Playing Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty, the original Wing Commander I & II. I'm goin old school till GC 2 comes out. I'm also waiting for Empire at War to ship to my house. I won't play GC 2 until I have both games installed at the same time. That is strange and unusual but it should be fun.

Trying to concentrate on all that Java and Web Engineering stuff for my exams, trying to make reasonable plans on how much to play GalCiv 2 before these exams (both with somewhat limited success ), browsing the forums, hanging around in the channels, advancing bit by bit in Tolstoi's War and Peace, killing time in general, ...

sleeping
waiting as calmly as I can (I sit for a few minutes and get up again)
checking the forum every minute or so for news or game examples
working (but still checking the forum from there)
reading (My War - Colby Buzzell, very interesting)
watchiing movies, sampling some favorite galactica episodes, or star trek. Anything scifi and in space, to change my mind
Waiting some more

I must say that the waiting part got harder since I downloaded everything...

And thank god for the beta, that allows for the tension to subside every now and then

Me? Reading the forums anxiously waiting for my copy from amazon.com. A little dim sum with some friends for lunch today in the freezing cold that is Chicago. Oh yeah, forum hunting...and waiting for dread lords in a fetal position hoping my fiance doesn't notice. I can't even bring myself to play GCI.

What sucks is that I have a huge amount of school work to do between now and release, I'm currently writing two term paper, a research grant proposal and doing all the normal homework and lab write-ups, as well as working at Best Buy. It sucks a large hairy .... thing.

Playing Galciv I in the largest map size. The Drengin started in a bad spot for once, and surrendered to me long ago. Believe it or not, its the Yor that are doing well this time. They've got a huge position in the middle of the galaxy, sandwiched between me and my (very weak) friends the Arcaens. Problem is, none of us have the military to atack the others, and it seems that we are all more or less going for the cultural win. Imagine that, Yor culture! Anyay, I plan to form an alliance with the Arcaens soon, then mop up the minors and then mount a final assault on the Yorian homeworlds. Should be done with this game just in time for the d/l of Galciv II!

Whoohoooo!

Well there's work, and reading threads like this, and playing other games (mostly baseball sims, with a little WoW mixed in). Primarily the work though, unfortunately.

Waiting patiently for Game Day. Reading John Ringo's "There will be Dragons". Waiting... patiently. Waiting. Eating. Waiting. Patiently, I tell you, PATIENTLY.

Well HoMM5 turned out to be not fun for me. Getting the client from Fileplanet was long. Starforce copy protection even for the beta. Actually once I found out it was MP only I said nah I don't want this hassle. When its finished (ie has a campaign and its traditional SP maps) I'll check it out.

So. Looking into launching and old M&M game or something now.

I'm mostly browsing these forums and playing empire at war at the moment. I just created a post asking for opinions on empire at war in the off topic section, but it doesn't seem to be visible on the list of topics which is strange..
Anyone else having trouble posting new topics?

The database seems to have thought it had part of the day off. Posts and times for them should settle down shortly.
