Welcome!

Sins of a Solar Empire announced

Stardock Entertainment, the creators of Galactic Civilizations, and Ironclad Games which includes developers from Homeworld: Cataclysm, have teamed up to bring you an epic real-time, multiplayer, space strategy game that combines much of the epic scale of a traditional 4X strategy title with the real-time 3D experience found in releases such as Homeworld, Total Annihilation, and other such games.

Over the coming months, this site will expand to give you the full story behind this epic new franchise.  A public beta for Sins is expected this January that anyone who pre-orders the game will be able to participate in.  With your help, we hope to put together a space strategy game that players can enjoy for years to come.

On behalf of Stardock Entertainment, the publisher, and Ironclad Games, the developer, I would like to welcome you to the Sins of a Solar Empire website.

Glad to see these forums are up and hopping. It's also good to finally hear some feedback from the Ironclad crew about the deal. Way to keep us waiting Blair!

Yay. Just go and remove the whole forum of the dedicated fans, and then let a bunch of n00bs take over the distribution of the game. Smart move, very smart. You might even manage to not sell a copy now

Oh, and don't mind me, just a little dissapointed thats all....

WTF, why can i not edit my post... That is lame. I hope i don't seem to arrogant or bad or whatever, just can see SOASE going down the drain is all

I was a very hardcore Homeworld fan and am thrilled a similar game will be produced by some of the original devs. You have sold one copy even if it sux as bad as Homeworld2, because I want the devs to get a little something extra for the great work done on Homeworld.

Blair i hope you and the team will start a thread for user submitted ideas. I realize that it will get rather ragged, but it is worth a try. I know several old Homeworlder's with some excellent ideas. Now walk to the chalk board and mark up one for sure sale

Well, I just found out about this game from the GalCIv2 forum and it sounded interesting. Then I happened across a preview at IGN and even though I don't care for RTS (including the name, but that's another issue) I find myself intrigued by this game!

Sins looks like a genuinely new twist on RTS.

@Ironclad; you may have gotten yourself a new customer just by signing up with Stardock to be your publisher!

Here's to the indie Developer/Publisher, may they re-take the gaming biz for the player!

Best of luck to all involved!

ah that, means I'm in an arch of overbearing threads, but its far from spamming

dont worry, I'll get into spamming mode soon enough

its very scary wraith... you wanna hide your kids lol

spamming is when you post 3 times a day on every thread with a post thats about half a page long

of course that usually happens only when I talk about relativistic consequences in games. so dont worry, we exhausted everything about that in the last forum

I know. I looked through them once.
Congrats on having your name added Alcari...
they should definately do more stuff like that.

From what I've read so far, this sounds like another great game in the making. Congrats and good luck to both Frogboy and Blair (and the respective teams, of course) on getting this one together.
