The Kzinti expanded into this galaxy a mere 11.25 octals of days ago. As is destined, our rise has been swift, and our voracious hunger for battle is insatiable. Many of those that have the true spirit of Hero within them have joined us in our inevitable rise to the pinnacle of the galactic food-chain. Countless enemies have been consumed and immense galactic spoils have been seized by our ferocious t'kzintar. We feed upon the flesh of the fallen and our power grows ever greater. Foes who fight with courage and honor will be honored by a quick death and be devoured by our warriors, making their strength part of ours. The weak and the cowardly will have their carcasses left for the carrion-eaters to feed upon, their bones bleaching in the sun. Those with wisdom and cunning will choose to become the predator rather than be our prey...

Blah blah blah... get to the point. The point being, you have been at number one for at least 1 octal of a day, and are therefore ripe for picking, so to speak. We have towels!

We are not familiar with these "towels", but can only assume it is some nefarious super-weapon designed in a desperate attempt to resist us. Our brilliant Kzinti scientists will quickly create a counter-measure for this new weapon, and you will succumb as all others who have opposed us.

"the most useful (and easy to carry) tool at a hitchhiker's arsenal is his towel."

some hitchhikers have changed their towels to their specifications, but I prefer a plain towel.

*watches kzinti warriors show up at the hitchhiker's headquarters*

You know sometimes I wonder if the Patriach just hounds all the Empire threads...

Gentlemen, ready your towels. And possibly call up any powerful friends that may send in a Vogan Construction Ship or five.

Hitchhikers, assemble! We have again fallen in these ranks 14 hours ago. We're down by 9000 points. I might submit a game today to cover that gap but beware that this period of inactivity in this empire will lead only to disaster. Many other empires might surpass us. The void might become ever larger. C'mon! Submit a few games once in a while.

I'm going to try and get a game in this weekend.

I just can't seem to get any good starts with Gal Civ currently.

In those already large empires(Diplomats for example) there is no need for ambition as they are already in a secure position. Help us tear down the very foundations of these unworthy empires. Those top 10 empires have been sitting in those ranks for too long. Much too long... They shall fall and we shall be their successors...

How long have you seen those Diplomats or Kzintis or Hegemony-ions in those top ranks? You can join them but you'll never get the same kind of respect earned as you will helping build your own empire instead of joining a ready made one. Help us build YOUR empire where you can proudly say, "Come hail or high water, we shall not be surpassed"[this part bit too cheesy, me thinks]

For every galaxy you dominate is just another day for the one of the Galactic Civilizations but its the start of a new day for the Hitchhikers of the Galaxy... as the new rising champions for the metaversal throne!

I am actually amazed that we have remained so active and so great. I mean, when me and macmatt started this empire we never thought it would get big or ever reach a high ranking. It was more of a homige to a great series of books.

Now that I look back on it, this has been the best empire I have ever been a member of. Thanks to everyone, new and old

As for my game status, I have recently started one with the Yor, its not going too well, but it might be a 20-30k one. We'll see

I'll start a suicidal tiny game day after tommorow. It'll get us 15K.

On the subject of games, I did start one, and may or may not finish it at some point :p .

I have just completed the 15K suicidal game I was telling you about.

Score: 15750
Galaxy: Tiny
Outcome: Military Victory
Difficulty: Suicidal

I'll try to enhance the score and re-submit it later. The details are under my "General Hawkins" character(who btw, is now among the top 10 military solar characters). With this same strategy, I'll try a suicidal game on a small galaxy but I'm always procrastinating.

Anyway, good luck with all your games.
