Whenever I play against a Republican (especially McCain or Guiliani) they get bonus points after a few turns. Everytime, they have 15 stamina (McCain...come on...really?). Everytime! That is clearly a bug. Usually the media bias goes up to 10 as well. I have uninstalled and it still happens. It's really frustrating becauseit is almost impossible to beat them due to the computer effectively cheating.

Game just crashes constantly after a few turns. Downloaded new drivers this afternoon. Thanks for looking into it for a patch. Random crashes on Vista. Note that the game works perfectly on my XP PC at work. I hate Vista! I have not been able to get past turn 10, it will crash before then at some point. Game also runs choppy (odd considering it is a faster machine than my work one). Another one....after 2 turns. Very odd. Thanks guys. I am going to delete the game and do a fresh install. Cannot hurt. Random crash during the game. First crash since I've updated the drivers. Cari, I don't think that is it. I bought the MacBook because my Acer was overheating so much with Vista! It's funny because Vista runs much better on my MacBook (of course it's newer too haha). I have Vista Basic so I am not wasting anything on that aero glass. Whenever a crash happens, I'll end up back in OSX, and my temperature reading is 57ish which is completely normal (even low for just using a game). I will definitely check tomorrow night though. I really hope I don't have overhea
Beaux, Yes, I concur with your two points. Either way, independents favor withdrawal generally I'd say. Marlowe, Thanks for that poll. There was also a CBS one where 61% said within a year as well. Thanks for reinforcing that. The press certainly adores McCain, he is treated as some of god to them. He should have a 10 there for sure. Remember he even said "the press is my base". Overall, I don't think the game producers are being biased now that I have
Yes, I have in another thread (thcrash one). I am attempting to update my drivers on my work laptop now. However, it's done it several times on my fresh copy of Vista on my Macbook. I know those drivers are up to date. I will report those crashes as well when I am home. I know Stardock will take them and fix them. I was lucky with all the GalCiv's so I guess it's my turn for problems.
The Problem with making a game based on real data is that we end up unbalanced statistics. I know people are saying the game leans right, but the truth is that because we use real world data, the game is actually biased to the Democrats. At the moment is much easier to win on normal difficulty or above as a Demarcate. It is much more difficult to win as a Republican.
Actually, you're right. Except McCain, he always seems to have a huge lead in the games I have started. Ei
BoogieBac, Will do. This is my work laptop so I am not too familiar with it. Still crashes more often on my newly installed (and thus new drivers) Vista macbook at home.
Just crashed on my work laptop. Seems to work better on XP than Vista Basic I have on my MacBook at home. The crashes are out of control. I've given up on playing the game. It has crashed 4 times now. Twice it has knocked my Mac completely out of Windows (blue screen about memory dump) and back to OS X. That's not good at all. I've noticed if I try to do a radio ad in TN with John Edwards about the economy it crashes. I'm really disappointed but have faith it will be fixed ASAP. How were these *major* crashes not found? Stardock has always been really good about releases.
As I play more, I definitely see the balance. Much more realistic than PM1. Love it so far. However, it is crashing a lot. And sorry, the CBS poll I was thinking of is 62%. Can't seem to find a poll just asking independents, but I am guessing you have plenty. Thanks for the hard work, I've loved Stardock games since 2003 with GalCiv.
I've had two crashes on one game. I can at least play the game, but even if you get to a game, it'll probably crash. I am running Vista Basic on a MacBook (Mac's run vista way better than my pc does haha). VERY frustrating. I even got a blue screen of death on Vista due to the game. Stardock games have always been stable (PM1, GC, GCII, etc). I'm sure these issues will be addressed though.
Yeah, that is not fair at all. Seems like the game is completely biased towards the Republicans. Even issues such as the Iraq war show independents in line with the republicans. Democrats and Independents are much more alike on key issues for 2008 (Economy, Iraq War, etc.).
Mind you, I've only played around with it at work, but both times almost the whole entire country is painted in a sea of red. Romney beating Edwards by 20%+ in most states? Wtf? Hopefully they were just flukes, otherwise the game is completely of no use to me. Btw....Withdrawing from Iraq is also favored by independents...not just Democrats (70% of the entire US Population)...yet it is a losing issue for Democrats in this game?
