Actually, the .tmp file you located (was it by any chance named ~f1d055.tmp ?) shouldn't be anything malicious at all. It is well known to appear while Halo is running, and apparently the game 'uses' this file. Nothing to get suspicious about.

Very nice of the DivX Team to offer their software for free. Already got my serial number, although I really have no need for it... and Xvid will do just as fine. But FFDShow will always be my decoder of choice.
