I can't believe you think there are no bugs, Frogboy. In multiplayer, its virtually unplayable (v. 1.0.0) because the game breaks half way through (unable to delete ads, can't click on candidate until the fourth or fith time trying, no synching of preferences across computers in Fantasy mode, etc. etc. etc.) --James
Iceberg1
I hate this forum. Its one of the most difficult I've ever used. --James
You can use real pictures. Just put it in PNG format. Here's one from a Google search http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:DJLAEM8dz48J:www.fatheadsweb.com/pix/HowardDeanScream.jpg James
Minor Suggestion: The first time you build a HQ, it should say "Build" on the button, rather than "Upgrade." --James
I agree. If it does adversly affect your candidate to get an illogical endorsement, I would like to be able to track that info. --James
I wouldn't buy this game (I already did) until they fix the multi-player issues. There isn't much replayability in Single player mode. Its fun in multiplayer, but the current support for it is poor. --James
Annoying!! --James
I think Chloe is Jennifer Ganholm from Michigan? --James
Great tip LastStand. I think the webmaster should be fixed, however, because if you put two or more in a state they actually GIVE you money for having ads running. The maximum you should be able to deduct from an ad campaign should be 100% (meaning no cost for maintaining an ad, not negative cost) --James
Also, some bugs I've noticed: Multiplayer, on Fantasy Mode: The two computers (I'm playing on a Home LAN) have different stats for states. E.g. we set initial awareness at 20%. My computer would have all states have 20% awareness of both candidates. The other computer had awareness of 40% for both!! I'm using version 1.0.0. On a quick action multiplayer game, I, as the client (George Bush), was unable to stop advertising after impleme
I agree with Last Stand. Make the issues harder to choose from. I would like to see Third Parties, but upon further reflection, I think I have an idea how they could be implemented. In non-historical (liked that idea from someone above. This would only work with modern campaigns) have three small-time parties with small-time candidates. The three parties would be: The Green Party, The Libertarians (or Conservative Party) and the Independent Pa
Maybe you lost because you didn't win. --James
Apparently this was changed at the last minute. There is no interview button. Just fly to the national interview camera of your party's color. --James
Might be that the margin of difference was too small. I think in the manual it said that all of the poll results are +/- 3% points. So you only have a 1% difference in the state. I'm not an expert. This is just my limited opinion. --James
Difference is, that in Chess its harder for your opponent to cheat!!
I'd also like to know if this is intentional. --James
Or those people who are pissed off would move to the other candidate if his stance on the issue isn't clear. --James
Actually our President is chosen by representatives from each of the states based on how many representatives each state has plus two (for the senators). Popular vote has nothing to do with the presidential election, other than to guage how many representatives vote for each candidate. --James
It reminds me of a chess game, only you're playing chess on a board that has states, and your pieces are HQs, operatives, advertising and your candidate. I like the short amount of time it takes to play, as it is more fun playing with another human. But, ultimately its a glorified chess game. --James
Good points. Maybe if the candidate comes out and spends a ton of money on ads or gives a lot of speeches on an issue, the endorsers could approach them with an offer to endorse? Maybe my above suggestion coupled with a thirdparty candidate would make more sense. For example, Bush seeks NOWs endorsement and gets it. This pisses off the conservatives and they vote for the independent (maybe even if the independent isn't necessarily Pro-Life. Th
I like the way endorsements are handled in the game now. In real life, a candidate usually courts a political action group for their endorsement. Using the political clout to achieve them is great and accurately models this, IMHO. I do, however, have a problem with endorsements from the opposite end of the political spectrum (e.g. NRA endorsing Bill Clinton, Environmentalist Club backing Condi Ric

I do, however, have a problem with endorsements from the opposite end of the political spectrum (e.g. NRA endorsing Bill Clinton) not hurting the candidate with their base. I'd like to see endorsements always create increased awareness (as they do now)
Aren't those the types of clues or info you're supposed to put in the "Readme," Frogboy? --James
Does that mean play each player through an entire line of opponents?? --James
Jscott, I disagree with the Altarian suggestion. Give us these features as an update rather than a full (priced) expansion. Otherwise I like the ideas! Suggestion: Fix pronoun and direct reference errors. I was playing a game as GW against Jimmy Carter, and one of the newspaper articles refered to my oponent as "Clinton." I've seen this in other matches as well. --James
