I for one was one of those "I quit the PC and bought a MAC" guys as soon as the iMac was available. I ordered one for my family - with the logic that my kids (age 2-12) will be using it for schoolwork or just playing around with it, it made sense to me. What a bad move. Not only did I order gobs of MAC software from Apple along with the PC, and I totally upgraded it just *in case* something needed the state-of-the-art feature (shades of the PC world) to run right. Using DesktopX objects as a metaphore, I don't think it's too far off that business "objects" are the norm, and that assembling them into applications will be childs play. The skill and $$$ will be in business process and procedure - having the ability to define the model that a lesser programmer will assemble.
