chelsyrian lines. The Destroyers charged their weapons and fired, destroying one Chelsyrian fighter after another surrounding the Chelsyrian battleships. The Chelsyrian battleships then took aim at the Gondacor Destroyers moving in, and fired, trying to halt their advance. At the same time, the Chelsyrians aimed weapons on Commander Tarsus ship.

“Commander! We are being targeted by a Chelsyrian Battleship!” Hevork shouted across the chaotic bridge.
“Order our fighters to aim at the ship targeting us, and charge our primary weapon, and fire on that ship!” Commander Tarsus ordered as his ship took a big hit. BOOM! Sparks came raining down from the lights on the bridge, and ship shuttered from the impact of the blast.
“Hevork! Where were we hit?” Commander Tarsus franticly asked.
“We took a impact to the underside of the ship! Shields are at half strength!” Hevork quickly reported.
“Fire on that ship, Target their weapons!” Tarsus commanded with speed.

Tarsus’s ship fired it’s plasma cannons at the Chelsyrian Battleship, and with a brilliant flash of light and flying debris, their weapons were disabled. As the battle between the Chelsyrians and Gondacorians wore on, one ship after another, on both sides, were being blasted apart. Plasma burst and the explosions of missiles rock the area of the battle, and lit up the quadrant with brilliance of a star.

“Commander Tarsus! One of the Benacor Destroyers is breaking up!” Hevork shouted across the bridge. With a blinding flash of light, and debris shooting out in every direction, like that of a falling meteor, the Destroyer began breaking apart. Ships began fleeing the breaking up Destroyer, fearful that debris would take them out. But, some of the Chelsyrian Battleships were not fast enough to outrun the exploding debris. The front section of the Destroyer went hurdling into side of a fleeing Chelsyrian battleship, causing an eruption of flames and debris that took out most surrounding ships in an entanglement of wreckage.
“Hevork, order our ships out of that area immediately!” Commander Tarsus shouted immense the chaos breaking out across the fleet.
“Enemy ships closing in on our coordinates! They are charging weapons.” Hevork shouted back.
“Fire on them! Take our their weapons, ram them if you have to! Commander Tarsus ordered as ships on both sides were flying and attacking from every direction.

The battle scene was quickly being littered and filled with the debris and wreckage from all the carnage and destruction that was occurring. Escape pods could be seen trying to make it through the never ending firing on both sides of the conflict, but most were being blasted apart by fighters on both sides.
Commander Tarsus announced to the whole of the Gondacorian fleet, “Lets give this one final push, and take out these Vile Chelsyrians! So no mercy!”
With the determination to survive and the want to protect the worlds they came from, the Gondacorian fleet made one last advance against the Chelsyrian lines. Firing round after round of phasers and plasma bursts, the Gondacorians rushed in, descending upon the Chelsyrians as if the heavens had opened up and unleashed its’ furry. Under such heavy bombardment, one Chelsyrian battleship after another was crippled and blown to a thousand fragments, scattering to the void of space.
As sparks flew and the bridge rocked, Commander Tarsus gave the last order of the battle, “All Gondcorian fleets! Clear the area of Chelsyrian ships, leave no survivors, for the this battle is ours!”

