one word of advice.dont buy it. i was always happy with the free version, the one you pay for is crap, sorry. nothing works, all my docks have disappeared, cant even get rid of it, save your money. i wont be using object dock anymore, its not reliable.

get walkers from desktopx objects. you do not want bonzi in your system. he comes with so much spyware, it's surprising he can move. i installed him on my first pc before i knew better, and there are still traces of him in my registry i can't get rid of

i posted this as a reply to another question, but thought if i started a new post, more people will see it. i had winstyles and theme manager installed. last time i went to SD Central, it told me theme manager wasn't installed, so i reinstalled it. problem was, it didn't recognize my old suites, and winstyles didn't work anymore. so i went to my program file for object desktop. go to winstyles/themes, and copy everything to theme manager/themes. say yes to replace all to avoid duplicates. i did
i had theme manager installed, as well as winstyles. went to SDCentral the other day, and it showed as if i never installed it. i re-installed, but it didn't recognize my old suites, and winstyles would no longer work. i went to my object dock folder, went to winsyles folder, then to themes. i copied all the suitws to the themes folder in theme manager. voila, i have them all back.

how do you apply icon packages now? used to be i could apply with SD central, i still can if the file is in the library, but christmastime full and x-toon won't show up. i've downloaded the files to icon packager, but when i click on them, instead of loading in icon packager, icon developer pops up and wants me to edit package. when i don't edit, it doesn't do anything, and i can't install. what's the new trick/
i recently upgraded to Netscape 7.1 and that's the version that's skinning. Netscape 7.0 on my other PC is only skinning top
I occasionaly pop up Netscape, just to check out a different browser. I just did that, and it took me a few seconds to realize that the browser was fully skinned! Either I haven't been paying attention, or it wasn't like that last week. Anyone else notice this? I just went and double checked. I changed skins twice and Netscape skinned right along with Explorer. How nice.

i was reading more of the posts, none of my bootskin folders are empty. i don't get error messages, but they don't load.
i didn't have a problem installing new skins, i just clicked on them[i have mine set for one click instaed of double], and they installed successfully. but if i try to use any of the skins, i get a pink default boot screen, and can't see progress bar moving. didn't crash system, left bootskin installed, but usind default screen. using public075 build.

but harder to understand and use. I used spybot without knowing what I was doing and destroyed comet cursor and hotbar. Not spybot's prob, it was mine, but be careful. I can't complain 'tho. losing comet cursor led me to Cursor XP, which led me to Wincustomize, then to Object Desktop. The rest is history. I have nearly every program installed, including every beta, all are running concurrently, and my PC is actually running better than before. Used to have a restart problen, not after
i just installed the public075 build of bootskin. it didn't crash my system, but the only change is that the normal bootscreen is pink, and you can't see the progress bar moving. i left it installed, but switched back to default screen. any solutions?

I used the article by Draginol to make my first DesktopX object yesterday. When I learn to use PSP8 better, I can do a better job. What I want to know is, is there anyway to save the object, or if I delete it, do I have to start over? Just beginning to learn to get the hang of this, and if I'm overlooking the obvious, I don't mind being told.
