When you drag a windows over another one, than when title bars collide, you should see a message "Group this window and the dragged window" - that does not work for you?

Windows 10 Task Manager not animated in WindowFX Stardock Forums

On Windows 10, when I open the Task Manager, instead of the Wobbly Windows animation on movement, the window diseappears, and reappears when the mouse button is released. But only in situations, when there is no other window (e.g. File Explorer) open - if the latter, then also the Task Manager window is animated without issue. EDIT: WindowFX 6, also Fences 3 and ShadowFX active. EDIT2: Well, the issue is gone after a shutdown and reboot...

I am actually seeing some (maybe placebo) performance gain, when windows are transparent, while when they are solid, it seems a bit more sluggish. I suspect my mind is a bit desoriented:-)

I am using Decor8, Start8, ModernMix, Fences2 and nothing more, yet I am OK with the subscription fee and certainly do not think it was too much.

Yes, I think this would be great addition - I just love the full screen on Office 2013 (365 Home Premium, to be accurate) and can imagine quite a lot of desktop apps that would benefit from this. BTW: Thanks to Stardock, everyone can mix and match the feature he loves and hates about Windows 8 UI and that is priceless.

I imagine it would be a real pain to achieve, if possible at all - as desktop (as I understand it) functions like an metro app sui generis to launch "legacy" apps. I doubt that anything like you are suggesting is possible without some serious rewriting of the engine itself.
