The campaign seems to get really hard on the 5th candidate (Nixon/Clinton)

Your VP gives you a boost in their home state,and you can move the vp around to boost awareness.

I think there is a 2 per turn limit or something.

The stamina attribute seems overpowered to me. A candidate with 10 points in stamina can do 50% more things than someone with the base of 5 stamina.

I think he made the best choice. I think the reason for the discrepency is that in TPM, the VP is much more closely linked to their home state than in real life. In the Iowa caucuses, Edwards received many more votes than Gephardt.
