I mean, even a redo, I will prob never "compete", but the system is a mess and I would love to see as much support for it. There have been plenty of updates to the core game. Step back and fix the Metaverse is the next step. I would also like to see them take a month to just let the game be. Fix it as it is, you know, the Metaverse and any current in game bug

RayChua, No offense, but you are rank 5 now, so of course you have the care free happy go lucky attitude about the system. But plain and simple, the Metaverse is a mess. Everything you posted is the hype they made the Metaverse to be(and is not), but simply it is a submit only high scores, or lots and lots of scores, or some such combo. forceinfinity, naw, the score of 86 was always 86 from the first time I noted it. Also, at that point I was a rookie, prob still am, but was real green then and did not know the in and outs of the game(population and tech counting toward score and such). I would not submit a simple game at that point anyway, especially after getting good enough to submit two games in the hundreds, the 483 and 341. LDiCesare, Explain how submitting scores helps the developers with the AI. Was there a comment sometime by Frogboy that they can improve AI based on our submitted scores? I thought they just addressed AI based on the commments on the forum and their own continuing playtesting. Also, forceinfinity, check submitting a low score into your scores, and you drop in rank. So the whole Metaverse is about putting in higher and higher scores(more and more scores also). It was a fun idea ... at first, but it is a broken system that will be easier to address sooner than later. Does anyone else feel that the Metaverse is just one big joke anymore? :notsure: I mean, the ranking is soley based on playing alot of games and posting them. Where is the skill? :( Simply put, you can not possibly catch up to players with huge scores and lots of high score games already submitted. I just do not have the "TIME" to compete with them. The Tech tree navigator IN-GAME with be great! As will more powerful govenors(hate late game tasks, slow game way down). Better AI diplomacy sounds great. Would like some solution to the arrow up and down in diplomacy screen, be nice to be able to just branch out like a windows folder for ship types. :)

I usually save when there is an announcement about the upcoming UP vote. This way you can reload in the case of a repetative UP vote or an rediculous vote such as terror star early in game. ;)

What I want to do is download, but not install, the newest patch. Do not currently want to upgrade as have couple games on older patch to finish up. Installation of Galciv on two different PCs in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hi, Anyone know if you can install your single copy of galciv on two different PCs and still function properly with downloads, Metaverse, and such. Not sure if I am saying this right. But what I would like to do is have the game on two different PCs so I can play depending on which location I am at. Was also thinking it would be a means to keep a version of the game you enjoy currently while keeping current updates on the other. :)

But I see what ya mean. I have left of "low" scores(1000 to 2000) to wait till I was "skilled" enough(before I foung out the game extension exploit) to compete on Metaverse. (Sorry for two posts) LOL

Check out the Metaveres Code Monkey, they have already nerfed the old scores. The Huge 35000 first place single game submitted score top player is gone and is all the 20 k scores as far as I can see.
