is this Forum dead? Is the mod dead too? I don't want you to t think I'm rude, but I cant get enyone to reply to my questions and my acount for www.han891.com still isn't activated.

Since many of you have surely downloades the star trek MOD V4, can you please post it on some torrent so we can all download it?

Hi, I see there are more people getting pissed off by this. I give you my complete assurance that I understand why. 

I happened to play the V4 and I would suggest that you stick to the version I have provided on rapidshare (which is for Dread Lords). If you have trouble installing / unpacking it, please contact me via email / jabber (preferably): [email protected]. I really cant be bothered to visit a dead forum.

Btw I am actually afraid that the mods author could have some problems with me providing his work for download, so be sure to download it while you still can.

Can someone help here? Im trying to get this mod for my GalCiv2 game. I had it a long time ago but that was on an older PC. I want to download it, but I cant get to register at the mods forum it keeps spewing an error about undirectable email adress and I never recieve anything from the site to say my account has been created let alone activated.

I just want the original mod for vanilla GalCiv2, I dont have any of the expansions. Can someone help please?

Even if you signed up to the website, the original Vanilla Galciv2 version was removed a long time ago.

At least as far as I can remember. I don't know what happened to the original author, I assume that real life got the best of him. He made a post a few months back stating that he was looking for help, and that the mod would move over into TotA, but nothing has been heard since. If you look to early pages, I even jumped in often to tell people to be patient, and see what happens. I was one of a small number of people who could access the forums, which have since effectively died.

I personally have hoped to see something like the SFC or Bridgecommander communities form here, where people would release individual ships that people could pick and choose from. I think it would have been a massive boost to the Galciv modding community.. and acted as a strong suppliment to the big total conversions taking place. In my view, if individuals made and released ships like in SFC/BC, there would be a pool of already prepared ships for the total conversion teams.... And in the case of the Trek mod, could have sped things up considerably.

Sadly, this was not the case. If a full read me with the mod existed, stating who made the ships for SFC/BC, and contact with the mods author could be gained, perhaps permission could be gained, where the ships could be taken from the mod, and released individually or as race packs for people to use in their games as they see fit.

 

I just don't see that happening, and with the amount of time the total conversions are taking, i'm not sure how long Galciv will continue as it is.... It seems to me that the modding of the game has slowed to almost nothing in recent months, and I've even uninstalled the game on my gaming PC to make way for other games. At the moment, Space empires 5 is filling my 4X needs... and fallout 3 does the rest.

 

I think Galciv really needs small scale modding like SFC/BC to keep people active, because teh TC's are taking so long, the community may die out before anything significant arrives. ( something I hope does not happen!!! )

Given rav hasn't updated the Babylon 5 mod, this is about the only SCI-FI related mod that I'm interested in DLing.  If someone has the whole thing and it works for all 3 versions of the game, would love to have it.

Lots of hard work went into the mod and may soon disappear to be forgotton if not publicly shared. Maybe someone will take up the torch and continue the work but this mod deserves more notice and use.

Yes, I made the ToA version from scratch based on the old DA version and improved on it of course so it works with 2.02. There are still some minor bugs to fix, but the mod is fully playable and doesn’t crash like the previous versions did. I will just  need a place to upload the mod.

I installed the v 2.0 and the Update v.4.0 Beta Mod (imperators link) for DA but the game crashes to desktop every 30 turns or so. I ve the GC Ultimate edition (german). Can anyone help? Pherhaps i need the v 3.0?

hi id like to say gr8 job on the mod and thats about it lol. anyways iv hade the previous mods from the han81 website from version 1-4 and ever since reding the forum which i hardley ever do i herd about section 31 but unfortunatly i signed up but never recieved my activation key

How much longer now do you think until the mod is completed?  Could you give a reasonable estimate?

I would like a storyline where the Romulans and Federation-Klingon alliance start expanding into the Delta quadrant, but the Federation ends up going to war with the Romulans.  Then both sides must try to gain as many allies as they can in the Delta quadrant to eliminate the other's prescence.

ALSO, make sure to include the Talaxians, Kazon, and/or other major races from the Delta Quadrant that were in Star Trek:  Voyager!  Voyager gets ignored way too often and I have yet to see one Star Trek game where you can play as the Talaxians or Kazon.  Please include them!

I love it when other people try to TELL the modders what they MUST put into THEIR mod. How about you just be happy he's making a Star Trek Mod and keep it at that? Oh BTW, the reason no one makes Voyager mods is because Voyager SUCKED. Worst Star Trek EVER!
