I believe it's got something to do with your AntiVirus software interfering in some way.
I'm gonna try disabling Defender, thanks for the tip :)
Expect such issues using what is essentially a beta build of an OS. I'm sure SD is grateful for you reporting it.
Yeap, beta program over beta OS [e digicons]O:)[/e] B
...Neither was I, but once I'd tried the Win 7 beta, now the RC, I really like it and have every intention of getting it once it goes on sale, but in the x64 edition. I have a pretty decent quad core machine with 8 gigs of RAM and believe that I'd be able to get more out of it than with Vista, due to Win 7's smaller size, increased speed and under the hood improvements...
Maybe that's my problem with Vista here, my machine
I would purchase Windowblinds right now if I knew I would have a free upgrade to WB 7. Somehow, I doubt that will happen.
So do it, buy the whole package, it's an annual subscription and you'll be testing WB7 beta with us. You'll get WB, IconPackager and a lot more. You won't be disappointed.

So, Starkers said:
Stardock is NOT MS Corel or Adobe, either in size or resources, so it's a matter of being patient and waiting for SD to release a copy of WB7 it believes is suitable for public use. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]:O[/e] ...Back from hibernation... Beta OS? No, it's not, it's RC, which means [everybody knows, whatever] Release Candidate, and they told me there will be no RC2. So Windows 7 status, right now, is RC, not beta. Jafo said:
If current [WB] users choose to experiment with Win 7 that is their choice, not Stardock's. Determine when the release date is for Windows 7. Step 2. Add a little time. Step 3. Enjoy....
But I'd like to skip to step 3...[e digicons]:pout:[/e] So...
My personal opinion on that would be to put it out when it has all current functionality. Once it's stable, it's alot easier to keep track of what feature break something while things are implemented. Ofcourse, it depends a bit on how much work it is to adapt the core... If there are too many changes that need to be done on the core for the new features, it could be better to prepare for the new features first, thus put out the beta
