Universal Applications menu empty in Start Menu Products Stardock Forums

I am running Start10 v1.02, and noticed the Universal Applications menu is empty. It is populated on two other machines. The machine with the problem was upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro and was running Start8. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Start10, but the menu is still empty. I just installed Start8 v1.31 to a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro. I noticed the "Highlight Newly Installed Applications" option is not working on this installation. It is not real big deal, but I wonder how to get it working. I do believe it is working on other Windows installations. Steve

That did the trick! It works okay without Windows 7 mode when only running Start8. But I just started using Modern Mix, and that is when the bug appeared. It looks like Parallels provides Start8 and Modern Mix for free. I had been using both before on real Windows machines, so the Windows 7 mode through me for a loop. Steve

Start8 doesn't work after installing Modern mix in Start8 Stardock Forums

I noticed Start8 quit working soon after installing Modern Mix. Start8 no longer controls the Start Button icon. Clicking the button launches Apps view, which is my default. My only fix is to uninstall both Start8 and Modern Mix, and then reinstall Start8. I am using the latest versions of each, under Windows 8.1 Pro on a MacBookPro and Parallels Desktop 9. Obiviously I'd like to run both product. For the moment, I am only running Start8.

Recently used applications bug in Start8 Stardock Forums

I really like Start8, but the recently used applications feature has been acting strangely. Sometimes applications that I have been using a lot no longer appear. Then if I use it once or twice then it goes right back into the recently used application list. Some applications such as Command Prompt never show. On Windows 7 and earlier, it took a long time for applications to show on the list, but once they showed, they stayed there until you removed them. I really depend on this feature a