The Chelsyrians, sensing imminent defeat, began acting out of desperation.
“Commander Tarsus, a Chelsyrian battle cruiser is accelerating in our direction! If the ship does not change course, impact will be in forty seven seconds!” Hevork shouted, turning toward Commander Tarsus.
“Move us out of the way, and fire all weapons on the incoming ship!” Tarsus demanded.
“There is not enough time to get out of the way! Firing all weapons! Their shields are down, but they are still advancing!” Panicked, Hevork screamed across the roaring bridge.
“All hands, brace for impact!” Commander Tarsus ordered, and strapped himself securely.
The Chelsyrian battleship moved closer and closer, picking up speed with every second. Then, CRASH! BOOM! The battleship rammed Tarsus’s ships. The bridge rocked violently, and sparks rained everywhere, and fires erupted from the computer consoles.
“All hands, proceed to escape pods! Abandon ship!” Commander Tarsus ordered as his ship shuddered from one explosion after another.
Quickly, escape pods could be seen shooting out of the sides of ship. After Commander Tarsus was sure all hands had escaped the ship, he took one last look around his bridge, then he and the two remaining bridge officers made their way to the remaining pods. They squeezed in, and departed the ship for the last time, making their way to Destroyer closest to their position. While in flight to the Destroyer, with a sudden burst of light and flames Tarsus’s Valacor class ship ripped into thousands of pieces. Tarsus then looked out across the battle from the small window on the pod. For as far as the eye could see, there was nothing but exploding ships and weapons fire flying back and forth. He could see the remnants of hundreds of ships that had been pulverized by the intensity of the conflict, and the many ships that were abandoned and adrift in the darkness of space. But, Commander Tarsus knew that this was a day for the Gondacorians, for they had achieved a monumental victory against the Chelsyrian Alliance.

When Commander Tarsus was brought aboard the Balacor Destroyer, the Captain, Captain Casior, was there to greet him.
“Commander Tarsus, I am sorry about your ship, but we have most of your crew aboard our ship.” Captain Casior happily reported.
“What is the status of our fleets?” Commander Tarsus promptly asked.
“The Chelsyrians are thoroughly defeated, we are just cleaning up a few ships that are trying to hold out, but they will not last much longer.” Casior reported.
“Good, I am going to move the fleet command to your ship until we get this battle finished up.” Commander Tarsus informed Casior.
Captain Casior kindly replied, “My ship is yours, I will show you to the bridge.”
“My just until the President Zocar sends me a new one, which I assume will be promptly.” Tarsus said with a smile.
“Well as long as you need her, my ship is yours”
“Thank you, now lets go finish off these Chelsyrians!” Commander Tarsus said as they made their way up to the bridge.

What was left of the massive Gondacorian fleets moved through the sector of the battle, and finished off all remaining Chelsyrian vessels. Not one Chelsyrian ship was left intact, the only one to have know to escape was the Chelsyrian command ship, led by General Songore. When Songore saw the tide was turning against the Chelsyrians and his lines were being decimated, he fled the battle. After Commander Tarsus was sure that all enemy vessels had be destroyed, the Gondacorian fleets moved to regroup at Gabe, where reinforcements were making their way.
“Gretara, raise the Com to President Zocar.” Tarsus order Officer Gretara.
“The channel is open.” Gretara replied.
“President Zocar, I am pleased to inform you that we are victorious, and once the again the battle has turned to our favor.” Tarsus proudly reported.
“That is great news, the Federation honors you for your valor. Why are you not on your ship?” President Zocar said with a concerned look.
“It was lost in the battle, but my crew is fine.” Tarsus replied.
“Good, good. I am glad to hear that your crew is ok, I will have a new ship sent to you promptly.” President Zocar graciously offered.
“Thank you, it will be much appreciated.” Tarsus said appreciatively. “Is there anything I can do for you President Zocar?”
“Well, we have a severe situation developing back here on Gondacor. I am recalling all nonessential fleets from the Chelsyrian border, the situation is dire! President Zocar informed Tarsus with a sense of disbelief.

“Escape from Tortu Cor”

While the second battle of Gabe was wrapping up, back on Chelsyria Loke was letting his curiosity to get the better of him. Empress Surrelia was preoccupied with the ongoing conflict, and growing rumors of revolt, which allowed Loke some time to look into what the prisoner Telari was claiming. Loke made his was down the heavily guarded streets to the Chelsyrian Hall of Records, where he, having a high security clearance, entered the restricted zone of the building. Loke went through stacks and stacks of old deteriorating documents that had not been touched for centuries.

For hours Loke dug, carefully looking over each file, and eventually he dug back far enough. He began to find papers and records from around the time of the supposed exodus, but the number of documents was few from this period, and he was hard pressed to find anything informative. Then Loke stumbled across an odd looking folder, it appeared old, and the language of the front was not in a modern Chelsyrian. He picked it up, being very careful because it appeared very fragile, and slowly pulled back the cover of the folder.

