Hi there! Same thing happened to me when I first installed the game, and no amount of drivers upgrade or anything could fix it until I tried checking "Start game in window" in the options screen. It still plays fullscreen (as before), but without any mouse or lag problems. Don't know if that will work for you, but hey, you never know...

Try as I may, I'm quite unable to figure out exactly what Speeches and Ads do, and when to use them.
