Jahman, dejiko, I was part of the original betas for Object Desktop. At that time, it was also a paid entry, EXCEPT that the charge also included a one-year charter subscription to ODNT that lasted from the day you entered the beta program to one year after ODNT went gold. Also, the charter rate was about 10-15 dollars less than the final ODNT charge. I'm sure Brad will clear this up, but I can't imagine that the same situation won't apply here

I like the new design overall, but I miss being able to restrict the number of libraries that are available in the Gallery section. There's only four of them that I'm actually interested in (maybe five or six now that you have Firefox and Screen Saver sections). To me, the rest are wasted space.

I don't think there's anything Stardock can do unless the 2Xplorer developers allow it to use system icons. Servant Salamander does allow this, although in a much more Norton Commander-ish interface http://www.altap.cz not affiliated, just a happy user.

Dvorak's a pointless blowhard 90% of the time he's expounding on the latest trend. Maybe he gets some points in every once in a while, but it's been over a year since I've done more than skim his columns. That's usually all it takes to figure what his "angle" for a given article is.

I wish the MMJB developers would get their act together. I just imported my primary music library (4438 MP3s, 11.8 days of music in 22GB) and iTunes completed the library update in about 4 minutes. MMJB would crash outright midway through, and use about 3x the RAM in the meanwhile. SoundCheck (the volume leveling EQ feature) is looking to take about an hour for all files on a P4 1.6, based on the 10% completed in the last 5 minutes. All that, and RAM usage with the app normal

I've tried MMJB, Winamp3, RealCr...One Player, and WiMP9 for the jukebox capabilities, and none of them compare to iTunes. Some of the functionality is off by default, but turning on the browser function is mega-cool (the normal display is just a single big-a** list. The browser enables a 3-column filter list at the top of the file listings which lets you dynamically filter by Genre, Artist and Album in any combination.)

Direct query to the Database supplying the ASP content. Saves you having to deal with the HTML UI of the website,,, I would imagine (but don't quote me on this being a feature) that you can make more robust queries through this program than you can through the web site (IOW, find ALL OS/2 related skins, regardless of program, instead of the current hunt-by-library that the web site allows)