“Oh my God! She is right!” Loke said in amazement, looking upon what was inside the folder. Inside the folder was the proof to what Telari Manganthis had been pleading, it was an ancient map of the planet Gondacor before the Great War. The map clearly showed the territories of the Gondacor Federation and the Chelsyrian Alliance, proving that the Chelsyrians originated from the planet Gondacor.

Loke continued to gaze upon the ancient map with utter amazement, but suddenly the alarms thought out the Hall of Records began to blare. Loke grabbed the ancient map, and ran over to the nearest computer consol and copied and downloaded the map on to a memory disk, then quickly placed the map back into the stacks. He then, with a hurried pace, proceeded to the front of the restricted area, and approached the nearest guard to find out what was going on.

“Guard! Guard! What the hell is going on? Loke shouted over the annoying blaring alarms.
“The planet is under attack! You need to get under cover immediately!” The Guard shouted back.
“Is it the Gondacorians?” Loke yelled with concern.
“No, I haven’t heard who has dared to attack us, but you really need to get under cover!” The guard repeatedly shouted to Loke.
“I am Loke, Empress Surrelia’s assistant and personal advisor, and I must get back to the palace immediately! Do you have a shuttle I can borrow?” Loke said questioning the guard.
“Of course I do, I can take you to the palace if you want.” The guard offered to Loke.
“No, I will take it myself, I will have it another shuttle sent to replace the one I am taking. Can you point me to where the shuttles are? Loke responded.
“The shuttles are just down the main hall. When you come to the end of the hall you will see a sign to the Shuttle Departure Bay. Oh, here is a security card to operate the shuttles, just insert it into the slot beside the controls.” The guard quickly said to Loke.
“Thanks, I flown shuttles many times. I got to go!” Loke said grabbing the security card and taking off running down the main hall.

Loke ran down the main hall till he reached the end, and saw the entrance to the Shuttle Bay. He pushed open the heavy metal door, and scurried over to the closest shuttle, covering his ears, trying to block out the echoing alarm. Loke pushed the open button on the side of the shuttle and the hatch retracted upward, Then Loke climbed in. He inserted the security card, and the shuttle powered up, then the computer’s voice began.
“Please state your name and position.” The computer ordered.
Loke responded, “Loke Oravise, Prime Advisor and personal assistant to Empress Surrelia.”
“Voice identification cleared, please input destination.” The computer stated.
“Tortu Cor Space Station, and dock on the level 15 shuttle bay.” Ordered Loke.
“Destination confirmed, prepare for launch.” The computer advised.
Loke, in his mind, knew that he had to get Telari out of Tortu Cor Station, for she was telling the truth, and he could not let her die. Loke knew Telari may be the only one that could bring the bloody war between the Chelsyrians and Gondacorians to an end.

The computer then announced, “prepare for take off.” The shuttle moved to the runway and lifted off, heading up to Tortu Cor Station. From the cockpit of the shuttle, Loke could see the reason for the alarms going off in the Hall of Records. Up in the night sky above him, Loke could see large explosions and ships falling from orbit, raining down to the Chelsyrian surface. Loke knew from the guard that it was not the Gondacorians, but he wondered who could have gotten this far into Chelsyrian space to carry out an attack of this magnitude. Loke then looked to his left and saw a number of ships firing on Tortu Cor Station, he knew the station had a wide array of weapons, but he didn’t know how long it could hold out. Loke then ordered the computer to increase speed, and take evasive action to avoid the enemy ships, and get to the station safely.

