It certainly would be interesting to see the 1337 h4x0rz of GalCiv battle it out, but I too think that they should focus on the singleplayer aspect of the game. If it comes in an expansion then that is all right, but I probably wont be playing it much online.

Well, we must remember that nVidia was a bit surprised that ATi came up with a good design (the R300 and R400 are the same thing, just tweaked). ATi bought the basis for R300 from ArtX (ATi has yet to release a competitive product that they developed in house). nVidia: Better features. People with R400 are starting to feel the lack of SM3.0 and 16 bit FP plending for HDR. And now it seems that ATis answer to G70 will come more than a quarter after nVidias release.

Newbie question in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hello all. I've a few questions: Is it neccessary to switch from imperial government to something more democratic to survive on higher difficulty levels? I fint it quite problematic to survive at normal difficulty. When I try other government types than imperial I always end up with having to set my taxes to 0% and I may still not have enough support to keep control of the senate. Anyone have suggestions on what i am doing wrong? Do I need to research more crowd pleasing stuff,

Disabling Monsters and minor Races? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Is it possible to disable monsters and minors? The problem is that i suck so much at this game that i can't take out a monster, and the minors are generally annoying (often much bigger than the major players). I can't even hold my own at normal diffuculty... It doesn't matter if removing monsters and minors is considered a cheat since reporting my games to the metaverse isn't too important to me. Thanks for all the feedback. I had not expected so many replies in such a small period of time. Just a followup question to all of you who have played at the higher difficulty levels. Are the minor races (eg. I-league) less powerfull (compared to the other major civs) at these difficulty settings? As i mentioned at first, the I-league had a military ranking of about 650, while i was largest of the major civs at 150. I did manage to take them out though (how ever did i do that). <br

I'm a rather new player, and i've still got problems when playing at the third difficulty level (Perhaps some of you have some advice concerning that too?) Anyhow... I've always experienced minor races (often I-league) becoming near all-powerfull compared to me, while i've been much more powerfull that the five main races.
