If you find a Free Trandals' beacon AFTER you've met them, the quest entry to check Livoren cluster won't be greened out. Actually, by this time I've even helped them get new members from Overminded Trandals, and only then learned about the beacon by a message from Earth - so I'm not sure at what step the quest check fails.
Also there is a bug. If you're not releasing boost or jump button when lander boost battery depleted, you won't boost/jump (obviously) but the battery won't recharge until a boost/jump button is released.
It is an old school game, remember? :)
I agree that buying fuel could be made into separate big button. Now it's too many clicks deep, and you can easily forget about topping up fuel.