Maneuvering through the enemy fire, the shuttle swerved left and right, up and down, avoiding all the enemy fighters that seemed to be coming from everywhere. Loke got a good look at the enemy fighters, and to him they appeared to Chelsyrian in style, he didn’t know for the life of him what could possibly be going on. Then the computer announced.
“Prepare for a hard landing, and fasten seat restraints.”
Loke grabbed his the seatbelt and braced himself for a hard impact of the level 15 shuttle bay runway. Out of the window he could see the runway approaching fast, them with a skidding bang, the shuttle scraped along the runway, rocking Loke hard in the shuttle. The shuttle finally came to rest facing the sidewall in the shuttle bay. Loke then looked out across the shuttle bay, and to him it appeared abandoned, no one came out to help him out. Loke quickly grabbed the security card, and opened the hatch to the shuttle, and jumped down to the floor. He knew the prisoner cells were only two levels above him, so Loke ran across the shuttle bay to the nearest computer consol.
“Computer, is the Gondacorian spy still in her cell?”
“That is classified information, please provide security code.” responded the station computer.
Loke entered his security code on the display panel, and repeated his question.
“Is the spy form Gondacor still located in her cell?”
“The prisoner has not yet been evacuated from the station.” the computer informed Loke.

Knowing that Telari was still onboard, Loke took off down the dismal corridors of the station. The stations alarms were sounding, and the announcement to vacate the station continued to repeat as Loke made his way up the prisoner cells. When Loke made it to level 15, he heard a large explosion, and was thrown to the floor as the station shuddered from the weaponry impacts. Loke got up and continued to make his way to Telari. He ran into a number of soldiers who were abandoning their posts.
“Soldier, are the prisoners still in their cells?” gasping Loke asked.
“Yes, not enough time to evacuate them. You should come with us, the stations shields are failing, and will not take many more hits!” Panicked the solider shouted at Loke.
“No, I can’t, there is something I must retrieve!” Loke shouted back as the solider took off when another blast shook the station.
“Your life!” The solider yelled as he took off around a corner.
Loke continued down the long dark corridor to the prisoner cells, until he made it to Telari’s cell. He entered his security code, unlocking the cell door, and ran in. He could see that Telari was shackled to the wall, and didn’t look well at all.
“Telari are you ok?” Loke asked concerned.
“Loke is that you? I thought I had been left to die here on this hell of a station.” Telari said with a faint smile.
“You were telling the truth! I found the proof in the restricted area of the Hall of Records, I just couldn’t believe it! I need to get you our of here, maybe we can finally put an end to this horrible war.” Loke said as he began to unshackle Telari from the wall.
“What did you find?” Telari asked with renewed curiosity.
“An ancient map of the Gondacor, showing clearly the countries of the Gondacor Federation and Chelsyrian Alliance, proving that the Chelsyrians originated from Gondacor.” Loke excitedly said, as he unlatched the last shackle.
“Do you have it with you?”
“I have it saved on a memory disk back on my ship. But, first we need to get out of here, quickly! Can you walk ok?” Loke, concerned, asked.
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Where are we going to go?” Telari asked, not knowing what was going to happen.
“I have to get you far away from Chelsyrian space, and once they find out what I am doing, I’ll be executed on the spot. So, we both need to get our of here, I was thinking we can head towards the Gondacorian trade stations along the Chelsyrian border. I think we can blend in ok there, we can figure out what we want to do from there.” Loke suggested.
“Sounds good to me, but by the sounds of it, we need to get off this station quick, who’s attacking?”
“I don’t know. It is not the Gondacorians, the ships appear to be Chelsyrian, who knows what the hell is going on!” Loke answered.

