Moderate Man is in the Hospital

Hi Folks - this is Colleen, Elie's other half.  I wanted to let those of you that know Elie, know that he is in the hospital in serious condition.  He has some sort of viral infection that has impacted all of his systems, including his brain.  I took him in Friday morning and he has been in the ICU since then.

For those of you that know and care for Elie, I ask for your prayers or other kind thoughts into the universe for his recovery.

I will try to post something again soon.  I apologize for the "public" forum, but the truth is, I don't really know how to use the blog, so this is the best I could do.

Thanks in advance for your positive thoughts for Elie.

Colleen, Let him know we are praying for him.  If there is anything we can do (cards, letters, or calls), let us know.  I am hesitant to call based upon your report, but if he is up to it, I will be happy to talk to him for a few minutes.

Note to all: I've gotten several emails wanting Elie's physical address so cards can be sent. Please understand that I cannot, under any circumstances, share this information.

I have, however, put a call in to Colleen, asking for the address and room # of the hospital he is in. (Colleen, if you're reading this, I left the message and my call back # on Elie's cell phone voicemail.)

Elie, I hate that you have to go fight. I always become concerned when you do. I know you've always had a soft spot for those that feel passionately. I can't believe what you've been writing within the last few months. I'm torne between wondering why you've been holding back and guessing you just never spent the time. You've provided so much depth in your content since the old days of you, Doc. Guy, and Drmiler pulling the old united front; "three fingers pointing back at you!" that I feel you can't physically succumb.

If I could make it to Cali; slipping me from the bonds holding me here, I'd do it.
