This is an old issue from over a year ago, there has been no legitimate fix/update from Stardock. Disabling shadows does kind of help. You can stop the flickering completely by disabling scaling on your monitor. If you have a 4k monitor this is not a practical solution, but it is the only one. I gave up on CursorFX and stopped using it and chalked it up as a waste of money.
As stated in the Subtitle, whenever I update my graphics card driver, all Fences are moved to the main monitor and when I try to restore from a snapshot, nothing happens. Consequently, I have to locate and manually restore the fences. Kind of annoying. Any ideas for a fix? Try turning off HDR. Fences does not seem to be compatible with HDR.
Is there going to be an actual fix for this issue or is the fix just to buy Fences 4? I keep seeing people having trouble every week and it has been months since your team has known about the bug.
Any time frame on when this will be patched? Or is all focus on Win 11 now? It's been two months since your team was made aware of this issue and disabling Windows features is not really an ideal solution.
Sounds like the HDR bug, either turn off HDR or revert back to an older version of Fences like 3.09
Hi. I have the same problem as TrumpsMyPresident. Animated cursors are blinking. I have CursorFX 4.03, windows 10 version 20H2, gtx1660ti graphics card. Please check this problem and provide a solution.
This issue has been going on since May of last year. I hope that gives you an idea on when a solution will be provided.
Stardock has been aware of this issue since May of last year. Multiple reports from other users have been filed, and it has been reproduced by forum staff. All we can do is continue to wait.
This is the same issue that has been around since May. Stardock doesn't care and hasn't bothered to fix it, and if they have, they have not posted any updates.
All claims are with a 'custom cursor' yes? Sean Drohan Stardock Support Manager
No it is with every cursor in CursorFX custom or stock it does not matter. If you look at the gif posted by richardgoldstein, you will see that is a stock cursor.
Disabling the shadow does lessen the flickering, but it does not stop it.
I'll post my specs again since I have the same issue, and have/had the same issue since my Windows10 version 2004 update back in August, and I would like this issue fixed. My current build: OS: Win 10 Pro version 2004 OS Build: 19041.508 CursorFX 4.03 Monitor 1: 3840x2160 (scale 250%) (This one has the flickering) Monitor 2: 1920x1080 (scale 100%) (This one does not flicker)

I've had this issue since August 14th, no fix as of yet. Here is my post about it: https://forums.stardock.com/485240/page/2/#3786016 I also have 2 cursors bug with the flickering, my post here: https://forums.stardock.com/485240/page/2/#3789687
The problem is with the high DPI scaling, you can kind of fix this by going to the CursorFX.exe 's properties and going to the compatibility tab. Click Change high DPI settings and then at High DPI scaling override click the tick box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by" and then select System from the drop down menu and click apply. Relaunch CursorFX and it should be "fixed" Clearly the real problem is CursorFX interfering with Windows built in scaling across

That file does get removed after using the tool. Anyways thanks for the help, but I think I am done trying to figure this out.
I ran the purge tool again and this time it uninstalls everything (as far as I can tell), but it comes up with an error "Invalid uninstall control file C:\Programfiles(x86)\Stardick\CursorFX\uninstall\uninstall.xml"
I will give it a try Edit: I tried that and now changing the size doesn't work and it still flickers
Yes that makes it smaller, however it also makes it smaller on the 1080p monitor, so small you can barely see it, and the flickering is still there. Disabling the shadow does nothing. To be clear, before the update the cursor was the same size on both monitors and not flickering, now after the update, on one monitor the cursor is huge and flickering with a normal size cursor underneath it. On the other monitor the cursor functions normally. In summary: One monitor has a huge f
Yes I am able to size it down, but all that does is make the cursor smaller. It still flickers and has an even smaller cursor under it.