Loke and Telari both took off down the corridors, making their way back to Loke’s shuttle. Then suddenly another large explosion rocked the station, sending Loke and Telari sliding across the floor.
“Hurry Telari, we don’t have much time!” Loke shouted, pulling himself back up.
“I’m coming!”
Then another blast ravaged the station, sending sparks and glass flying through the corridor.
“Loke!” Telari screamed, being thrown across the hall, smacking against a wall.
“Hold on, I’m coming. Grab my hand!”
Telari grabbed Loke’s hand, and he pulled her up from the rough metal floor.
“We got to move quickly if we are going to make it out, we cannot afford not to. Our people‘s futures are at stake!”
“Loke, Watch out!” Telari cried out as metal panels came smashing down from the ceiling.
“Run, this place is coming apart!”
They quickly made their way back to the shuttle, dodging fires and fallen debris that littered the winding corridors to the shuttle bay. Through the shuttle bay windows, Telari and Loke could see the enemy ships closing in on the station. Loke opened the hatch, and they both scrambled in. He inserted his security card, and gave his clearance.
“Computer prepare for immediate take off!”
“Please input destination.”
“The Gondacor Trade Station in sector 05-08!” Loke said in a hurried tone.
“Destination confirmed, prepare for take off.” The Computer cautioned.
The shuttle took off, as the enemy ships continued to pound Tortu Cor, and in the distance, Telari and Loke could see a Chelsyrian fleet moving in to intercept the enemy fighters.
“Computer, avoid this battle zone, we don’t want to get caught in the middle of this.” Loke ordered the computer.
“Very well.” The computer responded, and dove downward.
“We have to get out of here quick, before the whole sector is swarming with Chelsyrian ships!” Telari said, grabbing Loke’s hand.
“We will, don’t worry.”
Loke and Telari watched as the Chelsyrian fleets engaged the other ships in orbit, then suddenly there was a bright flash of light as Tortu Cor station shattered into hundreds of pieces.
“We got off of there just in time!” Loke said in relief. “Computer engage the engines, and take us out of here.” The shuttles engines engaged and the shuttle shot out of the system heading for the Gondacorian border.
“That we did, I owe you my life.” Telari said seriously.
“You don’t owe me anything. You were telling the truth, and the rest of our peoples need to know.”

Back on Chelsyria, in Surrelia’s palace, Empress Surrelia was irate. Surrelia had just been informed that General Songore had fled the battle of Gabe, and defected to the rebels now engaged in a battle in the orbit of Chelsyria. Empress Surrelia demanded an audience with her newly appointed General of the Chelsyrian military, General Drakus.
“General Drakus! Where have you been! I have been waiting for you.” Empress Surrelia shouted angrily.
“My apologies for my delay, the transport grid is shut down in the mist of the current chaos.” Drakus said worried.
“I don’t want your excuses! I need you to put down this rebellion before it spirals out of control. We need to have the rebellion taken care of, so we can focus on finishing of the Gondacorians. Now, tell me what you know about this rebellion. How extensive is it? What planets are involved, for they shall be gassed!” Empress Surrelia screamed, demanding answers.
“The rebellion is taking place throughout the empire, maybe about a third of our systems have decided to break away! Also a good chunk of our fleets have also defected, along with my predecessor.” Drakus reluctantly reported.
“How can it be that extensive! What the hell is going on! Is it the Gondacorians?” Surrelia furiously said.
“No, it is not the Gondacorians, infact, they are facing the same situation we are! A number of their planets have also declared their independence from the Gondacor Federation, and their military is also being strained trying to deal with the situation. We have also received reports of rebellions taking place throughout the entirety of the Galaxy.” Drakus informed Surrelia.
“How in the hell is this possible! How can a galactic wide rebellion be organized without any of us finding out about it. Do we know how many ships the rebellion has control of?” Surrelia asked, putting her hand to her forehead, sighing in disbelief.
“There is no exact count, the reports are too sketchy at this point. I do have to inform you though that Lord Kona’s government on Drengi has overthrown by the rebellion, and he has been executed.”
“Great. I am holding you responsible for dealing with these pesky rebels, and don’t be as your predecessor! I want you to apprehend Songore, and bring him to me to be personally executed!” Empress Surrelia shouted, shuddering with anger.
“It will be done my Empress.” General Drakus said, bowing then prepared to exit the palace to deal with rebel threat.
“One more thing before you go! Have you seen Loke, I haven’t heard from him in awhile?”
“No my empress, I have not seen him since the orbital attack began. Do you want me to send some of my soldiers to find him?”
“No that is not necessary, he is probably held up in the grid shutdown. By the way, get that back up and going immediately! I can not have these kind of things going on the capital planet!”
“I will have it done immediately! Is there anything else you need?”
“No, that will be all. Now get going!” Empress Surrelia bellowed out, growing more irritated.
