These guys have real lives, and do have to work and pay bills etc. As far as I know, Han often works away from home for weeks at a time. Considering they have to pay for the web page, storage etc, just so you can have something for free.
It really is not fair or respectful to the guys doing the mod, by taking that tone. It doesn't exactly cause you any grief to wait. If it's any consolation, the mod forums have been very quiet of late, and most activity regarding it is over here.

As for the mod that is available for download at the moment, there are a number of bugs, and it is stripped down to what it was/will be. If you do get it, you will probs need to do some work to iron out crashes etc. Or like me, spend time putting Normal and Spec maps onto the ships.

Hani891 heya I registered on your site a month ago and still haven't been activated . You logged in here sometime in between and said that you activated everyone. My un still isn't activated. Do I need to re-register? Does your host hold unregistered clients in the database that long?? I tried to re-register, but it told me that the email addy was already used. (yea by me LOL) The Username is ezcompany and my email addy is [email protected] if that helps. Anyone know if this mod is hosted elsewhere? I really want to play this. Also any time line on when this mod will be available for Twilight??

From reading here I see it has been said you are not always around to activate people. Well when you get a chance, my username on the forum is jukem. I had the mod (for DA) and it worked fine on my computer but when I reformatted, it got corrupted on my hard drive and wouldn't install again.

Ok this shit is taking entirely too long, why the hell do we need to get "approved" to download this mod anyway? PLEASE for the love of God enable my registration!

It's been pointed out many many times... Han is often busy and is doing everything by himself. And getting angry and rude is not going to speed up your account activation.

Not only that, but the last DA version of the mod proved to be unstable and suffered from quite a few crashes. As a result you would need to do some custom work on the XML's etc to avoid more stress. If you get this worked up over getting into the forum, I can't imagine what you'll be like when you suffer the crashes.

Have patience, you will get access eventually. Hopefully when you do, you will have something useful to contribute to the TA release.

If I recall, the DL release of the ST mod was taken down a long while ago.
As i've said, there were problems with the last DA release. Originally a DA version had a full cast of races, but there were major issues.

So Han and the team he had back then, decided to do a limited release of four races to see how they worked. However, there were still problems showing up that, were mod related at first, then there were ones that were problems with DA itself.

By the time they were ready to begin work on an updated version, TA was announced, and at that time, it seemed most mod teams went into hibernation.

Since that time, Han is now the only person working on the mod, and he can only do so much with the amount of time real life gives him. This includes giving people access to the forum too.

If anyone feels that they can help Han out, and perhaps speed things up, then let him know here on this thread, and he will get back to you.

oh ok i thought that this topic and mod were dead. I also thought it was from 2005 as is with most mods i find. Well now im just confused ah o well. Back to the drawing board.

You can always download the available ship packs from the Federation and Empires Trek mod.
While their not using ported models, the work they've done with the ingame ship designer is frankly brilliant.

I've got those ships and ported ships in my game.

dumb question: where can i find them and how do i port them in to my game?
