After installing Start8 on my AMD Athlon II X4 system with 8GB I was no longer able to run any combination of VMs with Hyper-V that used over 3GB. A single 4GB VM would not start until the memory was lowered down to around 3300MB. Task Manager shows more than enough available RAM, for example. 3GB VM running, TM shows 4GB+free, attempting to start a 2GB VM fails. Similarly, with nothing running but system tasks, a 4GB Vm will fail to start with the same lack of memory error.

I had the same problem...I have a much older thread until I installed the latest beta 1.20j[rc]. https://forums.stardock.com/?forumid=267&aid=161468 Now I can't get MP to select my 2nd NIC, it only attaches to the primary NIC, unless I change my 2nd nic to the primary, run the MP config, reboot, then change my other NIC back to primary. It's held for a reboot, so this may work... spoke too soon. the latest beta still doesn't fix the left-click problem (:(

I've been seeing this problem more freqeuently lately. When I move the mouse from the primary, Vista x64, to the secondary, XPSP2, the left-mouse does not work...it either does nothing or acts as a right-click. Moving back to the primary the mouse continues to function correctly. Using the mouse on the secondary and left-clicking restores proper functionality. I have added the app to the Windows firewalls on both computers. Multiplicity is on a secondary subnet with static IPs.

I have VMWare Workstation and Player installed on both my primary and secondary machine and have connectivity most of the time...I think something else is causing your issue.

Lantec, Hmm, now that you mention it, I think I only started seeing this problem after I got my Razer Plasma mouse. Of course, it was on both my old machine and I moved it to my new machine. I'm running Office 2K3 SP1, and I used that for a while with WB with 0 problems. The only major change was the Razer mouse and drivers. Thanks for the inspiration. SJ

Hi, With WindowBlinds running, occasionally a window will no longer be clickable. Clicking on the window does nothing, if there is another window open behind it, it will be brought to the front. This happens most commonly with IE and Word. The IE/Word doc can no longer be clicked in, but you can still type in a word doc. When this happens, area in the the corners of the window between the rounded window skin and the actual square corner

Windows is a piece of garbage. Yes, I said it. For the home user, Windows flat-out sucks. The GUI is inconsistent, muddled, confusing and jammed full of crap. You really have to know what you're doing to keep Windows secure and stable on a daily basis. Installing software isn't nearly as easy as it should be, and the quality of d

My first blog, or more accurately rant. After 10+ years in IT, I've returned to college to finish off my bachelors degree in computer engineering and the quality (or lack of) of text books still amazes me. Personally, any text book author that repeatedly uses the phrases "its clear that..." or "its obvious that" is not really in touch with his audien

I agree, I've found a lot of cool skins, but they all seem to be lacking some part of usability, white fonts on light gray tabs, black fonts on dark blue backgrounds, excessive use of shadows that blur text, as well as the above mentioned issues. When I first got Windowblinds, I was awed, but as I started searching for a good skin, they all had some fatal flaw that made them hard to use, I really like LaST, but in Office 2003 apps, the tabs o

#6, I agree. I don't know about awesome tech support...if that means googling for your problem, then searching various Linux forums, creating new accounts for each so you can post a question, then being told you're a noob and to go read the man pages, or that you should use the only REAL distro of Linux, my distro, yours is crap... One of the biggest issues with Linux and Linux users is the elitism of lot of them display, "Oh, Linspire/Xandr

Hi, What about dual monitors? Could I say have computer A (primary) with 2 monitors and computer B (slave 1) with two monitors and additional computers with single monitors? What if just the primary computer has 2 monitors, and all the rest have just one? Are these scenarios workable? The n computers and n monitors seems to imply that a computer can only have one monitor attached? Thanks
